2014 Candlelight Processional Reservation

If someone has a regular dining reservation for a specific time which falls during the Candlelight Dinner Package times, can the "regular" dining reservation be converted to the Dining Package?

Thanks!:)

No. You will have to cancel the reservation and re-book the CP package. We canot convert it. We can, however, modify it over the phone.

When you are paying OOP, do you pay this at time of reservation or when you are at the restaurant?

At the restaurant. When you make the reservation you need a cc number just like all other ADRs though.

Was hoping that the narrators would all be set before the release date for dining package reservations!:confused3

Nope. All narrators haven't been finalized. They weren't all released prior to booking release dates last year, either.

Darn I don't know what to do... The night we go to see the CP depends on the narrator :/

I was one of the "lucky ones" who was able to snag a reservation during the glitch. I have duplicate reservations for 2 nights, though one is the processional and one is just a dinner reservation, but also at the Coral Reef. I think I'm going to try for a CP package for that night as well and then cancel one (or both) when I find out who the narrator is. I have seen the CP a few times (and it's well worth it) but I will have my 2 small granddaughters with me and won't put them through a long night unless I get Neil Patrick Harris. I saw him last time, but my DIL wants to see him. We sent pictures of the marquee as we were going in and she was going, "Oh, I am soooo envious!" She was not with us on our last Disney trip as she was very pregnant.
As it is I may have to leave if the little ones start whining or acting up while the processional is going on (I'm not too worried about the 4 year old because she loves music) but I will be able to hear it from the back at least if the 22 month old is getting tired.
In fact, I will be arriving on the 28th and leaving on the 5th and none of my dates are set yet.

Does anyone know if it is dark for the 6:45pm show? We are thinking Dec 22 or 24.

I know for the 6:45 show you need to eat between 3:30-4:15.

Does Disney have separate dining times for the Candlelight restaurants? Or do they give you times as if you were picking times for a regular dining reservation?

This is exactly why I finally decided to just say forget it. I know people really enjoy the CP but I hate having things up in the air and I just wanted our dining to be set. If the stand by lines aren't bad when we go I will just wait in the line.

Last year we didn't even decide to go until the end of August and there was a lot of availability still.

The first time we went we went to the 6:45 show and it was a bit light for me. It is still beautiful though. I just prefer the later show because the colors are so beautiful at night.

It is as if you were making a reservation to dine. My original reside at the Coral Reef was for 5:30, and the CP package time I got was for 5:20

Edit to add: we have had a few different narrators in the past and all were enjoyable. I wish Jodi Benson would work out for us because I would love to see/hear her. We just want N.. P. Harris because my DIL is such a huge fan.

We went to the 6:45 show last time we went. Sunset is around 5:30 pm. I thought it was plenty dark by the time the show began.

No, and that probably has more to do with the actor's schedules.

Last year I booked for 12/4 (Ashley Judd) on the date packages were released, actually the day of the glitch. At that time 12/2-12/3 was still TBA.

When it was announced that NPH was 12/2-12/3, I made a package reservation for that night.

NPH wasn't announced until August 5 last year, even though booking started on July 9.

For 5:00 Show...Lunch between 1:45 and 2:45

For 6:45 Show...Dinner between 3:30 and 4:30

For 8:15 Show.. Dinner meals between 5 and 6

Excited to book!:thumbsup2

Would imagine that for younger children, the 8:15 Show is too late...

I believe NPH was announced late last year, due to any possible scheduling conflicts with "Hedwig"--- I am pretty sure he will be an announcer this year as well--- he did not extend in "hedwig", and he is usually in WDW during the holidays with his family- I had asked him back in March if he was going to be a reader this year, and I got the sense that he would be--- said he loves it!

Do they have shows on Dec 24,25,26,27 as it does not show narrators or " to be announced"?

Hopefully, tomorrow booking for CP will be released!:thumbsup2

I will check on line today after 7, but I doubt it..:confused3

Really looking forward to it!:cheer2:

My dates are open. If you search by date you can't click on it. But if you enter "candlelight processional" in the search box in the upper right corner, everything opens up for that day (assuming you put the date and time in).

This is the same way it was for the glitch for me last week so I don't know if it's officially open, but it's there and it's bookable and the one I booked last week shows up in my reservation details as a CP package:confused3
