:welcome:

So glad you are checking out the Yacht Club. I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

:cool1:

Just a quick question..are there regular coffee makers in the room? DH loves his Starbucks and I was going to bring a pound of coffee with me so he could make his own. (and I make my own tea)

Thanks for the nice welcome and help

I'll change your listing to the Fantasy. Sounds like a great cruise! Have you been to the islands you will be visiting or are they new to you?

:)

This is the first time my family has cruised together, and it's the first time to any of the ports for me. We'll be going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Falmouth, Jamaica, and Castaway Cay.

I cruised on the Big Red Boat years ago on a Bahamas itinerary, but it was only a 3 day cruise. I loved it, and couldn't wait to convince my family to try a cruise.

It was a hard choice between the cruise and the Beach Club!

Thanks for the heads up! Think it took everyone by surprise! For those of you who haven't purchased tickets you need yet, I believe Undercover Tourist will continue to sell their supply at the previous prices until they run out. We have used them in the past and were totally satisfied with the service.

Mousesavers sent out an email saying that Undercover Tourist is able to offer a limited supply of tickets at the old price, but they will only be available through the link that you can find in a Mousesavers email. The Undercover Tourist rates for the public have already gone up.

Mousesavers asks that we do not post the link here on the Dis. I think there's a thread over on the Budget board where people post if they need the link and someone emails it to them.

When Disney is about to raise ticket prices, I usually hear about it at least a day ahead, either through an email newsletter or on Twitter. This time they took a lot of people by surprise. Word didn't leak out until Saturday night when I was already off the computer for the evening.

I, too, have used Undercover Tourist several times and have been happy with them.

Coffee is one of my favorite subjects!!! :coffee:

Here is the info about coffee at the Yacht & Beach Clubs from the "Other Useful Info" post on Page 1 (Post 14)

What kind of coffeemakers are in the resort rooms?

As of October 2011, the drip coffee makers in the BC and YC resort rooms were replaced.

The regular resort rooms and club level rooms (including Deluxe Rooms) now have the Cuisinart Double Pod Machines:

Thanks for the photos Rorey, Cinderumbrella and MickeyT!

Here is what I believe are in the rooms currently. Anyone who has been there more recently, please correct this info if it is wrong:

All regular (non-club level) rooms: Cuisinart Pods

All standard club level rooms, all views (standard meaning non-suite), including Deluxe Club Level Rooms: Cuisinart Pods

Suites (1 BR, 2 BR, VP, Presidential Suites): Keurig K-cup

Beach Club Villas- Mr. Coffee-type makers (4 cup for studio, 10 cup for 1BR, 2BR)

I think this applies to both BC and YC- again, let me know if I am wrong!

I don't "do" Nescrape! Is there anyplace at the resort where I can get a REAL cup of coffee???

From guests in August 2013:
Grounds-breaking News: The coffee pods in the rooms and the coffee sold in the Marketplace is now Joffrey's coffee!!!

REAL COFFEE ALERT!!!

Ale and Compass is located just off the Yacht Club Lobby.

In the morning, breakfast items are available like a DECENT cup of coffee and tea, pastries, an assortment of cereal and fruit. This location also serves as a refill station for your refillable mug until 11 or noon.

Hi! So the other day I asked about what detergent the resort uses. I found out that I just need to call the resort an ask for hypoallergenic sheets and they will also do a VIP clean. That way I will not suffer due to my allergies. I hope this helps anyone else.

:badpc::badpc: ugh!! Could make my August ADRs Friday. So tried Friday night for an hour, no luck. Stupid MDE!! Then tried again Saturday morning, again no luck :( so had to phone dining line. At the end CM couldn't get them to show up on MDE :faint: and transferred me to tec support. Finally got them on MDE!!

But then went into Stupid MDE various times, on My Plans to fill in rest of planning so my friend who's going too can see planning ( she's on my ADRs) and sometimes she's there on the My Family & Friends link, sometimes not :rolleyes2
Ugh!! And sometimes my reservations are there, sometimes not grrrr!!

Stupid MDE!!!! it is unbelievably glitchy, and wastes a whole lot of time trying to get it to work!!

I feel your pain Scott!!!

I've decided the Beach Club is the place to stay for our honeymoon and my then husbands first trip!!!! Will be there December 6-11!!!

Ninja Mom: OH MY WORD! My friends would die laughing over your list...BECAUSE I am such a commando and other things on that list and hey rip on me all the time about it...Even after we get home!!!!.I was laughing sooo hard....my kids too.....CRAZY FUNNY AND TRUE!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

OK... serious question now. We are staying yc cl sv....We requested close to SAB/Lobby....If they can accomodate that request, how far will be away from

1. The club level lounge

2. Elevator.

Also, are there rooms directly over the lobby on the 5th floor...I have looked at some different pictures and it looks like they have very large rounded balconies...Anyone familiar with the layout of the 5th?

I realized after 2 tries on the web page that I would have to call :rolleyes2 to get my ADR's at my 180 day mark. The link to the BOG fast pass was also quite the treat to try, over and over again, with no luck. I was quite the pit bull hitting that BOG FP site repeatedly until they FINALLY opened up for lunch reservations. My Dad was over tonight for dinner and I was trying to explain to him just how weird and difficult it was to get FAST PASSES for a MEAL at the most popular restaurant in MK that will not take ADR's for LUNCH. ....AND this was spread out over 3 separate reservations that had to have a time that overlapped so we could all eat together.

After listening to me for 2 seconds my Dad's eyes glazed over and he started to fall asleep. It was then that I realized that nobody knows what the H E double hockey sticks I'm talking about nor do they care. Getting those BOG FP's was like, like, like.... oh heck it was REALLY hard! .... And only you guys would appreciate that.

If you see reports of a woman assaulting family members with one of those RFID roses it will probably be me. That will happen when half of the family fails to show up for this lunch and the other half is complaining that they don't have burgers there. I'd throw my Braised Pork at them but it's too much of a waste of a good meal.

My revenge will be when I see the stragglers in my family standing in line for 2 hours to get a meet and greet with moley Snow White or some other "I'm Over it" Princess. Revenge is a dish best served while those that didn't listen are standing in a LONG line!

Mwa ha ha!

This one is for Dee!

Here is the list of the types of people you go to Disney with:

The Food Pornographer: This person whips out their camera the moment the plate hits the table while simultaneously yelling at you NOT to TOUCH IT!!! Under their watchful eye your food is photographed repeatedly, from every conceivable angle and in the most unappetizing of ways. An hour later when they have finally finished 'getting the shot' your food is ice cold and moldy and you are extremely intoxicated from that seventh or eighth Lapu Lapu you downed while you were waiting for them to finish.

~A subset of the The Food Pornographer: is the "almost all eaten" Food Pornographer: This aspiring food pornographer is earnest in their attempts at wanting to photograph dishes but they never seem to be able to quite get it together in time to remember to photograph the food while it is still all there. Their food pictures frequently resemble homicide scenes and copies of their work are posted on car rental web sites to remind patrons not to drink and drive.
