Yes, if you just want to have one while at the park, they have them for rent, on a first-come, first-served basis at the gift shop at the International Gateway.

When an off-site scooter rental was late in being delivered to us a few years ago, we had no problem renting one at EPCOT's International Gateway, where both scooters and wheelchairs are available.

If you will be park-hopping, keep this in mind:

Thanks for posting this link. I have info about wheelchair rentals and other tips on Page 1, Post 14 (Other Useful Info), but I did not have the WDW post.

I read over the info and was reminded about this:

A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available to guests staying at WDW resorts. A refundable $315 deposit is required.

I don't know what types of wheelchairs are available or what the rules about taking them to the parks are, but it is worth checking in to if you are traveling to Disney with limited mobility.

:thumbsup2

Will do!!! Sorry about that. I know you mentioned it.
I had asked the question regarding when BCV rooms became available to the guests and it was suggested to check frequently beginning in February. I was out on the room ressie site on Saturday morning and the 2bdrm villa popped up so I grabbed it. I was kind of surprised to see them release those rooms already this far out for non-vacation club members but I'm not going to complain. Looking forward to showing a newbie the wonders of the magic, especially at Christmas time.

Hi Dee! You busy lady. My name is Rebecca and I am a BC & Disney addict and proud of it. I think we have met :)

Very excited, I am going to officially request to be added to the Be Our Guest List, although our days may change by a day or two. I have a big birthday beginning of May and we will be taking our sons and the GF of DS19 to Disney to celebrate. The boys have not been to Disney for several years and are excited. We will be staying at BC in a Deluxe room May 16 - 21. We just looked at a deluxe room in December to refresh our memory for the size as we have not stayed in that room category since 2005. We totally think with the extra square footage we can make this room category work for us especially with the capability of access to the new beautiful lounge. :goodvibes

Rebecca

Sounds like an awesome trip. What a great way to celebrate a milestone!

A couple more pic's of our group. I love these people!

Such nice pictures. Thanks for sharing your princess breakfast with us. :goodvibes

My bud MickeyT took time out of his trip last week to fulfill one of my requests...

Here is the bounceback for the coming year.

Please remember, you must book your bounceback WHILE you are at the resort. There is usually a one night stay deposit.

The Yacht Club, lobby smells nice, it just has a different scent. I'm not sure what it is.

Since I spend way too much time hanging out in the value resorts I have come develop my own means to envelop myself in delicious, high end scents.

I have carefully crafted a velcro cowgirl holster in which I have loaded 2 jumbo, value sized bottles of Febreeze. I regularly run through the lobby of P(L)op Century , liberally dousing everything nailed down with buckets of Febreeze.

I think of this as a service to my fellow "Ploppers" who know not the lusciousness that is the lobby in the Beach Club.

Haha! Thanks for the laugh:)

I need to update our dates in the BOG list. We've decided to do a split stay. We will be starting at the poly and the BC 8/31-9/5. Still very excited !

At one time the club lounge was open 24 hours for coffee and soft drinks and light snacks. I am thinking that this is no longer the case.

Can anyone who has stayed at the Beach Club or Yacht Club concierge level confirm?

Thanks!

We were at the YC club level last weekend. The lounge was definately open when we got back at around midnight Saturday night. I know there were softdrinks in the fridge. But I'm sorry I didn't notice about coffee & snacks.

Mariamouse...I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the YC after such a tough start. Can't wait to see pics.

Enjoy that pool time.

Thanks to the Spring discount we will be staying BC CL for two nights before our first cruise on the Dream. Very excited to go back to BC. The refurb rooms are so pretty!

Staying at Yacht Club in Feb.

What is the best way to have water/soda shipped? I have Amazon prime and Costco membership if it helps. I know it is a convention resort and the resort charges a fee. What fees does the resort charge? Is the Hess station at the Boardwalk close enough to walk? Anyone have any experience with Garden Grocer or WeeGoShop?

Thanks in advance!

There was plenty of shampoos and conditioners as well as soap and body cream. I wouldn't bother with any of them.

I'm picky, so I wanted specific details...

Let me see if I have a picture from my August trip.

ETA: I have a picture, not great but here it is

You can request more from housekeeping if you need it.

:goodvibes:

Details! Thanks!! :)

Glad you are enjoying the resort. Hope you stop by and say hi Sunday or Monday at the BC!!

