2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Just FYI- Mexico wouldn't let us use a QS credit for three snacks . Every other booth was fine with it. We're going to try again today and see if we get a different answer. No issues at China or Hops and Barley.

I mentioned earlier in this thread that it seemed like there were fewer kiosks this year - I made that comment after a few beers walking past Mexico and Norway where there are no kiosks. The kiosks seem like they are laid out a little differently this year - space is better organized.

Also, I bet it has been mentioned here somewhere, but I saw that if you sampled EVERYTHING at F&W ir would cost in excess of $1,200.

Wow!

I dumped everything into a spreadsheet, and I think that's right. My total of ALL items is $1,235. I also saw someone on here (can't remember who) report that this was several hundred LESS than last year as a total.

We got back home on Sunday. As other have said, the weather was very hot. Because of the heat, we always left the park several hours before park closing. So we didn't get to sample everything we wanted (no pork belly or waffle). Of the food, my wife's favorite was the Loaded Mac and Cheese, and mine was the Pig Wings. Our least favorite drink was Japan's Echigo Junmai Sake, followed by Hawaii's Mai Tai. I was really disappointed in the Mai Tai. Our favorite was China's Kung Fu Punch, followed by Mexico's Pineapple Margarita.

We also did a couple of events: The Mexican Tequila Lunch on Thursday, and What's Cooking With... Robert Irvine on Sunday. The Mexican Tequila Lunch was really good and we would do it again. As for What's Cooking With, Robert Irvine was excellent, but the food was a disappointment. We were served Eggs Benedict. Although the Hollandaise Sauce was very good, some of the eggs were overcooked and hard instead of runny, and the muffin was extremely hard and nearly uncutable with a knife. But Robert is an excellent speaker and very entertaining. Afterwards, we did the meet and greet with Robert.

We also purchased the 16 coupon Tasting Sampler. We used the coupons on drinks that were $7.50 and up, while using magic band for everything else. It worked out well for us, and we managed to save money with the sampler coupons.

DVC member lounge: more spacious, lots of places to charge your phone, but no bathroom.

Chase Lounge: smaller, but has a bathroom.

There aren't fewer kiosks. More of them are over on the Future World side now.

If you have 8pm tickets to the eat to the beat show. What time do you have to be there? If you get there ten mins before is that ok how does it work??

What kind of "ticket" do you have?

I don't believe they are doing fastpasses this year, so you probably either have a dining package or Chase wristband.

Either way, if you get there that late, you may find that you've lost your seating advantage because they've opened those areas up to the general public by then.

sorry doing the eat to the beat package. does the ticket indicate what time to be there for ??

Total F&W newbie here, not sure if this was asked or not (maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know)- can you carry your alcoholic drinks with you as you walk around the showcases? I would love to try a few of the drinks, but don't want to have to down them that fast (I'm a slow sipper!).

Slow and easy, no problem! You can stroll and sip at your own pace around the WS! I'm a slow lightweight, too!

Yes, you can carry your drinks all around Epcot. But you cannot take them out of the park.

I have never done the eat to the beat dining package but I can't imagine that you can show up 10 minutes until showtime and that seating area will still be roped off. I'd imagine they tell you when to get there.

are they doing the wristbands for Eat to the Beat concerts? If so, what time would be good to get them?

Yes wristbands are being given. I do not know if they are for every day or just weekends.

They are first come, first served, until they run out, so if you want a popular act I'd be up there at 11 when the lounge opens (with your entire party...they won't provide a band for someone who is not present).

I am hoping to purchase the "sampler ticket" and also get the limited edition F&W gift card. Do you think they would accept discover card? I know some places only accept visa/mastercard? thanks in advance :)

I showed up a few minutes before each concert and had no problem getting a seat for my DH and I.
