2013 Disney TR

You are making me want to be in the World Showcase or in the Epcot resort area! I just love that area. I'm interested to hear about dinner because I don't think I've ever heard one thing about it!

Whatever Disney resort I'm at seems to be my favorite in that moment - because they are all so beautiful and impressive in their own ways!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Every time I go to a new resort, even if I'm just walking through it, it becomes my new favorite! They are all so special!

We had brownies, blondies, cheesecake, popcorn w/white chocolate, cotton candy, Micjey rice crispy treat, nitro frozen candy bars rolled in different toppings and ice cream floats with different alcohol flavors. It was amazing.

For our party next year we are doing a reception meal for the first hour and desserts for the second hour. We don't have a menu yet. I just had my first planning call last week. I can't wait to see what they come up with!!

Totally agree that I have NO IDEA what the designers were thinking in regards to the "dolphin" statues. So bizarre. Perhaps it's supposed to be ironic or something. :confused3

I guess since the Swolphin isn't owned by Disney, they would be just regular employees probably?

Aww, how sweet of your cousin to do that.

That bread looks awesome! You take some great pictures!!!

I really like the way you describe things too.

And as for the "dolphins", from someone who grew up on the coast, trust me when I tell you there is a fish called a dolphin fish and that is what the statues represents, not the kind of dolphins that are mammals. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal. It was very nice of your cousin to arrange to buy desserts.

My daughter is 17 and she has read several Jane Austen books. I know her favorite is Emma, but I don't know what all she has read. Do you have a favorite? What other favorite books do you have. She is always looking for stuff to read.

I don't know why it never even occurred to me that those statues look nothing like Dolphins. From now on, I'm going to think of the complex as the Swan and Fish. So if it used to be collectively, the Swolphin, now it's the Swish? :)

lol!!!!!

Sorry I haven't commented in a while. First, we were off on our FABULOUS 8-day Polynesian club level extravaganza!!! It was amazing - the perfect vacation :goodvibes Except, they made us leave  I really thought we could maybe stay and sleep on the hammocks on the beach, but the staff said no....

We had a few days of post-Disney depression, then school started and it's been crazy ever since. The kids began talking on the airplane about next year's trip, so I'm gonna start planning :thumbsup2

Excited to hear about Cape May breakfast. We ate there for dinner for the first time this past trip and it was fantastic. The crab legs were delicious, and I was amazed at all the different food on the buffet!! As you said, all four sides were stocked with different things - fabulous! Unfortunately, we didn't have the oreo bon-bons...I had heard they were gone, then heard they were back...but none for us :sad1:

Oh, and I have to tell you - I have my own personal Mickey waffle iron! Are you jealous?? It makes larger and flatter waffles than the ones at Disney, but it's awesome!!

As always, great update and can't wait to hear more :dance3:

Sigh, the Beach Club is just SO beautiful! The details everywhere are just incredible.

I love the sandcastle! That is too cute!

OMG. I might need to go to Cape May. They have a MICKEY WAFFLE BAR! Literally the only way you could improve a Mickey waffle is by adding whipped cream. That is amazing.

Donald and Minnie have such cute costumes! And I appreciate that your family coordinates your outfits to the restaurant -- my family and I love to do that with the parks we go to!

Ahhh, the beautiful Beach Club! That breakfast looks delish! I was actually supposed to go on my last trip but ended up canceling. Eh, there's always next time!
