2015 Villain’s Sinister Soiree

I've been to three sold out parties and I always 15 minutes prior to the parade get prime viewing in the front by the train station / town square all three times

Honest question for those booking what entices you to this? I'm not being nasty I'm honestly wondering

We have a 22-month old who will not make it for the second parade and is borderline on characters so far. Hubs is not much of a rides guy and does not do crowds well. My teen niece is a cupcake freak and she and bro will be my ride buddies during the second parade after hubs and Mr. Littles head to the hotel.

If it were just hubs and me, we would not bother - we would hit the second parade, trick-or-treat, and get bunches of character shots.

So, can I ask where you recommend watching the fireworks from (I saw you were able to sit by town square for the parade)? I'm no good with heavy crowds!

Going by our experience in the reserved area last year for VSS, I know it's a different spot, but this might be the same, we couldn't have sat and seen the parade. We had to stand for that. Everyone was standing at the rope. We were able to spreadout and sit for the fireworks. Just an fyi.

We got there a little early, and sat at the rope. Most of the people around us did. It allowed us to have a seat, a great view, and the people standing behind us to have a great view as well. In fact, I think everyone actually right in front of the rope followed suit and sat, giving standing room first row viewing to the people behind us.

FYI - after a severe debate with myself, I decided to go ahead and book the party. I couldn't book a party of 1 for my night online, so I called.

I was told I could book a party of 2, but that was the minimum purchase they were allowing. I asked if they could refund the second person I wouldn't have with me and they said no - that it was a 2-person minimum.

So - just FYI for any solos thinking about doing this. I'm kinda glad that was the deal, because I wasn't super excited about having to rush to the VIP seating at the early parade from dinner since I plan on attending the second parade.

im not a fan of reserved viewing areas might just be my personal issues but did it once and still managed last minute to have someone get in front of my friend and myself told a cast member about it and they were super nice and helpful but the person also had the reserved viewing area and was dead set on staying where he was, at this time majority of ppl had piled in and with scooter trying to move wasn't much an option lol. since then I've made it a game to find other great locations for firework viewing and I've managed some epic views as opposed to the reserved areas.

this not having any character interactions just isn't worth the cost for our little group we talked about and laughed that for the cost of 2 add ons we could buy 4 desserts (one for each of us) and treat ourselves save some money i guess, and we know some great viewing areas. so I'm honestly sad to say this doesn't sound like its for us, now for people who want a reserved viewing don't care about characters its perfect for them

So I have bitten the bullet and booked, had to make a reservation with 2 ghost infants on it since someone snagged my table for 5 while I was on hold
Thinking since I still feel uneasy rather than relieved to have got a table that maybe it's not worth it for us and may end up cancelling.

I've been thinking about booking all day, but ultimately this doesn't have any real value for us. I want to watch the parade from Frontierland, and my toddler won't make it to the fireworks, so we're going to skip it. I'm looking forward to hearing the reviews though. I think this is much better than the soirée; no taking the villains away from other party guests, but still a few perks for those who want them.

We are a party of 5 (4 adults and 1 child) My motivation is primarily the parade section and we will also enjoy the fireworks viewing area. Honestly? to us $69 a person (39 for children) isn't a big deal at all. I'd pay it just to have the parade space. We would have loved to see the characters like last year, we really thought that was an amazing event, but this will be fine.

In the world shortest booking I cancelled already :rotfl:

Decided it just wasn't worth $216 for us

Honestly get there a half hour early and just get a good viewing area as I'm honestly telling you it wasn't that crowded at all - not a ghost town but certainly not bad.

Can't decide...not too much more for 2 adults and 2 children to book a 2nd party! Decisions, decisions!!

I'm booked for 9/15.. 2 adults now I'm debating if it's cutting into our party time. We are doing a second party on the 18. No dessert party that nite for sure. We love the characters and walk on a few rides. So if I do it I'm thinking this as a plan. On the first night hit the emporium for my party merchandise and then go see Mickey (town square) then hit the viewing area and watch parade and hit the dessert party then hit the stage show maybe a character or two and that'll be it I'm guessing then on Friday just hit characters and a few rides? What do u all think?

If we were doing two parties that would be exactly what we would do. :) I pointed out a moment ago to my husband for the price we could just do a second party instead and then have plenty of time for everything, but he declined that idea in favor of "just" cupcakes for now, unless the reviews are ugly. ;)

69 dollars for me isn't a big deal either if I was getting something worthwhile for it.

Let us know how it is - pass me a cupcake if you see me
