2014 royal rumble

If Hogan has a match, it will probably be some sort of tag match because chances are he won't pass the physical for a singles match. Piper definitely wants a match with Hogan but I'm not sure if his deal is finalized like Hogan is.

I love Daniel Bryan and I think a match between him and Undertaker would be amazing.

I agree about Nash, as much as I love him I just don't think he's in the condition to come back for a real match at this point.

I've also heard rumors about Steve Austin returning for WM but somehow WWE is always able to keep his comebacks a secret so if it happens no one will know about it until his music hits most likely.

Piper said he'd love to team up with Punk and face Hogan and Cena in a Wrestlemania tag team match. I don't think that'll happen, since Cena will likely have a huge starring role at WM.

I also really wish Daniel Bryan had remained a Wyatt. I would've done something like this:

Bryan keeps failing at things he does, because people (the Authority) keeps getting in his way. So, Bryan loses all hope and becomes a Wyatt. Bray promises to give him everything he wants, yada yada.

Royal Rumble time, and all of the Wyatts are in the Rumble match. The final two are Bray and Bryan. Epic showdown time! BUT there's a twist! Bray and Bryan meet in the center of the ring and Bryan gets on his knees to accept his elimination. Bray begins talking to him, telling Bryan, "I told you I'd give you everything you've ever wanted!" Bray then eliminates himself, which gives Bryan a championship match at WM.

What this does is set up a Wyatts vs Authority storyline, and it's revealed later on that Kane has been a Wyatt this whole time, helping destroy the Authority from within.

I really hope they don't team Hogan up with Cena. Cena deserves a better match at WM30.

I am so glad Daniel Bryan didn't stay a Wyatt. The fans will never accept him as a heel so it doesn't work. I think Bray and Daniel will fight again at Elimination Chamber, Daniel will defeat Bray, ending the feud, and then Undertaker will come out and start the feud between them for WM.

Yeah, heard those rumors too. He has been mentioned a time or two on RAW and we thought it was going to happen. Wonder how his knees are doing.

What do ya'll think about the return of the New Age Outlaws? Loovvveee them. Like hearing them on the mike and in the ring, just wondering how long they will stick around. DS had some shows in FL awhile back and has had a match with each of them. He says they are really fun in the locker room, keep something going all the time.

The return of RVD sure seemed to flop.

I would see see Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestle again. That would be great match. Oh Did know better ask somebody

Stone Cold said in an interview that he could handle one match, he'd just need time to prepare.

I love the New Age Outlaws, they've always been one of my favorite tag teams and I'm glad they've made their way back to the WWE. Was very happy about their win last night. I doubt they'll be around too long but I definitely hope they stick around for WM.

Wow I go to sleep and work and my thread has exploded with replies. Awesome to see so many wrestling fans out there.

I am probably going to get yelled at for this but I can not stand Daniel Bryan- I just find him sooo boring and tend to flip channels when his matches are on- and Total Diva hasn't made me like him any more. He is just blah.

Love love love love the new age outlaws and soooo excited that they are back- they were my favs growing up.
And as good as it was to see Kevin Nash I think he needs to stick with stripping he looked kind of awkward in the ring.

I was wondering what they would be doing to bring the undertaker back for wrestle mania so was good to read all the theories.

I would love to see Roman Reigns get a huge push and a title- that man is damn fine and a top performer in the ring.

I'm so jealous of you all getting the wwe channel. We are just excited over here to get raw live starting next week. We usually see it a day later than you.

LOL Dd feels the same way you do about Daniel Bryan--just blah. Her and ds have had many conversations about how he is an awesome wrestler. And he tells her all the technical parts of it and how he does this or that. Doesn't impress her at all. :rotfl: She is John Cena, all the way.

I think Roman needs big push too. And I like Seth Rollins, he is pretty good. Roman is that big power guy that needs to be in good matches with some of the other big guys.

It was announced last night that Jake the Snake Roberts is being inducted into the hall of fame. Hope this means he will be involved in Wrestlemania in some capacity(other than the HOF recognition part of course).

My fellow WWE fans, what do ya'll think about the latest on CM Punk?

I hope it gets worked out but it really doesn't look like a work or a setting up a future story line although, you never know. He left right before RAW on Monday night and its all over the web. DD says he hasn't tweeted anything except a thank you for the support. AJ hasn't tweeted anything about it either.

