I'm 60 days
So just did my First day at Pop check in!

One person must ride ME to get your luggage delivered to your resort. Have one person ride ME and one person rent the car. We did this once because we traveled with my parents, husband and three kids and we all wouldn't fit in the minivan we rented along with our luggage.

Our DD and her boyfriend are traveling with us, so our problem is too much luggage to get a car- We would need to rent a minivan for 4 people just to go back and forth to the hotel. Excellent idea, DD and BF can take the bus with the luggage while we take the car. Thank you so much for the great idea.

No, we didn't request it. We upgraded our tickets to APs on our arrival May 13th. Also bought the Tables in Wonderland card @ the same time. (Don't know if that mattered). I had read a few posts about the magnet & people getting it in the mail about a month after they got APs. I was sure we wouldn't get one-- not a really lucky person. I did get the little "thank you" card from Mickey & the gang early last week.

I got home from work Sat night & found more mail from Disney-- included was a welcome to the WDW AP Family brochure describing all the AP benefits & THE MAGNET!!! I was having a really bad day so that sure helped pick me up!

Sat was just over a month from our AP purchase, so that seems to be the time frame for it to arrive. Hope you get one!!

Thank you focusondisney for the follow up! I bought my AP on May 29 & just got the Disney "thank you for visiting card" yesterday, so may ones on the way!! Fingers crossed ! I love a little pick me up too!

Totally agree it also annoys me that some hotels, incl wdw charge for over 2 adults in a room, when room occupancy is for 4!

We're like twins Sue because that annoys me too , why does it matter the age of the people in the room, 4 people are 4 people no matter what the age!

Perfect example: When we were talking about having an extended family Disney trip this year (until SIL found out she was pregnant & due in Oct & my mom then cancelled trip). I was trying figure out a way to stay in my beloved Epcot area & fit everyone's budgets, so I looked into Swan/Dolphin. I found lots of fees there I thought were annoying: the resort/Internet fee, the parking fee/day if you drive, no DME (I know it's not an actual Disney property) & no DDP if you want it. There are many benefits there of course especially being at Epcot, the boats, the views, etc. I just think there should be 1 price, with all fees included, I think it's just sneaky. Of course with all fees Swan/Dolphin could still be cheaper, but the more I looked into it the more annoyed I was was it. It was the just the point!

This is how we discovered BC/YC. S&D raised their resort fee $5/day after we already booked our June trip. Our service was also terrible in December and when we brought it up we were told they were at capacity and focused on a convention. Totally over it.

Sounds great! We will be there most mornings and afternoons. Now that the kids are older, we like to head into the parks around 5pm and stay until closing. I can't drag our kids out of SAB!

This is how we discovered BC/YC. S&D raised their resort fee $5/day after we already booked our June trip. Our service was also terrible in December and when we brought it up we were told they were at capacity and focused on a convention. Totally over it.

Hello everyone! Just checking in, SO wishing I was as close to our departure date as it seems some of you are! Just wee bit jealous.

I do have a question: after reading that our chances of getting a full balcony at club level are fairly decent, I'm wondering what room requests we should make. We've got a lagoon/water view, so that's taken care of. We'd prefer to be closer to the action, but not so close that we can't get some quiet time (and restful sleep). At POR, we always requested the Mansions, Magnolia House or Oak Terrace, and both were great because they were close enough to only be a 4-5 minute walk to everything but far enough a way so that it was still quiet when we needed it to be. When we stayed at the Poly, we stayed in a TPV room in Tahiti - fantastic because it was about 5 minutes to the Great Ceremonial House, 5 minutes to the TTC, and removed enough from everything to be really quiet at night.

I swear, we're not too difficult to please.

So, given this, what requests would you make in a lagoon/water view CL room at BC?

I am officially booked for a December return to the Beach Club Villas.This will be our closest time between trips, but we just had to see the Christmas decorations. Last year, as you might remember, our whole family was sick at Disney. Not one trip to the Osbourne lights. No Epcot storytellers or Candlelight Processional. So, we are hoping to do it right this year. We are also hoping to not have anyone sick. It will be a crazy trip, as our APs run out in early December, so the one time we could go is right after Thanksgiving. Can't believe how high airline prices are. I was on the airline websites the day they released flights for 2 airlines and the initial prices were higher than we usually pay. So,we are flying out of a different airport than the one we return home to. We also have to rent a car, so that will be different for us. But, I like trying new things.Ffingers crossed that it goes well. Dee, if you could add us to the list, I'd appreciate it. We will be at BCV November 30-December 6. Thanks.

I hope that your Christmas trip this year goes better than it did last year! I totally get the frustration around airfare cost. With my DH being Canadian, we fly up once a year to see family. It's rare that the price dips below $1,000/ticket and we have to buy for four! But for our trip coming up at the end of next week, I did manage to catch a deal a few months back.

Btw, we rent a car every time we visit WDW. Tried DME once, and realized it just wasn't for us. We prefer the flexibility that our own car provides. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Man, I wish I was still an AP holder. But I'm pretty sure I'll never talk DH back into that one again.

Dee, have you given any more thought to the Drunken Treasures DIS meet on July 18th? One month from today!!! You know, we really need to talk to the DIS about getting a Sunken Treasure smilie with a green beverage instead of a black one.

I totally have to make one of these. Printed up the Sunken Treasure recipe for my planning book. It IS an essential part of the planning process to be familiar with ALL things WDW and BC, correct?

Have just booked YC LV CL for my trip next May last year I stayed BC GV CL and loved it, before that I used to stay BWI CL (which I still love). Last time I stayed at the YC was 2006 so a long time ago but looking forward to returning.

Ages to go yet but I'm going to keep uptodate with this great thread.

Ahhh, great view you have! One week from today I'll be staying at the Dolphin. Your view got me even more excited! National School Nurse's Convention with my sister in law!
