Glad she's doing well - doesn't matter how old your baby gets, she'll always be your baby. :goodvibes

Excited for you!!! But you need to know that all standard view rooms will be either a roof or a parking lot. If it is more "decent" than that it is not classified as standard view. I don't want you to get your hopes up and then be disappointed.

I don't know why this quote keeps coming up! I thought I responded to it a few days ago! I don't mind parking lot or a roof, I just don't want the dumpster view I've been hearing about.

I have updated the Be Our Guest list. Please take a moment to look it over to make sure your information is listed correctly.

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

I am listed as Aug 26. I must have typoed (as usual!) as I only switch over from a Value (not sure which yet) on the 27th.

Teena I'm new hear, but I'm glad the surgery went well and hopefully your daughter will recover quickly.

i will be at the villas jan 31 (babies' first trip)- feb 8 and nov 5- nov 9 (wine and dine half marathon!)!

Despite only sleeping for 15 minutes in between nurses, blood work and her constant itching from morphine, she was made to get up at 3am to walk and now has had breakfast and is up walking around pretty good. Its o long shot, but they said if she keeps going like she is, she might be able to go home tonight.

Awesome! Getting up to walk is so important for recovery. (I learned a lot after my Dad's surgery.) Glad to know she is doing so well.

Forgive me if this is answered in the OP as I could not find it. Does BC/YC share busses with any other resorts? And if so, does anyone know the order and number of stops? I'm specifically wondering about transportation to and from MK. Thanks so much!!

The YC/BC usually do not share buses with any other resort, except the DTD bus and the Magical Express. The order of pickup is always YC first, then BC, then to the park.

The bus to MK takes about 15 minutes to get there from the BC.

The DTD bus shares with all five Epcot resorts and Typhoon Lagoon. The bus to AK stops at Blizzard Beach first. There aren't any buses to DHS or Epcot unless the boats aren't running, like when they are stopped due to lightening in the area.

Great - thanks so much!!!

I hope things continue to improve for her and that you are nursing her back to health as soon as can be.

Soooooo.............

This is officially my 1,000th post! I made sure that I saved this momentous occasion (:)) for the wonderful people on this thread. I can't tell you how appreciative I am to all of you for all of the enjoyment I have had jumping on here, reading your posts and hearing about not only your WDW experiences but all of your life experiences as well. It has really added some flavor and joy to a lot of otherwise boring days.

So I am dedicating my 1,000th post to all of you amazing people!!

My sincere thanks and gratitude to you all and my wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season for all of us!!!

A random question... What time does the International Gateway entrance open? If we have a pre-opening ADR at 8am, can we get in that way even if the park doesn't open until 9am?

Ahhhhhhh ... our own beds are wonderful and no nurses to wake us up to see if we need anything, etc.

We both slept 12 hours and she is doing really good this morning.

Dr. said walking at WDW in January is just what the he ordered. Best way to build strength to tackle the 2nd graders again.

We both appreciate our concerns and well wishes. Have a wonderful holiday everybody!!!!!!!!!

Great news. Mom makes the best nurse to help speed recovery.

Congratulations Jake on your 1,000 post and thank you for your kind words. Since things are a little slow in your neck of the woods I will fill you in with what is happening in mine.

The holiday season is upon us and for us Mothers that means a ton of work to make the house look like Christmas threw up in it. There has been much untangling of Christmas lights, erecting of trees and hanging the stockings over the shower curtain rod with care. There is a frozen lump of ice in the refrigerator that resembles a turkey breast and if it doesn't defrost soon we are going to be having turkey popsicles for dinner on Christmas eve.

This is the year I finally caved in and bought a pre-spiral sliced ham for Christmas day dinner. No one in my house will volunteer to help with carving one that isn't pre-sliced. They just lay around the table like baby birds with their beaks open while I do all the work. After performing surgery on yesterday's NON spiral sliced turkey I just don't have the energy to wrestle with a ham! In year's past I have just tossed the whole thing into their midst and watch them fight over it like uncaged animals. The strong survive in my house so the winner usually runs back to their room with the ham and locks the door.

The baking of cookies will be happening soon. I don't bake because everyone enjoys Christmas cookies. I bake so that I can use the cookies as behavioral modification tools. Phrases like "Clean up your room and I'll give you 4 chocolate chip cookies" are frequently heard around the Ninja Mom house. In fact Christmas time is the only time we can see the color of the carpet in some of the children's rooms.

Many people are also busy with Christmas shopping during this time of year but I have greatly simplified this task by issuing I.O.U.'s on post it notes. Unlike gift cards that can easily be redeemed, these I.O.U. are not accepted at very many locations and, as a bonus, are easily lost. :thumbsup2 In fact I have yet to have one successfully redeemed!

Christmas usually means that the relatives are coming over but after I gave everyone puppies for Christmas no one dares venture into my home to pay a call. Every time a family member starts to think about trying another visit I mention that I saw online that with every elephant purchase you get a free giant shovel and isn't that a great bargain?

So there you have it, Ninja Mom's tips for surviving the holidays. Most people drink heavily during this time of year but I don't. I have to save all the liquor so I can spike everyone else's drinks so they remain passed out on the sofa and leave me ALONE!

I want to say once again how thankful I am for this great group of friends we have here!!! When one of us is going through a difficult time, support is given both on and offline. We are friendly and fun but we have each other's backs if anyone crosses the line.

not all of the rooms at the resort have the space for the addition of daybed, but some do, and I think they will be adding daybeds to some of the rooms if they can.

I am not sure how many or where.

...well after doing some searching so I wouldn't have to keep being a pest;), I found some older posts that gave some great info. Looks like as far as CL goes:

CL GV has 9 rooms, 1 with daybed
CL LV has 26 rooms, 7 with daybeds

Now that was the info BEFORE this current refurb. So if they were indeed able to add some daybeds, those stats will change:cheer2:. Keeping fingers and toes totally crossed. We really, really, really want either a LV or GV but we don't have much luck getting a daybed with the old stats above...

So everyone "in the know" and those that stay in the new rooms, please keep us updated! Thanks!
