I agree if it is a story line it is one of the best EVER!

We were just talking at my house about how great the story lines were back in the attitude era and during the Monday night wars. It would be great if they were getting back to that kind of stuff.

Its nice to talk to people that have that respect for what they do .

DD gets frustrated when she starts talking about it and someone makes fun of her because "its all fake". And she tries to explain, that yeah it is scripted but its also real in the fact of them getting hurt and in their abilities. She has seen the broken ribs, cut open cheek, hurt arms, stitches in the head, etc that her brother has come home with and the training he went through and knows that these guys do all that on a much bigger scale!

I completely agree about the Attitude Era, that's one of the reasons I'm so excited about the WWE network because of the ability to see all the old stuff. I didn't actually start watching until towards the end of that time and while I've seen quite a bit of ppvs from that time, I haven't seen the majority of the Raw and Smackdown episodes from that time. Although I did find a youtube channel that has all the Raws and Smackdowns from 2003 and is now working through 2004 and I watch one whenever I get the chance.

I have reached the point where I don't talk about pro wrestling unless someone else brings it up. It's like people think that wrestling fans are idiots because they always insist on pointing out the obvious. When people would saw wrestling was fake, I would always suggest they try taking a chair shot or have somebody body slam you before trying to call it fake. Fake and scripted are two very different things. And it's an insult to their talent to suggest that what those people do isn't real. It was even worse back when I was in middle school and high school. I had posters of wrestlers in my locker and this guy started going around school telling people I had porn hanging up in my locker.

That's exactly what ds has told a few people--take a chair shot or even a chop!

He went to a crawfish boil one time and one of the guys knew him from his wrestling shows. They wanted him and his brother to do some moves and see if his brother (who is quite a bit bigger than him) could get out of the holds and such. DS easily got ODS down in a hold. and he could easily slip out of anything ods tried to do. Even ODS was surprised at how much could really be done with "fake wrestling".

And what gets me the most is it's perfectly acceptable for people to watch a romantic comedy or a horror movie and be entertained even though those are basically entirely fake(not that that's a bad thing just using it to make my point) and yet pro wrestling fans are made fun of for enjoying something just because the outcomes are scripted. I think it takes a lot more talent to be a professional wrestler than it does to be just a regular actor, but that doesn't mean I that I think people are stupid for liking movies. I just wish the same courtesy could be extended in return.

But speaking of porn I did a school project on billy gunn one time- let my tell you when you google bad *** billy gunn a whole lot of weird stuff comes up lol.

I never really talk to people about wrestling either. Totally sick of everyone saying its fake- my favourite quote when I was younger was I don't believe wrestling is fake it's the rest of the world that is fake.

As I tell everyone now what's not to love- hot guys wearing not many clothes, with soapy story lines and lots of action.

Yep, I love reality shows and no matter what the name says, they're certainly fake lol. But I don't watch them because I think they're real, I enjoy the drama. The same applies to wrestling.

The longer it goes on the more I think it's a work. The fact that it's just before the launch of the network and WM30 it's too much of a coincidence not to be. I think part of it may be that they need some sort of cover right now. They're probably trying to make this WM huge, they need it to be to get the sales for the network, and they want it to be as much of a surprise as possible. I think they may have created this controversy so people stop paying attention to WM plans and focus all their attention on this. It wouldn't surprise me if this continues on until WM and CM Punk makes his comeback there. Before this everything I heard said they were planning on a big push for Punk over the summer and it was supposed to start at WM. Maybe they realized Batista as a face doesn't work so they could be planning a heel turn for him to work with CM Punk since he's so over with the fans right now.

If its a work, they may want to think about having him come back in March in Chicago. Those fans are all about CM Punk!

It does play in to the whole thing that Punk had been saying in his story line about there being a conspiracy going on. But then its hard to tell when Punk is following his story line and when he is really trying to get a message across.

If they really did put people out, I don't see how we didn't see empty seats because they were chanting from the time Orton walked to the ring until Daniel Bryan's match. I even noticed a sign: "My Other CM Punk Sign Was Confiscated"

If all that is true, then they are treating him like Chris Beniot and that's just wrong too. But, I must say, that either way, they have me watching close just to see what's going to happen!!

This wouldn't be the first time Vince has pulled off a big work and fooled everybody.

If Punk ends the streak I won't be happy. I know it has to end eventually, but I don't think he deserves it. Also his schtick seems to be making fun of/disrespecting his opponent which is not something I'd ever want Taker involved with. That's not his style.

If WWE has him turn face by turning his back on the Shield, they can build him up as a strong, silent hero. Then, Taker can come back and be like "blah blah, I like this kid and feel he deserves his time at WM."

Reigns accepts, they shake hands and it's Taker's final match (let's be real, he's getting old and isn't in the best of shape).

This would cement Reigns' status as a possible next big thing, it would cement his awesomeness and would propel him toward a championship.

I think it would be fitting and their WM matches were some of the best I've ever seen(plus the match where he ended Ric Flair's career was pretty great as well). Yes it's been done before but the WWE has done match repeats before and they worked(Stone Cold and the Rock comes to mind, as much as I dislike the Rock their matches were good because they worked well together). HBK and Taker are both the type to give their all and I think that's what his last match needs.

Failing that, I think Kane would be the best choice. They've got all that history between them. And I know it's cliche, but it should be a buried alive match. I think it would work very well. No it wouldn't be the most technical match, but with those two it wouldn't need to be.

If someone is going to be the next big thing with WWE then maybe they have earned it. And ending Taker's streak would be a huge push for them. Most of the older guys have someone they want to get that push so I bet Taker could easily choose someone.
