Jake is very popular. He is one of the main characters at the Playhouse Disney meal in HS.

Well there you have it... I need to make another reservation at that restaurant! DD (24 at the time) and I ate there as a walk up once not knowing what the restaurant was... needless to say it was the best bfast ever with all the dancing kids! Neither of us knew any of the characters!!

Thanks for the heads up!!

I have a cab fare estimator in the first post on this thread- Transportation section:

Here is one website link to help you determine the estimated cabfare from point to point during your trip: Taxi Fare Finder

According to this, trip is 4.5 miles, 10 minutes and the fare is approx $17.00 including a 10% tip.

.

Thank you Sooo much! I didn't see that in the info part. Sorry about that!

We had a successful night in Epcot. Great dinner at Via Napoli, and I was surprised at the number of empty seats in the 7pm hour. We then found our perch for Illuminations.

One thing I do not think I ever knew or have seen posted is that they stop serving beer at 9pm. My wife was in line at the little beer kiosk in Germany. At promptly 9pm they closed up and said they could not serve anymore. They did not care who was in line nor did they ever mention this a few minutes prior to 9. My wife was not happy.

First day at the Beach Club has been great. The kids love it. Off to Epcot first thing tomorrow morning.

Now that I've found the latest thread...

My sister and I just changed our reservations from POR in Oct to BC CL. SO EXCITED TO BE BACK!! Decided it was the place to be for our annual Food and Wine trip. Hope the boys make it to the right resort. Giggle!!

Caseystigger & Aidanself Oct 19-25th ADD US PLEASE!!

We need to start a petition to get Tastycakes in Canada!
:thumbsup2

We just recently got them here in NYC! Seeing them a little more since Hostess went out of business! I used to get them when DD was in college in the Philly area then I found them at a supermarket in Staten Island and now they are available where I shop... not that I get to eat them :(

If my brother is coming down to meet up with me to visit mom in Lauderdale I'm going to have to ask him to bring me down a packet so I can see what everyone us raving about!!! Or maybe talking Teena out of one if hers! :rotfl: with all the people keeping her supplied, I'm sure she must have a million by now in her freezer squirreled away ::yes::

You know you are without children/grands when.... you have to ask who Jake the Pirate is?!?

I could have googled... but I thought posting here would be way more interesting.

~Nannette

Ok took to long for a response....I googled!
That's ok, I haven't a clue either!!!

You made this????? Want to make more? Size 2T? I'm in line as your first customer. Do anything with Jake the Pirate or Tinkerbell (Lily's favorite)?????

As to making more for others, I just purchased my machine a few months ago, so I am just a newbie, then there are all the copyright laws.

I was able to get all 7 dwarfs all around the skirt.

8 Days and counting!!!

My DDs like Jake as well although my oldest, almost 7, does not like the toys as she says they are for boys but she watches the show. I can now say I will be at Beach Club next week! Due to finances we changes our reservations to 4 days BC CL (June 9-13) and 3 days POR. The girls will like to stay in Tiana's room. We wanted to stay at BC all week but there were no rooms left to downgrade so this is our compromise. I think we save $900 by switching!

We will still have access to the CL lounge the day we check out right? I was planning to stop there mid afternoon after HS and before we go to the other resort.

Has anyone ever eaten at the garden grove for breakfast while staying at the yacht/beach club? Are they open every day for breakfast. Don't necessarily want to make an adr every morning for breakfast but sometimes it's hard to get in captain grille last minute notice was just wondering if walking over to swan/dolphin an easier option.

Went to Kouzzina couple of times for breakfast and we did not like it so that is not really an option for us thanks!

The Garden Grove hosts a standard breakfast buffet in a pleasant setting (I kinda like the tree in the middle all lit up!). It's usually not very crowded and they do accept Tables in Wonderland, so if you're an AP holder, it might be worth it. A bit closer would be Picabu in the Dolphin. It's pretty much a cafeteria setting, but nice décor and friendly staff make it good bet for food.

Cape May Café at the BC hosts a character breakfast also, if the walk to the Swan is a bit daunting.

Yes, access to the lounge is until midnight the day you check out. :)

By the way, just for general information........on one trip we were not leaving by DME until late in the evening and were planning on using the CL lounge as a resting place and for snacks after we checked out that day. When we returned from the parks that afternoon our room keys would no longer work in the elevator to get to the 5th floor. If this happens, simply go to the front desk and they will give you keys that will give you access.

I have kids and didn't know either :) Mine are past Disney Jr though...they're into Disney XD- Kickin' It, Pair of Kings...Our niece loves Doc McStuffins though, so that's the one DisneyJr character I know :)

They grow up so fast :( Seems like just yesterday we were having fun at Playhouse Disney Live!

DH and I have eaten breakfast here and it was very good. Lots of options and very easy to get a table.

Since I can only get a standard view with 5 people in my room at club level at the Yacht Club, any suggestions for a room request? I’d love to get a view of water but unfortunately it looks like all of these views have a max of 4 people in the room.

Thanks!

:wave2:

Nice to see you back here!!!

Please let us know where you end up!

:goodvibes

Thanks Dee! I will definitely let you know! ;) BTW...thanks for all you do to keep this thread going. This resort thread has the MOST detailed information and you are constantly taking the time to update it. :thumbsup2

Kerry,

Great news you are coming back! I only wish it was July so we could meet up again! Congrats to your son and good luck to your daughter! We went during the F&W and MNSSHP once and had a ball!!!

Hi Robin! I wish it could be in July...after all, I was at the 1st DIS meet. My daughter is so upset we are going in October, that if she wasn't going to Germany to study abroad for 4 weeks in July-August I would have probably squeezed in an early July trip! I am still considering getting AP's for DH & I since I'm sure to be back within the year!! Thanks for the congrats to my son...it was a very proud day for us.

Hi Kerry! Great to see you! :)
Great to see you too! We had a blast in CA last summer at DL/DCA...so much to do in those two parks.

Thanks for the heads up on this. We also have a late departure, so will probably hang out in the lounge later after we come back from the parks.

Can't wait to see you again!

Hi Teena! :goodvibes We can't wait to see you again too...we missed you on our last Y&BC trip in August 2011. We will definitely stop by to see you (and maybe bring a few of your favorite tastycake treats)!! :thumbsup2

Kerry
