Looks like 2014 rates came out this morning. Packages can be booked and the online WDW resort request tool is showing 2014 rates and avIlability for the Fort.

I'm gonna dig out my ressie number tonight that I made over the phone to see if I can get an AAA discount applied.

Bama Ed, Thanks for the heads up about the rates. I will check my rate when I get home for our March trip also. I'm sure it will be about the same maybe a few dollars more or less. It's still the best way to stay at WDW cost wise.
Thanks, FSU ED:thumbsup2

I just tried to reserve for last week of November thru Dec 13 and the CM told me I was 4 days too early!

I checked those rates out this morning @ 6:30 am. I just came to after passing out from the shock..... ;) Guess the new Fantasyland rehab went over budget.

I just called to see if I could get AAA the end of october - couldn't.

I'm not suprised. Disney has failed to get it all out at the same time in years past. Sometimes it was the full year rack rates but not the packages. Sometimes it was the rack rates and packages but not the online tool. So if MommaLuvsDis says 4 more days, so be it. I had checked dates that crossed from September into October 2014 and got pricing and availability.

I noted with interest that the Preferred rack rates for the last week in March 2014 are only $2 less per night than a Premium. Not much of a difference, is it?

I looked at the rates a little bit more today and it made me feel this way:

It also looks like they really stuck it to the Tent/Partial campers in next years rates in the form of the weekend upcharge. I noted in my April trip report how the Tent/Partial sites filled up over the weekend while the Premiums sat slightly more than half filled. I was in a Preferred which was nearly full in its loops during my whole stay.

Here's an example using this fall's rates for Tent/Partial. Note these are 2013 rack rates with taxes rounded off. The weekend upcharge is about $6 for a Friday and Saturday night stay.

Here are the same time period same type of site for 2014. Note the weekend upcharge is now $12 per weekend night.

In the spring (mid-Feb to end of May) not counting Easter period the Tent/Partial upcharge is $13. All the other types of loops got an increase in their weekend upcharge but not to the degree that the Tent/Partials did.

Christmas in a Premium with tax rack rate is $149. :santa:

PS - Helmet tap to poster angelmom27 for giving up the headsup of the 2014 rates coming today about 7-10 days ago.

I just spoke to a CM about a AAA rate for our trip in Jan 2014. He said that it will be a few months before the AAA rates for next year come out as AAA doesn't even have discounts through the end of the year yet.

:rotfl: We need to get our CM's together.

I was just told the Cabins have an AAA discount for my week in March 2014 but nothing is showing for campsites yet. I can't afford a cabin (as wonderful as they are!)

I called this afternoon and had a AAA discount applied to our reservation for our campground stay in February, 2014......20% off

What kind of site are you in? We have a tent/partial. Would that make a difference?

Edit: Never mind. I read another thread by you that answered that.

Last time I called to add the AAA to our site the CM told me FW doesn't have that discount. :confused3

I tied to educate him, but, he wasn't having it. Keep calling.

I called Disney two different times yesterday and spoke with two different CM's regarding applying a AAA discount to our existing reservation.

The first one I spoke with gave me an answer very quickly (no discount available for our preferred site but discounts could be had for Full Hookup and Premium sites for our camping stay timeframe).

When I called back a few hours later the CM took several minutes to find the discount information and then had to put me hold for another few minutes before she gave me an answer. And amazingly the answer was the same as what I had received from the first phone call....although not really offered to me in the same manner. She just said we would have to upgrade to a premium site to get the discount......didn't say that Full Hookup was an option also.

After I agreed to upgrade to the Premium site and in the process of changing the reservation she said she saw I had requested a certain loop (preferred site) on my original reservation and then said, "so we can leave that as is".
I thought that was weird.....why would I want to keep my request the same (for a preferred site) when I was upgrading to a Premium site?
Anyway, I asked her to change the site loop request.

Amazingly the discounted price quote I got from the CM's for the Premium site was the same on both phone calls.

Over the weekend I booked two more camping trips for the famliy next year. Was able to get long July 4th weekend. In on July 2nd thru July 7th. Also got October 29th thru November 3rd. Tried for December but showed no spots open yet. :cool1:

I just booked Preferred site for Aug 20-30, 2014 and got AAA discount. Rep didn't think there were any discounts for campsites, but she checked anyway and she was surprised to find AAA. Don't take no for answer unless they actually try and book with one.

Good for you and golfknut on getting those discounts. I think I'll have to try again and not take "no" for answer.

I had previously looked for rates for May 2014 and nearly passed out from the sticker shock.

I've now recovered enough to wade into those waters once more, but I keep getting that nothing is available. I've even tried September.

Any ideas what's going on? We're not ready to book yet, but will be soon.

Thanks

I tried week long reservations on the ressie tool and got availability in all four types for both May and September. Dunno why you are seeing what your seeing.