Hi Teena - I'll be checking into the YC on Saturday. Do you know what your schedule is like for the following week?!

(Amusingly, one of my high school best friends - and, to be fair, I had a different one nearly every year! - now works at the MK, so I think I'll get to see her briefly, too. I haven't seen HER since sometime during our years at UMass.)

I AM SO EXCITED I JUST CANNOT.

Disney World means SO much to me. I can't even articulate it, but today I realized it was like a sense of going home. So, maybe when we pay off the mortgage, I might need to convince my husband to invest in the DVC? Haha.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like an awesome split-stay.

I think a case of Dasani water 24 pack (12 oz bottles) is about $16.00 at the BC Marketplace. Soda (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite) is $8 for a 6 pack. Not the most economical way to get the drinks, but certainly the most convenient.

You may want to consider getting a delivery from Turner Drug. See below.

Hess is "walking distance" and posters have suggested bringing a rolling suitcase to transport cases of water/soda.

Garden Grocer/WeGoShop have either minimum orders and/or delivery fees, but if you are getting other things, this might be the way to go.

***************************************************************************

Here is what I have about water delivery on Page 1 (FAQ Post 13).

What is the Best Way to Get a Case of Water (or other items) for Your Room?

The Yacht & Beach Club is a Convention resort so items that are shipped their by UPS or FedEx will be delivered to the convention mailing center and will be subject to a charge based on the weight of the item.

Because of this, it is often better to send items directly to resort via United States Postal Service (see instructions in the Other Useful Info Post)

I'm still working on this, so if anyone has suggestions or recent info about the prices of a case of water from the following sources, please let me know.

What are the options for getting a case of water or other items to your room, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each method???

Beach Club Marketplace (no delivery fee),
Dasani 24 pack, $16- as of Sept 2013
Soda, 6 pack (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite), $8

Hess Gas Station near BW resort (no delivery fee, but must walk or drive there)- walk through the BW parking lot and it's just across the street from the entrance gate for BW. It is a bit of a hike, so if you decide to walk over there for water or other beverages, we suggest you take an empty rolling suitcase to make the transportation easier

Walmart/Target- must drive there, or take cab

$7.50 delivery fee to the Beach or Yacht Club
Pricing as of August 2013:
soda (coke, diet coke, pepsi, diet pepsi, mt. dew & sprite) 12 pack, 12 oz cans are $4.99 each.

water: Nestle, 1/2 liter bottles, 32 bottles (case) $7.99 or 6 pack $2.49 or Crystal Geyser, 1/2 litter bottles 24 bottles (case) $6.99 or 6 pk $2.19.

Online orders from Staples/Amazon/Walmart- I think these are delivered to the convention center and therefore subject to weight-based fee and must be picked up.

Trying to update the info on Turner Drug delivery. If you have used them to deliver medicine or other items, how did it work?

I believe delivery is $7.50 to Disney resort hotels. Are orders are delivered to bell services or front desk?. Do you need to be there to sign? Any other comments about this service?

Thanks!

I'll be working Sunday and Monday (they are my days unless Jeanne and Lily are here or I'm out there with them or I'm on a cruise which I try to do at least 3 times a year). I just scheduled February 7th on the Disney Fantasy with Bob and then Jeanne and I are on the Fantasy on March 28th.

I have heard RECENT reports that this case of 12oz Dasani is now going for $6 at POFQ, CSR, and the Poly!!! Hopefully, this is the same at all resorts because that would make things soooo much easier! If anyone is near Marketplace, can you check it out and let us know? :flower3:

Hi Teena,

We are planning to stop by and see you this Sunday. We are really looking forward to catching up with the latest news. :goodvibes

They sell 12 packs of water in the YC gift shop, too, which would be more convenient for a YC guest to shop at. I don't remember what the price was except that it was the same price as the water at the Marketplace.

We used them this past August. They were great! The delivery fee was $7.50 and I could not use my insurance, we had to pay in advance and get reimbursed when we arrived home. As far as delivery, we were staying Club Level and the prescription with all the receipts appeared in our room when we arrived home from the parks. Also, the medication and fee were all charged to my resort account. I think it arrived at the front desk, was charged to my room, and brought up to Club level. Not sure how helpful this is!