If it's true and not just storyline, I say good riddance to be honest. Yes CM Punk is good and fairly entertaining, but ultimately I don't see it as that big of a loss. From what I've heard after his last push he got a big head and start acting exactly like the superstars he used to bad mouth. I also call BS on his reason. The schedule isn't any different now than it was before and I just can't imagine it all of a sudden being too much for him.

I think he wants to leave because he's not on top right now and won't be for the foreseeable future. The fact of the matter is not everyone can be on top all the time and if he can't handle it. I also think the people in the back were probably getting sick of his ego so he decided to leave before they decided to end his career like the last ego maniac that had a problem with the way Vince does business(*cough* Bret Hart *cough*).

I also think it's completely unprofessional to walk out not just hours before a live show but only weeks before the biggest show of the year. He had a match planned for WM and not only that but the entire storyline leading to it will have to be reworked. And he not only walked out on the company, he walked out on his fans which makes him no better than the "part timers" he has such a problem with.

I hope this is just an elaborate storyline because if not I've lost a lot of respect for him.

It's seeming more and more real.
I'm personally not a fan, find him very childish.
It will lead to some interesting storyline changes that's for sure.

I don't know, I have a bit of a different take on it.

CM Punk is one of the most talented technical wrestlers they have (not saying the only one just one of them). I mean, I love John Cena and his persona but he isn't the best wrestler. CM Punk is as good as Randy Savage was and that's saying a lot. Plus he is the best "talker" they have. Add to that he is one of the few (Daniel Bryan being another one) that gets a reaction from the whole crowd. Even as a heel, he was loved by the crowd. And gets over even bigger as a face.

He was mad about Batista and I see his point. The crowd wasn't happy about it either. Daniel Bryan deserves the main event. Actually so does CM Punk. The past two years they pulled in Rock. First year was fine, but the second year was a flop, imo. And now they have pulled in Batista.

TMZ says its because of his own desire for a title shot, other reports from folks in the wrestling business says its because he thinks Daniel deserved a shot. Don't know which one is true, maybe its both. But I know that he has stood up for other wrestlers before when he thought they were being treated badly. This isn't the first time he has stated his unhappiness with the way WWE is being run.

Punk and Cena have been doing both RAW and Smackdown. Its obvious that Vince (or Triple H) saw some reason to pull them over to Smackdown do make a bigger draw there. He used Punk for that but doesn't seem to see the value in this man.

CM Punk should be on top. Right there with Cena and Daniel. But instead they push Batista. Who may or may not be around awhile. Or they push Brock Lesnar who isn't going to be around long because he can't. He has health issues that causes him to have to be out and makes him too easy to get hurt. And besides has said that he has no interest in being full time. Or they push Rock who isn't going to stay either. Giving the Rock the belt, was imo, bad writing. Who thought he was going to stay for any length of time? I mean really, did anyone not think he was going to lose the belt to Cena?

I think Punk has a point about the part time guys. And lets don't forget the come back of RVD-a huge flop. These guys come in and get main events at the PPV (which give big paychecks) but aren't in the trenches working matches in the weekly shows, the live shows, and all the other appearances. I mean they do show up at RAW, but not the many other shows that the regular guys are contracted to do and many times they show up just to talk, do a run in or something like that. RVD actually did have matches, just didn't get over well after his initial return.

I think what they are going to find is that Punk doesn't need them. He hasn't gone nuts spending money and needing his contract. Do they need him? I don't know.

I like watching Punk. I enjoy every match he is in and hate to see him go. And if he started in MMA (another rumor/possibility), I may just have to watch. But, I realize that WWE will live on without him.

I have to agree with him about one thing, the writing has not been up to par week after week. We see too many of the same matches again and again and again. I have no idea who is really in charge, some say Vince, some say it is Triple H. Whichever it is, the other one needs to step in and get a new creative team.

Its funny. I would have thought that the WWE would be so much different than the indy promotions that DS has been a part of. Its not. The guys get frustrated with the writing, the way the matches are booked, the pay, getting or not getting the pushes, who is in or not in the main event. They just get to argue about bigger pay. :rotfl:

Whether or not I agree with his reasons is pretty much irrelevant to me. He walked out on his contract which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable to me. He agreed to do a job for a certain amount of time and then because he didn't like the fact that the company wasn't running things the way he thought they should he left just hours before a show.

