I am in "the business...spots for SB are GREAT (love the Budweiser, glad they pulled the GoDaddy). Our daughter lives in Seattle. Go Seahawks, (she said with not too much enthusiasm.). And I DO believe in Deflategate --sorry NE fellow DVCers and Cruisers!

yes. I noticed that too. There was a decent combination of vehicle types picking up at the port. Do you know if the minivans charge the same fare as the Prius? Right now, we may only need that taxi 1 way from YVR to the Pan Pacific and I'm still not sure how easy it will be to hail a larger vehicle. There didn't seem to be as many for that direction. Were those Aerocar rates US$? I couldn't tell from their website.
I've seen both.... in general it's the same price for a minivan or a prius. However, some drivers say it's an extra $8 for the minivan. For an official answer, go call the local taxi company dispatch to hear what they have to say. I just wait for a larger vehicle at the airport... but I'm not sure how it works with the cruise terminal during peak cruise hours (I left in a rental).

With the Canadian currency collapse... just discount it 25 to 30% to get American.

Yes. Taking the SkyTrain to YVR, getting a rental ($89) and driving to the Bellingham airport... We thought about the Quick Shuttle but with that you have to get off of the bus and take your luggage off as well (so I read). It seems easier in a car. We have until 6:15 for the flight...
Huh? You unload your luggage once at the border... much easier than transferring from Canada Line to a rental car.

BTW.... the Quick shuttle is $30.... cheaper than a car rental. The rental car does allow you to explore the area between the cruise terminal and Bellingham.

But with 3 people, Quick Shuttle is a wash...

Here's another thought....

Why not just get the car from the cruise ship terminal or another car rental downtown? There's an airport surcharge to get a vehicle there.

Thought about that, but it is much more expensive. We may look at the Quick Shuttle. Where does it pick up and what time?

I'm back and then the boards were down, so a bit out of the loop. Did we ever find out for sure if the ship is coming into the port by Pan Pacific? Also, I'd asked...I think...if I would be able to catch the 9am Amtrak bus back to Seattle. If you cary your luggage off, are you able to get a cab (or Uber) and make it to the train station by that time, do you think? How is getting back into the US? a bunch of customs things and is that before you can get on the bus in Vancouver or does all that happen after you get off in Seattle? This whole back and forth to Seattle thing is becomming a bit more than I anticipated.

The Wonder is definitely docking at Canada place. The Ballentine pier has been closed and is no longer in use.

Ok, I'm going to be "that guy"...the new look is nice, I think I will get used to it...now the dumb question...how do I see the threads I'm subscribed to in this new format? I used to just go to the User CP page, but can't find that feature now. Appreciate any help you folks can shoot my way!

If you plan to take the 9am Amtrak bus.... why not get the 9am Quick Shuttle bus from the cruise terminal? Save yourself the cab fare and hassle to the train station.

Yah the YVR departure taxes are high.... but when you factor in the time and transfers... flying direct to/from Vancouver is attractive. I say go to Seattle for either to/from the city for sightseeing, but have one segment from YVR.

Well, I've been away from this board too long. I have a lot of reading to catch up on. I've been busily flying coast-to-coast to run the Dopey Challenge in Orlando and the Star War Rebellion in Anaheim. So, it's time to get back on track with the upcoming cruise. At least we were able to book our flights and now to see what excursions to do.

Going HOME for a quick four day visit on Wednesday....weather and flights willing....we will be getting a couple of things needed for FEs! Then we turn ALL of our Disney attention to the cruise.

I think the Quick Shuttle thing would be good. Does that go all the way to Seattle? Where does it drop you off? I've seen some mention of this in earlier posts, but didn't pay much attention to them since I thought I'd do the train. Do they have a website or is this a transportation thing through Disney or something?

Better.... in addition to Seattle, it also stops at the Airport after picking you up at the Vancouver cruise terminal.

Quick shuttle is independent service like a taxi. They are aware of cruise ship arrival times. Just make a reservation ahead of time for customs and secure your seat.

If you want to spend a few days in Vancouver first, Quick Shuttle also serves the Vancouver hotels. Look at the schedule for details.

They are faster than the train and you don't need to pay for a taxi transfer at the Vancouver train/bus station.

I'm trying to get an idea of the routes. I know Quick Shuttle picks up at the Canada place cruise terminal on select days and transports passengers to SeaTac.
There are other stops as well. Unfortunately the website does not yet include the schedule for June. Will post whatever information I find.

OK I found the Quick Shuttle Schedule. Scroll down and you'll see the Summer Schedule from last year. (hopefully this will be similar in 2015)
http://www.quickcoach.com/map.htm. looks like it stops at both Bellingham and SeaTac airports as well as downtown Seattle. So the question is: is this a single bus route on any given day? or multiple busses with varying routes?
