Ok....so a super newbie question regarding room requests. I have only ever stayed at AKL and BC. And there was never any choices for room requests, or place to input. Is that different with GF? I see everyone talking about requesting rooms and I'm unsure how/when to go about that. With BC...we get Garden view and at AKL we got pool view. We've never been anywhere with outer buildings before. Are there any suggestions for us? We are an Outer Building Garden View. We don't mind being further away from the main lobby and prefer to be away from elevators. We like quiet and our children are also quiet. We are tossing around the idea of upgrading to a deluxe room just to have the extra space. Is there anything that really makes it worth the extra $100 or more a night?
Do any of the rooms in our category have a bathtub that will fit a tall adult? I always feel uncomfortable in my bathtub at home, but look forward to maybe having a bubble bath on vaca. BC and AKL only had standard tubs.
Thank you for any help!
I don't know a lot about the outer buildings but I would call reservations and add you room request just as you described it. "Quiet location, away from elevators." You may want to add. no connecting door... as that seems to add a lot of noise to a room. The resort is very compact, none of the rooms are very far away from anything.
The turret deluxe outer building rooms just offer more space. The turret area is furnished with a sofa/daybed, chair and additional TV. If they are like the turret rooms in the main building or Sugarloaf some do not have balconies. Someone else may be able to comment on that. Honestly, I think for $100 per night I would choose CL. In Sugarloaf you can request the turret rooms and even if you did not receive it the value of the food service for a family is often "worth it".
As for the tubs, the only garden tubs that I know of are in the deluxe rooms in the main building (some queen deluxe and some king deluxe that are a bookable category) and some of the suites. We have stayed in one of the turret deluxe rooms in Sugarloaf and had a small tub.
