2017 DISNEYLAND RESORT HALLOWEEN TIME / MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THREAD!

I agree! I would have gone just for the regular Disneyland offerings, but the DCA decorations took it over the top. With two kids (one starting high school and one starting middle school) it's really plan a DLR trip except during normal school vacations, but our district added a three day weekend in October this year. Lol, you know Disneyland was the very first thing I thought of when I first heard about that October 3-day weekend!
Check figment's 2017 calendar for potential happenings over your weekend if you want a heads up on how crowded it will be for planning purposes. At least 2 weekends in Oct are known to get a bit crazy crowd wise (gay days, Oct 6-8 this year & Utah Escapes to Anaheim weekend (Utah schools out of session), oct 19-20) https://www.disboards.com/threads/2017-calendar-of-events-school-breaks-and-dlr.3528760/ Not xmas crazy, I'm not trying to freak you out :) more like summer crazy. If you fall in either of those weekends and haven't booked your hotel room might want to get on that.

Yes visa cardholders can purchase today - called right at 10 (7 PCT) waited approx 30 mins. Not sure if people were asking about taxes, but they are included in the $105 (or whatever price your day is).
Total for family of 6 is $635 to have them mailed. (No discount on the date we could go) I didn't purchase this morning. Will we make a crazy choice to splurge in a couple weeks if they're still available? Maybe. That's steep for a 5 hour party. (And I worry the littlest of my troupe won't make it until midnight like last year.)

Thanks! I'm pretty well-versed in navigating crazy crowds at DLR as are DH and both DDs. We don't mind. We are going over Gay Days weekend since that's when the district gave us Friday off. I'm actually a firm believer in HydroGuy's High Season/Off Season Trade Off Rule. :goodvibes

Can you tell me what phone number you used?

Not sure if this has been asked yet but as an annual pass holder, am I able to buy party tickets with my discount for friends, that are going with us, that aren't annual pass holders? Will there be an issue at gate entry?

I bought ours this morning online but I want to be sure before buying theirs

So are there any Disney Visa discounts on tickets this year as there have been in years past? We are wanting to go to the October 17th party!

The only discounts are the first three weekday dates in September. Nothing in October.

Finally had a chance to read through all of the information about HalloweenTime and it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! The Carsland overlay sound interesting and cute. It'll be interesting to see how in depth the overlays will be (I imagine it could be as simple as a new music sound track for both attractions and lots of decorations). The character costumes sound cute; I bet that'll make them very popular to meet!

As mentioned previously, I'll be tracking the sell out dates again this year in the 2017 Calendar of Events thread (third post)!

From past experience, how late can I make dinner reservations for a party night in which I don't plan on buying Party tickets? If the party starts at 6pm, can I make 6pm reservations for dinner and then leave after we eat?
In the past, reservations tended to stop about one hour prior to the start of the party at some locations. I think Carnations might have taken reservations longer, whereas restaurants deeper into the park stopped earlier. We'll know for sure in a few days.

It's for the parade viewing I believe, which they did last year and most people felt it had little value as parade seating wasn't too difficult to find.
I agree; the package wasn't necessary for good parade viewing last year, but it food from the package itself was very good. I'm also curious to see if they change anything to make the package more enticing to guests this year, especially for returning guests. For those are curious, I have a detailed review of last year's package in my HalloweenTime trip report.

Yes -- same as the AP discounts. Just a few nights offer the cheaper tickets, though.

I was under the impression that we could access BOTH parks during the actual party - which I saw the benefit in doing. But just access to the park beforehand? The price is too high. And no AP discount for most parties is kind of a slap in the face. After talking with my kids and hubby, we decided to put the extra money towards our Christmas trip. Between the hotel stay and party tickets, we can upgrade to CL at the GCH for our Christmas trip. Oh well. It's sad to think this may be the last year we could do a party at Disneyland (if rumors are true it moves to DCA next year). But my kids don't even seem excited about Halloween and are so focused on going during the holidays - I just can't justify the cost. :(

Hi! Long time lurker who loves to read the Dis. I normally wouldn't post but noticed on the Disney Chase Visa website that it states:

"your Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket is a Park Hopper ticket that allows you to visit the Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park in one day."

I'm on hold to purchase my tickets now, so I'll confirm with the CM when I get through but thought this info might help those who are undecided.

Just remember, the MHP ticket will allow guests entry into either both DL or DCA starting three hours before the party (so at 3:00 pm when the party starts at 6:00 pm or at 4:00 pm when the party starts at 7:00 pm). The ability to enter DCA with the MHP ticket is new this year, but my guess is that they're hoping to spread out the pre-party crowds a bit.

Hi!! You ARE a long time lurker, love the name btw :) Yeah, it's so confusing because yes the tickets do get you into both parks for the 3 hours of overlap when the parks are open to the public. However, when reading the description of the party itself the Disneyland website specifically mention "at Disneyland Park" so we're thinking the party itself is still just in the one park. Mind you I was one of the one's concerned I wouldn't get access to early booking as Disney Visa cardholder! So take what I say with a grain of salt ;)
