BC IPO contacted me and gave me the number of the Marketplace directly.
They spoke to the managers and asked them to assist me with the baskets.

It's really no problem - just as easy to tell them what I need as IPO.

It seems that the managers no longer want the IPO cms to physically take the cc # out of the IPO office.

Do you mind sharing the number? What a fun surprise for the kiddos! :) I hope you don't mind if I steal it! :thumbsup2

Oh and 93 days to go....just had to add that! :)

Dee: Have a great time on the field trip!!

HuubDave: Yes, it's usually hard to beat Dee to the boards.....but you are up pretty early too today???

30 Days to Go!!!

I wake at 5:15 but don't get on the Dis until I am eating my bagel
6 more days of school, then I can sleep until 6

I was thinking I'd do the same, but my internal clock still has me up around 5:00!!!

I log on with my eggs each morning!!! That way I don't loose track of time getting ready for work!!!!

As you guys know I got an AP last month & have been bummed that because of the media upgrade I could not gain access to the AP website :crazy2:. Well this a.m. I was reading a thread I subscribe to called "AP Discount" & Houstonmama :hyper:(thank you so very much) posted a contact number to call the IT Dept at Disney to set up access.

I called this am & spoke with a CM named Haskle in IT who was awesome :worship: (I took phone survey & then went online & did online survey to say how great she was). It took about 35-40 mins with her having to put me on hold a lot (I did not mind one bit, lots of great Disney music!), but I now have access! She ended having to have me go through old website & then i was assigned a new code instead of one on my AP card. I now can look up AP room availability! This is so exciting :banana::banana:!

The Disney IT contact number is (407) 939-7765 & I hit option 2. I called about 11:15a & didn't have to wait to talk to CM.

Ocalla- I know you were frustrated about the lack of AP access too, maybe you can get access now!

24 days....still no bathing suits for the almost 14-year-old or me.

I'm still toying with our reservations.....I'm crazy.

I'm also having a mild heart attack. We are hosting an 8th grade graduation party (for the aforementioned almost 14-year-old) for 80 people in 10 days and we're having new windows installed yesterday and today. The trim we bought and painted is too small so now we need to buy new stuff AND paint it. They can't come back to do the inside trim until Monday. Do you know what goes along with new windows? Window treatments! Those can't be hung until the trim work gets done next week. ARGH!!!!!!!  I have too much to do before this party...... Thank goodness the new windows look fabulous!

OK, rant over....back to your regularly scheduled Disney topics....

Angeejoe: that's awesome!!! I can't wait to call and see if they can help me!

Thank you so much for thinking about me :)

Thanks for the tip! I've also been frustrated by this. If I hadn't read on another site about summer discounts for AP holders, I would've missed out on getting another 5% off our trip (for a total of 35% vs the 30% code for summer) and upgrading to CL. Although, I hate to do things over the phone. lol

I'm also doing the 60 day happy dance today! So excited for our first stay on site and in a deluxe!:banana::banana:

You're welcome! Let me know if it works for you!:goodvibes

My DH is driving me nuts :scared1:! Save me! My husband cannot wrap his head around not having the Deluxe DP! I explained since I have an AP I can get the Tables in Wonderland Card & we'd get 20%. Where Deluxe Dining Plan says you can save up to 15%. This seems like no brainier to me, but he feels like if I'm trying to save money by having Tables In Wonderland I'm going to some how limit what he spends on food (we don't even do this at home, not sure why he thinks this would be different). I explained he still can get whatever he wants & that alcohol now would have a discount too!

I told him that on DDP last year I felt like I didn't always want an appetizer or a dessert & I always felt like to get my bang for my buck I'd order the most expensive thing which ended up being a lot of steak & im not a big steak eater. Whereas normally I would have ordered a different item & saved steak for Yachtman or Le Cellier. Also we had a gazillion snack credits left that we ended up using our last day in gift shop. There were some snacks I wanted but you couldn't use a credit on so I just didn't get it because I felt I should get something that would use a credit.

DH says that the last trip was his favorite because there was no thinking involved & everything was already paid for. I explained we'd still use our Room key & it would just charge our debit card anyways (which is where money for DDP would come out of anyways, duh). I also suggested the target gift cards if he liked the ease of knowing that its paid for, he deemed that too complicated!!! Grrrrrr!

How do I make him get it? Like I said I have no worries on what he orders or how much he spends. He can still get appetizers & dessert, & I'll get them if i want one then. Why pay more if we don't have to? My DH loves Disney, so it's not that at all!

Thanks for listening to my vent session... Where do I pay my insurance copay Dr Disboards?

Angeejoe: I just finished with my AP registration.....I was on the phone for a total of 7 min!!! The CM was amazing :)

I know it's stupid, but now I feel officially like an AP holder :)

Three :banana::banana::banana: for you!!!

We decided to drop the DP and go OOP with some discounted gift cards thru Target

AP/TIW is a great deal. We just don't go enough

I am going to call tomorrow to register my AP. I am also frustrated with not having access to the AP site

Thanks for 's Ocalla! I felt the same way, we're officially AP holders!!! :thumbsup2

Now we need to cross our fingers for fall AP rates to come out soon!

This is my 1st AP, so I want to book lots of trips & get my money worth! I need to win the lottery since social workers make no money!

I am going to call tomorrow to register my AP. I am also frustrated with not having access to the AP site

Awesome! You will feel empowered! Lol! Let me know how it goes!

Ah!! I'm in such a similar situation! We are not annual passholders (but probably should be!), every time we go, we've done DxDP, because "it's all paid for, nothing to worry about"
Well every time we go, I gain 5 pounds :scared: and I know we're not always getting our monies worth. We're staying CL this October (a surprise for DH) but I haven't added food at all yet. I'm going to put the #'s on paper and show DH what I'm thinking. If he wants DxDP this time, he can pay for it.
Good luck convincing!!

Hi Everyone! We leave to Florida tomorrow!! We are staying with friends at their beach house near Pensacola for a few days and then checking into the BC next Tuesday!! Now this is a really embarrassing question but this is our first trip and we are from seattle so I just have to ask (just please don't laugh me off the DIS boards please :))

Again, we are from seattle so my question is should I pack a sweatshirt or lightweight coat at all for us? I know it's hot in Florida but what about the evenings? Or during a rainstorm? Will it get chilly at all? Or are tank tops and shorts par for the course?

You might want to pack something lightweight in case the air conditioning is cold. But the weather should stay warm enough that you won't need a sweatshirt. You"ll need plastic rain ponchos for the occasional shower, which oftens comes in the afternoons.

Thank you! We have the ponchos packed but wasn't sure about something lightweight. Do people carry those types of things into the parks with them? I'd just hate to take up prime luggage space with something like a windbreaker...?
