I do hope you have time to stop in and enjoy Narcoossee's!!! And Tonga Toast at Kona's Café!

Tom
We are doing Ohanas for breakfast since my girls adore Stitch, but we can do Kona too!

I will be there at this time in three weeks... I'm excited I can only imagine your excitement right now!!!
GF for Christmas!!! That is Grand!!!!

We returned Saturday from 8 nights/9 days at the GF. It was wonderful. My DH says it's not really his style, so we will try his choice for our next trip. We had a Lagoon View room in Boca Chica with a mostly unobstructed view of the castle! Watching Wishes from the balcony was amazing!

My 5 year old had been so excited all week about watching the Santa Clause at the beach last Thursday. We came back from an early dinner tonight to find out they had to cancel due to the wind. She burst into tears at the front desk. 20 minutes later, the front desk employee shows up with the movie and a DVD player. I wish I had gotten his name, because I would love to let Guest Relations know that he made her night. He was a tall, skinny guy with dark hair. His name started with an R, but that's all I can remember. If anyone knows who it might be, I would love to know.

Transportation on Saturday was a nightmare. We had to be on ME at 12:20, so had planned to go to MK for just a couple of hours. The monorail was down and it took almost an hour to get from the GF to the MK. Our bus drive kept making stops we weren't told he was going to make. We ended up getting off at the Contemporary and walking. We beat the bus there.

We found that a few employees in Gasparilla's could use a serious attitude adjustment, but thankfully it was just a few. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and we can't wait to go back again!

Glad you had a great trip. What's with Gasparilla's lately? So many bad reports :-(

Does anyone know the policy for having guests in the room? During our stay in RPC, our grandson will be in WDW for a couple of days while his sister is involved with a dance competition at ESPN. If we ask permission, will we be able to bring him back to our room for breaks?
If he is under 18 you should be fine. If he is over 18 technically it costs an extra $25 a day to have an extra adult in the room. However, if you just ask the cm at the desk most likely they will say it's fine. Many have reported that CM'S ok having one or two extra family visitors.

Enjoy that time with your grandson.

Thank you trishadono! He's 14. We check in on a Tuesday and he won't be there until Thursday. I'll definitely ask at check-in. I just thought that on our MK day, it would be nice to come back to the room for a break for a while.

5 days until we head back to WDW :santa: I can't believe it!!!!!!!!! I also can't believe we will be back at the Grand! Dare I say it......I am excited!

Pas - So glad you're going back and I hope you have a GRAND stay!!

My sons first CL trip he was 14. He loaded a plate with the potato chips and chocolate chip cookies!!! Make sure he tries the goodies in the lounge!

Thank you  I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful the IPO and the CL management are!! And I feel like sharing my experience will help prevent some negative RPC experiences in the future. I unfortunately am not the only one who had a less than stellar stay, however YOU and disneytam and all our Grand friends will have an excellent stay!

So exciting!!! The kids are really excited too! My one daughter (my 9 year old) still is whining that we aren't staying at BWI but I think she will turn around when we get there. She was the one talking the GF's GM's ear off when we went in 2011, she's very outspoken...if she doesn't like something they will hear it.

Hello fellow GF fans...Its been a while...the holidays..and our recent trip have interfered a bit with my DIS time...lol..

Wanted to give our friend pas a proper send off....Its almost time!!! :dance3:....Safe travels...enjoy every GRAND moment!! :goodvibes

Trish Your trip details just get better and better...What a fab 21st for your DD! And you too...:goodvibes :thumbsup2

uagirl Thanks for the review! :thumbsup2

Although this is really not the "right" thread for this...being a GF Gal..I feel like this is my home here on the DIS..and I wanted to say a few things about our recent trip...BWI was wonderful....festive...and we really enjoyed everything about the holiday festivities at both DHS and Epcot....

Icing on the Disney cake was that we got to spend lots of fun time with Dispro and her super nice DH..and I also ran into Ninja mom..who is not just hilarious on these boards but in person as well! ::yes:::laughing:

~Candelight Processional...so moving! Really a great way to start off the holiday season....

~Osborne Family Lights...:rainbow:..also just beautiful....Sorry to see them go...the viewing areas were sooo crowded...but we just took our time and enjoyed the ambiance of the music and the lights....

Did some resort hopping to see the holiday sights...and the is still no resort and beautifully decorated at the GF...it truly is even more spectacular at Christmas!

To all who have booked upcoming trip....Congrats!! :thumbsup2 and happy planning!

Hope that every one is having a wonderful Wednesday...:earsgirl: GF gal who is chasing away the post trip blues by happily planning our next one!

Welcome home  Saturday is the day!!! Working tonight and tomorrow night and then Friday is packing and pedicure day :) I bought some Disney shirts at Target (one was $2.99) for the girls and I forgot myself of course. I can't hardly wait!! I snagged a breakfast at Garden Grill ;) on our Merry & Bright party day that I said I wouldn't book LOL. My first Candlelight Processional will be in 2016 when I go see my DS14 sing with the HS chorus. You plan the next trip, it is really the only proven cure to PDD Post-Disney-Depression. I will try to post on here from my phone. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan the next one? Your ticker shows you are going to arrive 3 days after we do at the Grand!!! That means the next one is planned. Do people really book more than one trip a year? I can't think of anyone doing that.....except all of us, lol. Apparently my lovely cohort all crime for F&W has already booked our hotel stay for 2016 F&W!!!

Tom

There is only so much space you can have for tickers I told her!

I give it a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I felt a little naughty booking our second trip for 2016. To make that second trip even more of a rash thought, the impulse came when we realised that Soarin' would be down for our May trip. So, how do I get my DM to see her favourite attraction? Simple. Book a second GF trip! So, I did. And, to top it off, it will be a Festive Season trip. Really, I feel naughty all over... Now I just need the second ticker!
