``I have a question about ADR with the hoop dee doo show...I am going to use the dining credits for the dinner show but yet, it states i have to pay in full in advance by credit card. I am confused...Why am i paying for this when i am using the dining credits? Do i get a refund?

No. Do not do that. If you have your Disney Experience set up and you have a credit card on file then it should just be making you put a hold for the reservation on the credit card. Double check that. If all else fails you can call them in the morning.

ok thanks! and I do have the disney exp app and CC on file...I have been making other ADR"s but the HDD ressies are different then the others....Just wondering if anyone else experience the same!

We have only done POR before.

Lowering my head and giving a soft answer of no. I haven't stayed at CBR. I stayed at CSR and didn't like it as much as POR.
I guess the answer is in the answer to these questions "How much did you like POR? and are you willing to try a new place?"
Happy deciding. I don't think you can make a bad decision when it comes to Disney resorts. Especially moderate and deluxe.

Tons of Free Dining popped up tonight. I now have two packages booked, obviously need to cancel one. My original plan was at Wilderness Lodge with free dining and tonight I just booked a package at CBR for much much less. I had my heart set on WL, but saving some money would also be nice. Can anyone tell me if they have stayed at and loved CBR? Is the transportation to MK awful from CBR? Thanks!

CBR has opened up for the end of October if anyone is interested. I was able to change mine to a split stay with the free dining portion starting on the 25th. Yay!

THANK YOU for your post! So glad I checked and saw this, we were happy with the Pirate room BUT $400 is $400, switched to Standard. Guess we can use the money for Pirates League if the kids rebel on the decision

I didn't like CSR either. It reminded me of a huge apartment complex. The only good things were the room and the slide.

It's a beautiful resort but I didn't feel like I was at Disney. Not sure why.
To be honest though, I was also not feeling well that week and we had FD so we spent so much time trying to get to our ADRs that we were hardly at the resort. I never even got my bathing suit on to enjoy the pool.
But what we did see was very pretty and the night we walked around there was one area I walked through a group of smokers standing their with beers in their hands. And on the bus there was a young woman that was loud and swinging from the bars. Obviously they were convention people.
So I guess maybe that is why I say it didn't feel Disney.
Both Port Orleans resorts have been my favorite but honestly I've only stayed at POP and the PO resorts besides CSR so I have some exploring to do this next vacation. I would eventually like to stay at Boardwalk or Yacht or Beach club. DH would like to stay at AKL or Wilderness Lodge.
I don't know if I will every be able to "afford" the monorail resorts. Even with my Disney Visa rewards points, I'd be too cheap to use them to afford them and not be able to be ok with taking away vacation time for a second trip in the year. I'm tired I hope that made sense.

We have only done POR before.

Have stayed at POR (twice), CBR and CSR. However, our stay at CBR was in 2013 before the upgrade so can't say how that would factor in.

POR has always been our favorite but the last two times (2012, 2013) we were not able to get it for the dates we wanted with FD. Same this year so we are going back to CBR.

I would say CBR definitely has the better pool but we liked the dining options at POR better. Also really like the landscaping at POR better (seems to be more wooded and secluded feeling). POR also offers the boat ride to downtown Disney which can be a fun thing to try. At the time that we went we really liked the room at POR better but that was mainly because of the Queen beds that also had a little single pull out from underneath one of the beds. With the CBR remodeling and adding the sleep 5 option I think that advantage of POR goes away now. Overall I would say you can't go wrong with CBR or POR and that it probably boils down to personnel preference. As for CSR, we did not like it, as somebody else mentioned it kind of has an apartment feel and with the convention facilities it just did not have the Disney feel.

We stayed at CBR last year and didn't have issues with the transportation. Magic Kingdom was definitely a longer ride. It was very quick to Epcot and DHS. The only time the buses were really crowded or we waited was a the end of the night after parade or shows. Even then they we calling more to come. No issues at all.

Looks like a lot more Free Dining rooms opened up. I was FINALLY able (been trying several times each day to extend my trip by 2 days) to extend my dates at POP for 9/23 to 10/4. Very excited!

I can now release my backup FD reservation at All Star Sports.

Just make sure you did not book level 1 seating. Dining plan can only be used for level 2 and 3.

I just modified my stay for Dec. upgrading from Pop to CBR- for only $200...which means we now get the regular dining. When I first booked the price difference was over $500 or more- b/c there weren't any standard rooms open at any moderate when I booked. Just thought I would share- I first read about it on Black's fb page....and I am so glad we called!

Awesome - I did the same thing, changed from Pop to CBR and it was only $200 more total. I am so happy for us!