Say what you want about bad writing and booking, but that doesn't mean the people behind the scenes deserve to have to completely rework things right before a show. Everything that I read says they were still figuring out how things were going to go when Raw went on the air. And not only is that unfair to the people behind the scenes but the fans as well. They paid to see a great show and now they get to see one that was thrown together in a matter of hours.

And the fact that he is so over with the fans just makes this worse in my opinion. You don't just turn your back on the fans which is exactly what he is doing.

I'll be honest, CM Punk has never really been one of my favorites so I could take him or leave him(just can't like a guy that spent one of his longer storylines talking about how much he hated the WWE universe) but I understand that most people disagree with me.

And if this ends up being real(I honestly am still on the fence about it) I think he'll fall into one of two categories. One: he'll come crawling back in a few years and be no better than the part timers he hates so much or two: he'll stay bitter for decades and eventually he'll need money and come crawling back but still badmouth the company to anyone that will listen.

I an with you on this. I think there are plenty of other guys that can complain about their storyline- wade Barrett for one.
And they clearly had a story lined up for cm punk with Kane otherwise they wouldn't have had him attack cm punk at the royal rumble.

I did however read a story this morning that says it's all a storyline to give punk and chance to rest and recuperate and that after wrestle mania he will back in title shot contention against Batista and that is why wwe is making it seem like cm punk hates Batista and the way wwe us being run.

I think it's definitely possible that this is all a storyline, I'm still on the fence. I just know that the only match that was basically guaranteed for WM involved Punk which is the main reason why I'm still leaning towards this being real.

Guess we will have to just wait and see will be interesting to see everyone's reaction if this us a storyline.
I find it hilarious that wwe has stopped following cm punk on twitter. How very high schoolish.

I don't disagree with you. But in his defense, he was heel. The job of the heel is to get the crowd angry with him. That's just part of it. They all do it or at least the ones that get over as heel do.

It may not be real at all. Vince is smart enough to pull this off and Punk is the best one to use to pull it off. Punk is still listed to be at Axxess at Wrestelmania for a VIP ticket. And this could be the build up to his match with Triple H.

And I get what you are saying about the people behind the scenes having to scramble. But in reality it was as good a RAW as any lately. Big Show and Kane were not their either, which I was curious about Show not being there more than Punk at the time. But still, his walking out was not fair to the writers.

I guess seeing so much of the struggle behind the scenes, I see it from his pov. These guy put their bodies and health on the line every show. Part of any of them complaining about the writing or the booking is that fact they do care about the fans. They want the best show with the best story lines. And they want the appreciation and the recognition for what they do.

This being a part of a story line makes a lot of sense, but I would rather see it as Punk vs Triple H, not Punk/Batista. But then I love seeing Triple H in the ring with anybody. If I had to pick my absolute favorite, he would be it.

If you noticed, while he was in the Rumble for quite a bit of time, he didn't do a lot. Don't know if he has injuries, but he seems to take better care of his body than a lot of them do. And it was reported that he had asked for some time off from the house shows. So, maybe he is trying to heal up. Who knows??

And while he isn't listed on any of the shows tickets are on sale for, he is still listed as a VIP session at Axxess for WM. Those tickets go on sale Saturday for the general public, but are already on sale with a code. So I guess we will see what they do with that.

I know! I thought the same thing! :rotfl: But, again, they have a huge fan base on Twitter so it would fall right in the story line.

But he was fine with the storylines when he was on top. They've been bringing in part timers for years now and it's always been a business where who you know is more important than what you know. If this is real I think it all boils down to him being mad about his own position in the company. He doesn't care about what Batista's doing or what Daniel Bryan's doing, he cares about what he's not doing.

If this is a storyline I honestly think we may be looking at one of the best storylines they've had in years. I can't imagine them let all this bad publicity happen if they didn't have something big up their sleeves.

And believe me I have the utmost respect for what these people put themselves through, but that doesn't excuse Punk's actions if they are in fact for real.

I agree if it is a story line it is one of the best EVER!

We were just talking at my house about how great the story lines were back in the attitude era and during the Monday night wars. It would be great if they were getting back to that kind of stuff.

Its nice to talk to people that have that respect for what they do :goodvibes.

DD gets frustrated when she starts talking about it and someone makes fun of her because "its all fake". And she tries to explain, that yeah it is scripted but its also real in the fact of them getting hurt and in their abilities. She has seen the broken ribs, cut open cheek, hurt arms, stitches in the head, etc that her brother has come home with and the training he went through and knows that these guys do all that on a much bigger scale!
