I searched evening ADR's in Magic Kingdom on my party night and it showed up as an option. It let me start booking it online but crapped out half way through.

Well, at least I know I can save some $$. We're already doing the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party this trip. I think I can only handle so much sweets. Besides, i'm guessing you have to be at the parade viewing area right at 7:30 when it opens up.....we'll likely be in line for a special party character M&G at that time....then after the 8:30 parade they will escort you to the Tomorrowland Terrace for dessert party and HalloWishes fireworks......that's tying me up for a couple party hours in all.

No, you don't have to be in the area at 7:30. Last year people filtered in until right before the parade started, and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Last year, we had friends who did the Soiree. They said they got into the viewing area about 10 min prior to the parade. We'll see if that holds true this year.

The FP+ parade viewing seems to work similarly, right?

No characters. That's a no for me. With HalloWishes starting at 10 this year and the second parade at 11:15 it's going to be even easier to see. Don't want to waste so much time so early during the party. I'd prefer to see the fireworks from Main Street instead of Tomorrowland Terrace anyway.
