DD14 told me about these bracelets from mylokai. They have water from mt Everest and soil from the Dead Sea. I Tried ordering them this morning and my order was declined, i'm not sure why, it wasn't the card. Anyway, i sent them an email.

My stepdaughter, 13, loves the show Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family. I just found a boxed set of the books, 1-4, on Amazon for $16.94. Perfect for her & I can use my CG's earned from Swagbucks.

Now to find a similar set for DD, 12. She's not into the show, but loves to read. She has read the Maze Runner series, and now is loving some of the YA romances by Sarah Dessen and Susane Colasanti.

I just asked DD if she still liked 1D and she was luke warm. She said she likes 5SOS better, but the problem with that is the concert for them in our area (which is still an hour and a half away from me, is on Labor Day, which is also the night before school starts. Who the heck scheduled that? So ridiculous.

I think I'll skip 1D and hold out for Taylor Swift. I wish she'd hurry up and announce her tour schedule. Those would make a great Cmas gift. DD is also a big dancer, so I'm thinking of taking her to see Chicago which is here in March and to the Nutcracker in December.

Taylor announced tour dates this morning! Hope one will work for you! My twins turn 13 on 5/22 and she will be in Baton Rouge that night. I think we will be road tripping! We were able to see her on their birthday in 2013 and they still talk about it being the best birthday.

I'm not sure if you have a books a million but they often have PLL books on their buy two get one free deal.

Maybe the clique series for your younger daughter? Similar vein as PLL but without the murder/mystery. I read them in middle school and really liked them!

Do you know how the Pretty Little Liar books relate to the series? Like, is it repeat plots and story lines that have already been on the show, or are they "extra" or "new" side stories with the characters?

Per my DD16 tv and books different with the first set of books being the best and after book 7 they get slow and she lost interest but loved the first 6

My DD13 is reading the Tiger's Curse series for the second time and wants them for a gift. I don't know if that's the official name of the series, there's Tiger's Curse, Tiger's Voyage, something like that- 4 books.

So I had the idea of Taylor Swift concert tickets. The girls have never been to a concert and she would probably be their first choice. Well, she doesn't come to Des Moines until 10/8/15. Wondering if that would be a bit of a let-down for it to be so far off. Their birthdays are August/September so they could be birthday gifts instead. The tickets go on sale 11/14. Is this something I need to be buying right away, or can we decide in the spring or summer to buy them? Not sure how fast she sells out.

Taylor Swift Tickets are not something you can wait on. They will most likely be sold out in minutes. So if you want these you will need to be online right when they go on sale. Even then you may not get them...

I have seen many friends posting on facebook that they will be trying to get tickets for Des Moines, and given that Wells Fargo isn't a very big arena, I think it will sell out fast. Even if it does, you should be able to get tickets on Stubhub if you really want to go to that show. If you are open to a road trip, she has two shows each in St Paul, Kansas City and Omaha. Could make for a fun weekend!

Thank you. I can't remember when the codes came for the Red tour but it would make sense that they don't release them too early. I think I signed up last minute before the Red tour and I know I got one.

Here's the conundrum.. I was online and purchasing tickets the second they came out for her Red tour. It was slooooowwww loading because so many people were on the site. I ended up with "meh" seats but dd still had a great time. However 2 or 3 days later they released the first few rows. I guess it was an attempt to trick the scalpers. I understand the need to do that, but it was a bummer to see such great seats for the same price I paid a few days earlier.

It almost makes me want to wait and keep checking this time in case she does it again, but that's a little risky for me and I don't want to miss out or be glued to the computer.

What an absolutely frustrating experience that was. I never did get the presale code emailed to me despite being signed up since the Red tour. I was able to get it from a friend of my SIL this morning though. I was online and ready to go right at the exact second they went on sale. My wait time was less than a minute and I was offered two seats 12 rows back from the stage in section A4!! As I went to pay.. the server crashed and kicked me out.

When I went back in the wait time said over 15 minutes. I ended up waiting about 25.
I was able to get section B6 about halfway back, so right up against the second stage pretty much but nowhere near as good as the tickets I had. I can't believe a site like ticketmaster isn't prepared to handle the traffic of an event like this. They make such a big freaking deal out of presale and being there at the exact second, they charge an arm and a leg, and they can't support the traffic for the business they are drumming up. So frustrating.

Thanks for listening to my rant. The good news is DD17 won't have any idea how good the seats I had but lost were, and she'll be thrilled and surprised with the ones I managed to get. So I'm just going to "Shake it Off" now.

I couldn't agree with you more about the frustration. I was online too with a presale code and also the American Express code, it spun and spun then timed out. Phone lines busy too but I finally came across an automated line and got tix that way. Seats are ok but not as good as I hoped for.
Oh well, at least I got tix
