Here's a bag that I bought from Thirty-one that I planned on taking with me into the parks this trip

And this tote is coming with us as well

And this is where we are going

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers everybody. They are doing the artery on his neck this Monday. Its over 90% blocked. The other side will be done in about three weeks. Its around 60% blocked. Thank goodness his eye doctor suspected during his routine six month exam (he has cataracts) and sent him for an ultrasound and then fixed him up with a heart specialist ASAP. He's at a 95% chance of a stroke. They put him on high doses of aspirin until the surgery. That woman (eye doctor) saved his life.

I was away this weekend and just saw this. I hope everything goes okay with the surgery! :goodvibes Thinking about the both of you!

Teena - thinking of you and Bob today and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Crazy time here - still have to pack and finish shopping!

Good luck this morning though. Got out my "Disney" Lesportsac mini backpack that I only use at Disney. Made sure APs, waterpark APs, TIW and Disney Reward card were there. I had to load our Disney dollars on our card $300! The nice surprise though was that I found $175 Disney gift cards still there from our last trip!!!!

5 days to go!!!!!!

I just pulled the suitcases out :woohoo:

Super cute bags:)

I haven't heard from Teena yet today other than they were at the hospital around 9.

She did want me to share this video with everyone:

I have also posted it to the following thread- if you don't mind, please click on this link and post your comments over there.

Thanks!!!

Dee

Lily Goes Live: A Princess' First Visit to her Kingdom

From Teena:

Jeanne said Lily FINALLY likes princess stuff. She was not into the princesses at all but Jeanne got so tired of her watching the parades (a friend taped them onto a DVD for her), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake the Pirate, that she started putting Disney movies in the DVD player. She started with Cars and Nemo and after being sick of them being played over and over again, Jeanne put in Beauty and the Beast. OMG ... she loved it after the first hour of crying for Nemo. And when Belle dances around, Lily dances around.

I had purchased a bunch of princess dresses (of course) and one of them (the green one) is there in Vegas and the rest are here since I figured Jeanne would want her to wear them when we visit WDW. She has shown it to Jeanne but Jeanne had no interest in frilly things .... UNTIL NOW. Apparently she pointed to it after the second time of "dancing" to Beauty and the Beast and screamed "mama, mama, put on". So on it went and she danced and danced and danced. So we now have an official Disney Princess!!!!!

I just heard from Teena:

"Surgery is over. Bob is on his way to recovery for next 4 hours, then his room. Doctor said he can speak and move his arms and legs. Next 24 hours they will monitor him very closely, especially his blood pressure, but so far it all looks good. Doctor told me it is safe to breathe now. I am so relieved! I'll report again after I see him. Because of the type of surgery, it will be 4 hours before he is moved to a room and I can see him. Good thing this is a soft chair!"

On behalf of Teena and Bob, I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers!!!

We are lucky to have such a great group of friends, and family, here!

Ok....the story I'm about to tell will frustrate all of you, so beware!

My sister-in-law and her family is joining us at WDW....staying CL at BC. We arrive in 20 days.

Several weeks ago I gave her the email address and phone number for IPO to make her dining reservations. She calls me tonight to ask a few questions and to tell me she narrowed down where she wants to eat. In 20 days. Would you care to guess where she wants IPO to book her family for dinner? Go ahead....guess.

Are you sitting down? Sit down. You'll need to be sitting when you hear this.

Chef Mickey's AND Be Our Guest.

I am not lying! I can't make this stuff up. Seriously!

Are you freaking kidding me? 20 days before she arrives, she wants to eat at the MOST popular restaurants at WDW!

I think I may have snorted when she told me. She didn't like it when I said people book their meals 180 days in advance. I told her she might get a 9:15 dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's and if she wants to eat at BOG, she should line up at 10:30am for lunch cuz she's not getting in there for dinner!

This is why I don't like traveling with non-planners.

ARGH!

Who can relate to my frustration?

Hahahaha. That's a good one! :) I would turn of your

So very happy his surgery went well!!!

Teena: I'm sure you are relieved to breath and if you were me, I know I'd be letting out years of happiness :).

I hope your hospital serves better coffee than ours does, 4 hours must seem endless!!!

Keep us posted!

Hugs,
Missy

Yay Bob! Teena, I bet he'll be wanting you to book another vodka shopping trip, I mean cruise, as soon as he's back to 100%!

I've been in hiding mode for a while due to pile-ups at work, but I'll be free on Thursday and *may* have some news! Anyway, I have been reading along and want to say hi to my BC/YC friends and wish Teena a good day today. Clearly, you and Bob are in my thoughts.

Ooh! What type of news?!? Lol

While Bob was working at the Contemporary and I was doing my thing at the BC (same hours so we car-pooled), he picked me up one night after work and I said, "boy, that was some storm ... couldn't even see the Boardwalk because the rain was so heavy." He said, "what rain, we didn't have any rain at the Contemporary".

Sometimes an Animal Kingdom bus and a Magic Kingdom bus drops off at the same time. As the guests are walking through the front door, half are soaking wet and half are dry. It rained at one park and not the other.

Very hit or miss. I always assumed WDW controlled the weather. DWP. Disney Weather Plan

Thanks Dee for the update! I heard from Teena earlier today just before Bob went in but have been in meetings all day and cell reception isn't the best. Glad to hear he is in recovery now.

Quick update- Bob is in his room now and Teena has been in. He is a little nauseated from the anesthesia. But still ok.

Glad to hear surgery went well. Hope he continues to do well and the side effects from the anesthesia subside.
