2017 0501 Animal Kingdom Day 3

Monday May 1st.

Animal Kingdom ...Awesome even before Pandora.Left AoA resort a little after 8. Drove rental to Animal Kingdom, Arrived approx. 8:30. As usual parking was smooth and easy. Disney has the parking, loading and unloading figured out.
Stopped for a bit of magic...
Began learning how be a Wilderness Explorer.

Rope dropped
Kilamanjaro Safari...
Kids loved the safari we saw a lot of animals and they were fairly active. There was trick bridge that we drove over. It got wobbly and my daughter just loved that. Safari guide was very good.
Then
we walked Gorilla Falls. Lizzy and Logan really enjoyed stopping and observing things. Dad did his best to relax and not worry about a schedule and the next fast pass.

-10am stopped at Kusafari for snack. Cinnamon roll was good.

Then we walked for our 10:15-11:15 FP.
Kali River Rapids. Loved it, we had our ponchos. But I didn’t get my legs covered so my pants got soaked. When we were leaving Lizzy wanted to save her poncho. I said no (she wants to hang on to every little thing all the time). So I threw them away. More on that later.

headed to Expedition Everest 11:15-12:15 FP…kids excited before, they were not after. Lizzy just plain hated it and was terrified from then on. I believe it was the backwards in the dark fast that she did not like. Logan put on a brave face. Lizzy said never never ever again.

after that we started walking towrds our 1-2 FP. Dinosaur. Along the way we decided to hit the Nemo show It was really good. Exceptional quality and a top tier stage show. Even though bubbles were kids favorite part.

You do actually forget that it is puppets with actors below and get emerced in the show.

Went to our Dinosaur FP. was a little rough but fun. Lizzy’s head was buried in moms arm the whole ride (after effects of earlier EE).

Continuation...Animal Kingdom day 3
Restarauntasaurus (typical fried foods)..kids nuggets, dad had chili fries(better than expected) and shari had salad.
Added a fast pass for Tough to b e a Bug while walking around…
After lunch we were playing in the dino playground and guess what it started to pour and against my daughters wished I had thrown away our Ponchos after KRR. She did not let forget that....lol....so we hid out under some of the equipment and stayed as dry as possible...


Short rain..we were soaked but thats ok. we started to walk to our next FP and we decided to get the kids caracatures..that was cool..

Worried that we may not make FP hurried to Tough to be BUg...made it..3D was fun. Air pockets in seats and water spray was really a lot of fun.


Back to the boneyard play area for a bit more play.

Walked to the Tree of Life. Spent a lot of time picking out animals on the tree.

4:45pm Tusker House with Rivers of Light PKG. While waiting for table, Goofy walked up behind Shari and startled her.lol. buffet was ok, not our style but something different. Character interaction was fantastic.
Donald wrote Donald #1. Then mickey signed mickey. Lizzy wrote #1 after Mickey and showed Donald. They started play argueing and fighting. the interaction was fantastic. FUN..

around 6:30 rode Killamanjaro Safari again.
while waiting in line at the half way mark, Lizzy had to pee, castmembers let them run and pee Logan & I waited in line and then got to get back to us.Very cool of them. So impressed with continued customer service.
But ride not quite as fun the second time, driver not quite as charismatic.

back to boneyard. Stalling for light show. Boneyard was our go to stalling spot...

Rivers of Light. Really enjoyed it.

Long day.

Home at 10:30…pizza from LoF then bed.
