I KNOW I care more than my kids do!! :rotfl: Yay for you, getting to go back before next summer! We had booked at the WL for our upcoming visit in early Sept. but due to finances, we have moved to Disney Springs. I'm sure we will feel like fish out of water, but booking meals at the GF and spending time there for the music might make up for it a little. We are also doing a tea for the first time ever! I'm excited about that because I love tea shops.
We are doing tea today so let me know if any q's.

Have to say the new DS has lots of new things so not a bad place to be, enjoy!

So excited! We decided to change our 7 night Sept YC club level stay. Now doing 3 nights in a king deluxe room Sept 10 - 13, then YC water view club level Sept 13 - 17. I just couldn't pass up the RPC. Celebrating our 38th anniversary. I actually booked this several weeks ago, but I was focused on our DS's wedding. The wedding was this past Saturday, so now I can concentrate on our vacation!!
What a wonderful way to celebrate your 38th and your DS's marriage:bride::groom:. Our RPC stays seem to overlap a couple of nights:). Have you stayed at WDW during the same timeframe before?

We love the low Labour Day crowds. This August I had to push up my date because I have to be back at work 8/29

It's great to read about low September crowds. Like you, we've had to go during school breaks. Now that DD is starting college, I was able to book my "dream" September trip. Maybe I'll be the only one there:rotfl2:

So a good start to our gf stay. Since we are not CL I thought I'd get some wine . At the shop I mentioned I didn't have a cork screw so a gentleman cm gave me one . Then the woman cm asked me if I had a wine glass in my room. When I said no, she opened a cupboard and gave me a crystal wine glass and insisted on wrapping up. It was complimentary too! (I asked how much when she offered)

So when I got to my room and saw my wine and my nice glass I did feel special :)

Thanks Grand !!!

What a nice story. Another great example of Disney/GF going above and beyond.

View from sago 3rd floor ending in 29.

Love this view!

Views around Sago.

I just love marina views - lovely!

I have been lucky enough to have stayed at almost all the resorts and many cl's too. To compare gf with others here are some thoughts.

Gf is great because ALL rooms have the makeup mirror , robes and good toiletries.

I was so delighted to find they do turndown too!! For newbies, they take your trash, replenish clean cups ,glasses and toiletries. They take and replace your towels.

They also pull the drapes, put on lights, rearrange the pillows and leave chocolates .

I also enjoyed they did turndown in the early evening. Often cl's do it at 4:30pm while I'm in the room.

Can't say how much I enjoy this after coming back at night :)

Tomorrow is tea room!! More pix when I can .

Enjoy your tea today with DD and congratulations on her finishing her last course. Does she graduate next year? Is she wearing Teeny Bikini? :rotfl:

(It's a great blue Esse nail polish color she had on once that I had to know the name of so I could buy it:))

Are you "dressing up" for tea? I bet some folks do and some go casual. We never take dressy clothes, so may have to be dressy casual, if need be. Are you thinking the tea will take the place of a meal?

All of these awesome pictures being posted have me over-the-top excited for our upcoming trip! Thanks so much to those who have posted! I was especially glad to see the current toiletries. Almost time to start packing and I was wondering what I needed to bring in that regard. And trishadono, we loved trying Once Upon a Vine Big Bad Red at the Polynesian last year and will definitely be getting some for our room at the GF this year too. And I have since purchased it at my local grocery store and think happy Disney thoughts when I have it here at home!

Yes she remembers that incident and laughs when we see that color every time.

Thanks! She really enjoyed meeting other Disney lovin professionals . (She usually one of youngest) .

Yes we love to dress up. This time it's easy cause sago is so close we can change back into shorts right after.

We do eat as a meal. I never come close to finishing!!!

Hi all! We are 16 days away from our Grand vacation and I'm trying to find a copy of the August activity calendar. Has anyone found one yet or is anyone able to post one??? Thanks so much! We just can't wait to be there!

Thank you! Awesome pictures. I am getting really excited now!
You are welcome!!

Did you people know they have Pineapple cider on tap at the pool bar???? Dd21 is in heaven.
(Tastes like a light pineapple champagne)

Resting in bed and I can see palm trees , marina and the poly from this comfy spot!

I need to get night pix so hopefully tonight,

Seems like seems like we travel at the same resorts often :)

Found in the room !image.jpegimage.jpeg

I really want to try the gone Mad party tonight! Thanks to SueM for the heads up!!

Want to add that I tipped the maid in person early. Have gotten lots and lots of shampoo and foot creams etc!

Also for 1st timers. These baskets left outside your room are for you if you need something before your room gets done or if you don't want room done. image.jpeg

Ha! This is what I thought was such a great alternative to all the carts clogging up hallways -- love it!
Gosh, I don't know which place I miss more -- Poly LV or GF! I think we'll just keep alternating between the 2, with the occasional BC mixed in.
Thanks for posting all the wonderful pics and for checking in during your trip!
