This will be our first time at BC (DD choice for her grad trip). Is there a place where the relatives that live in FL can come to visit? There will be about 10 of us total and I would like to do a grad party for DD with them, since they can't make it to her actual graduation. I would also like to get a cake, should I try Boardwalk Bakery???

I have gotten cakes at both the Boardwalk Bakery and Yacht & Beach Club Private dining. Both cakes were excellent. The only difference for me was that the Y&B delivered the cake to our villa and we had to pick up the cake from the BW Bakery. Either way was fine since you are only a quick walk away from the Bakery. Y&B includes utensils, plates, and a knife whereas we didn't get these items from BW Bakery.

Thanks for the info...I wondered how I could get a knife thru airport security! Did you call the Y&B directly? Was it a plain cake or decorated?

Is Cocoa Beach where I want to go for the day? The goal is to show my girls the ocean and swim in it and find sea shells.

I'm putting a vote in for the west coast. We got married on the beach in Clearwater and it's really beautiful. Much nicer sand and water than the east coast IMO. For seashells the best place is Sanibel island, but that's about a 3 hour drive.

St Pete is nice, we've driven over there many times. Takes about 90 minutes. I totally agree, the gulf side is where you want to be, much nicer beaches and beautiful clear water!

#1 thing I learned on my March trip, don't try to change your fastpasses the day of. It would say a certain ride was available at a certain time but by the time it got to the last screen it wouldn't be close to the time it said originally. And by then I would have already lost the first FP time I had.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Beach Club! We just got back from a girls weekend and I absolutely fell in love with this resort! I loved Stormalong bay, I loved the walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, I loved waking up early and going for a run around the boardwalk!
I am SO excited that I will be back this October with my family! 10 days at Beach Club Villas 10/8-10/17

DD (8) and myself are taking our second Mother/Daughter trip 9/27 - 10/5. We have stayed at Poly and BLT prior. This year I booked BLT but there were no types of discount available. I would have paid the price grudingly but asked DD where she would like to stay. She looked at every resort and kept saying no. Until I pulled up the BC. Immediately she said, "I love it. This is the place for me."... I was stunned. But I booked it with the RO discount.

Someone help me ease my worries on staying off the monorail. And any suggestions to maximze the enjoyment of the BC would be greatly appreciated.

Also, could we get added to the BOG list?

Just popping in to see what's new for our annual Memorial Day Weekend BC trip and wanted to thank all you folk who post info on here and make our trip a little more fun! Got to meet Teena last time and DD was excited to pin trade with her as she reads the posts with me ("Mommy, that's the lady from the computer!"). We will be Stormalong side May 24-29 and WE CAN'T WAIT!

we are booked at Beach Club for 1026/14 to 10/29/14, DH and myself, no children or grandchildren this trip. We are DVC members but no availability when we booked, (waited to long), so we are on cash reservations. Looking forward to trying Beach Club Resort. Lot of information on this thread - thanks .

What is your home resort? We are DVC with WLV as our home. BCV is hard to get into. We are considering buying a smaller contract at BCV since our kids are getting a but older (11 and 8).

How late does the MDE run from Orlando airport?

I'm fairly certain it runs as long as the airport is open, but you will have to get your own luggage after 10pm.

So sad! Was booked at BC 10/31-11/4 but TA couldn't get free dining so re-booked us at boardwalk inn. I was really looking forward to BC especially SAB! Crossing fingers it will open up & we can come!!

I couldn't talk DH into going back and I didn't want to go back with kids with him so I just booked a quick in Sept for me and my Mom! I've never been to F&W so I'm quite excited!!
