2014 Christmas Gift idea list for TEEN GIRLS

Stick to your budget. Honestly I have made that mistake in years past and end up returning things after Christmas that were impulse buys...I usually get one big impulse buy (for her it is the WII U) and then the big gift she wanted was a 400 guitar!. I then try to farm out accessories to family members to buy for her! I did of course get more things for her but I am guilty of wanting a full tree with only one child else looks bear. But we go to both sets of grandparents so I need to rationalize this to myself and not worry what the tree looks like. Guilty too!

Yeah the Beats were my impulse buy on Black Friday but I did end up getting the farm but I got it for her little sister. They have spent the last few days rebuilding older lego sets that my oldest DD owns. I think my youngest has gotten the lego bug too. I had considered getting her the RV camper from Target for her American girl dolls but the price is 70.00 so the legos are a bargain

That is it though! LOL- Its going to be a MineCraft Themed Christmas at our house.

I keep telling myself to be done, but then I find more ideas. Last night DD13 said she would also like Beauty and the Beast themed items. I went on Hot Topic and am debating the dress with the black top and stained glass skirt. She would LOVE it. There is also a stained glass BATB purse that is a good price.

Then I went on Etsy and found the cutest hairbows in Disney and Marvel inspired designs. She would love the Loki, Iron Man, Ariel, and Anna hair bows.

Ugh, I will probably get them, these would be WOW gifts to her. I checked with my mom but she has already bought something.

I bought a dress on Amazon for her that I'm not sure about now that I have seen it in person. I could return it to save money and get these other items, or I could keep it just in case it's fabulous on her...decisions decisions!

When they were little and we were broke, I did Santa and then one gift from us- they got SO much from DH's side (at the time they were the only grandkids too). Now that they are older I buy more and more every year it seems!

LOL we don't do Easter gifts and their birthdays aren't until August/September.

In addition, I have bought them clothes from Gap and Modcloth on Black Friday sales that they looked at and approved, so I guess those aren't Christmas presents, just more expense Good deals though

NOW I see that Guardians of the Galaxy is available for preorder on Amazon at $9.99. I figure no one else is getting it for them since it isn't currently out. But I don't know if I want to buy $25 more to get free shipping. Another dilemma. Could buy DH a present- haven't done him yet but not sure what to get.

Me too I always seem to overbuy stocking stuffers - I could fill 2 sometimes with the amount of stuff I buy. But I get it all at such good deals! So I just pick some to fill her stocking with, then save the rest for her Easter basket.

This year I bought her a stocking that is 50% longer than a regular one, but I did a test run and I still have too much

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy at home spa type products for a teen. She is 16 and loves to paint nails, do facials, and other smell good bath type stuff. She said she wanted anything like that but I do not really know what a good brand is that has some variety and fun for a teen.

Try your drugstore they have at X-mas times different bath sets, or sets of multiple nail polishes in one box. Even Walmart has a bunch of bathsets to pick from and lip glosses.

If you can't find a set buy a basket and fill it with various different spa items. Don't forget to look at the travel bins at Target they have different sample size lotions, face scrubs, good smelling hand sanitizers, shampoo's, small bottles of nail polish remover, ect.

I do this every year! Just when I think I am done I start returning b/c I find something I like better! The latest casualities are a stuffed icon from Adventure TIme (cute but she doesn't NEED another stuffed animal), I didn't order an etsy tshirt I had meant to b/c seller was slow to respond and I returned 15.00 drawing pencils that were color b/c she really only does use Black.
THEN ulta sent me a 20.00 free giftcard b/c they wre out of stock on black Friday on coniditoner so I used this to apply to makeup I already got her at the store and they refunded my CC 20.00

So decent little savings? What do I buy? Wi U! Well that and Dh found a Lord of the Rings Ring on Etsy he thinks she will love. So in reality I feel as though I traded some "ok" gifts for a pretty big wow gift and nice surprise!
