2015 Villain’s Sinister Soiree

I can pretty much 100% be sure that this will be at MVMCP. Cheap and thrown together to make money...again I got everything that this package offers without anywhere near the associated cost for one person

We did the tomorrowland dessert party in 2013 and we had an assigned table then. There was a sign on the table with our family name on it. I don't think it's something new to the upgrades.

Yup, another pointer pointed out the same. My mistake.

In the early reviews I read, the reviewer made it sound like they just checked in and grabbed a table.

In reading some later reviews, it sounds like that changed VERY quickly OR the reviewer just wasn't clear.

And I just saw that post as I'm reading the thread. I was coming back to edit my post when I saw you'd already responded. Sorry about that! :)

Um....IDK what the current "refinements" have done to the "normal" Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party.

It used to be (prior to the July upgrades), that you'd snag a table (no assigned seating), eat your fill, and then move to the rail (standing) to watch the fireworks.

I'm not sure if, since the advent of the upgrades to assigned seating, better quality desserts, table cloth and lantern version, if that's still the case. I haven't seen (but haven't really looked) for reviews on the new version. I'll have to hunt some down, now.

Whatever the process is in the new dessert party, I expect to be the process for this one.
We've done the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party at least once a year since they debuted it, and we have always had an assigned table with a sign indicating our family name.

ETA: Just saw that was amended. :)

so I can make a reservation for 25 guests but it wont take a reservation for 2 guests on the night my daughter and I are going to the party. Amazing

Maybe a new thread for the Dessert party should be created.-?

I know there are people who are disappointed, and don't agree with cost, etc, but some people are happy with this option. Please, don't try to take our pixie dust away...pixiedust:
My 3 year old would prefer no villains, btw. :sad2: Watching a show from the distance, and not having to stand up close with a bad guy works much better for him, so in the end for me too. :)

I reserved it, and plan on making a final decision when I read some reviews-thank you in advance to those who go first and said they will review!!

The ADR system is designed to maximize seating (so if it thinks there is a table for four people, it won't let a party of two book it). Call 407-WDW-DINE and ask them to make the reservation for three or four people, and then they can refund the extras back to you. This is what we did when we originally had the normal Wishes Dessert Party booked.

No matter WHAT Disney does/offers, there will be some who like it, and some who don't. Some who find value in it, and some who don't. And the two POVs will be discussed and advocated, forever and ever after. ;)

Don't let anyone rain on your parade (literally or figuratively). Only YOU can give them that power. Read, disagree, and either comment (if you feel necessary) or ignore and move on. But don't let those with the contrary opinion based on their value calculation or preferences, alone, influence your ability to be excited, or enjoy, something you like/find value in. :)

2 tops are the rarest at the dessert parties that I've attended. I would book for 3 with the third as an infant so you don't get charged, and then call in to cancel the infant.

I tried to book for two on 10/27 and it wouldn't let me, however I could book for three. I just called and the CM did not find anything for two either, and had said that earlier today they were having issues booking for two and it evidently hadn't been fixed yet. She booked me for three and then immediately refunded one. Roundabout way of doing it, but at least it's done!

So for those that have been to wishes dessert party you are saying that I will have a reserved table for the Happy Hallow Wishes Premium Package?

EDIT I just answered my own question

The viewing location for the Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade is outdoor and uncovered and standing room only. Seating is not available for the parade viewing, but wheelchairs and ECV’s can be accommodated. Seating will be available at the dessert party, where it will be pre-assigned.

Thanks for the heads up this morning! Called around 7:30 when I got to work, sat on hold for about 20 minutes but was able to book 2 tickets for 9/18. The CM I got had no idea what was going on, and after telling me there was no availability for either 9/18 or 9/15, I asked her for the 3rd time if she was checking the HalloWishes party... No she wasn't durrrr. She wasn't listening to me and kept talking over me  then she was reading the policies to me, and I forgot what part it was regarding, but she goes "I have no clue what that means, but whatever" Anyways, glad to be booked! I didn't get to experience VSS so this is exciting. We're going to both the 9/15 and 9/18 parties (our first time!), so I chose to do the dessert party on the 18th to hang out and relax, as we'll be trying to do as much as possible on the 15th!

On Disney's website it says:
Seating will be available at the dessert party, where it will be pre-assigned.

But as noted even those at 'good' tables will most likely be getting up to stand to see the projection show and fireworks. Do not count on sitting after you're done eating your desserts.

I can attest to this. We had a 2 top table right at the rails.......well, the first row by the rails. We could have possibly seen from our table but definitely couldn't once the fireworks started. We got up and stood at the rails too, when everyone else did. I, like you, don't want people to book and have that first row thinking they will be able to sit through HalloWishes. The CMs at the party even tell people at the tables that they are welcome to stand up at the rails to see. A LOT of people at the tables were getting ugly and angry at people standing and blocking their view of Wishes. :(
