I knew i should have saved it in my favorite places, but I can't seem to find the info about the short cut from BC to WS, where was a certain door to walk out of? Anyone link me to that post? Thanks!

My 8 year old daughter says we are 83 days away...it seems just too far away!! :faint:

~~~ Look to Page 1 ~~~ ;)
The main thing you need to remember is follow the hallway signs to Room 1501.
Here is the post from the BC Rooms Post (Post 8)
Step-Saving Super Secret Entrance to the Beach Club
There is a side entrance/exit to the Beach Club which takes you mere steps, probably 3 minutes, from the International Gateway Entrance. It is near room 1501.
This was really handy for us a couple of times this summer when it was wicked hot and when it had just started pouring.
You have to go through a lot of hallways to find it, so the best way to do this is to follow the signs to room 1501 from the lobby.
Here are photos of the exit door near room 1501, the pathway and the gate to the "secret entrance"
Have you booked a trip? Let us know the dates if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list.
BUMPING up your question about Wi-Fi at Stormalong Bay. Does anyone have recent experience?
Doing a split stay between Contemp and BC June 10th-16th, Three nights at each.:cool1:
Hello Y&BC friends! It's been awhile since I've posted. However I've been lurking for months!! My last time being very active on the DIS was last year, but that was mostly on the DL threads since we visited DL/DCA for the first time. Anyway, I miss my 'old' friends and look forward to all the new friends here...this is such a friendly place!!
DH and I are coming down for F&W in October...have the SW airfare booked but not hotel yet (opposite of what I normally do). I had a great pin code through end of September and wanted to book with that for the beginning of F&W, but we have a wedding in VA end of Sep. We do know we want to stay in the Epcot area!! My daughter is upset she can't go (college), but my son (just graduated from Rutgers) seems okay with it. They both enjoy Disney (especially DD). So all of you folks wondering if your kids will outgrow WDW...I say don't even think of it. There is sooooo much to do and my family realized on our last few trips it's not just about the rides haha.
:wave2:
Nice to see you back here!!!
Please let us know where you end up!
:goodvibes
PHEW!!!
It wasn't easy, but I'm all caught up.
Please take a moment to review the Be Our Guest list to make sure I have your information listed correcty.
Post 15: Be Our Guest list
I also tried to bump up any outstanding questions, but if I missed something from a day or two ago, feel free to ask again.
There's still an outstanding ? about whether the KTTW cards at the BC/YC have RFID chips.
I think I heard you can get the kids meal without the bucket? Just have to ask.
I asked about this at Hurricane Hanna's in January, and at least at that time with that set of CMs, they said same price for the kids' meals with or without bucket. But the buckets are great, not too hard to pack and a nice memory! And when we started to accumulate too many, we'd leave some for other kids at SAB.
Just bought the inflatable noodles yesterday. Put them straight into the Disney bin! If anyone uses them successfully at SAB let me know!! FYI there were 2 in a pack for $3 in the Target Dollar Spot.
Good to know!! I live at the Target $ spot!:cool1:
Our KTTW card was the RFID type when we were at the YC last August. We didn't have any passes on them (we have APs), but I don't think they had the RFID readers at the park entrances then.
Kerry,
Great news you are coming back! I only wish it was July so we could meet up again! Congrats to your son and good luck to your daughter! We went during the F&W and MNSSHP once and had a ball!!!
Thanks! I am hoping/expecting RFID, primarily for use at park turnstiles; our first morning there will be the second-to-last Star Wars Weekends date and I'm reading that the RFID lines seem to be moving a little faster these days.
If anyone has any definite experience/info to share, I'd really appreciate it.
Would you like me to pencil you in on the Be Our Guest list for May, or wait until you book?
Regarding room views- I have started a couple of "View Threads" on the resort photo subforum. Click on these links and scroll through for a few samples of views from the different room categories.
Thank you for all the info!! The GV rooms here look fine!!
As for adding us to the list, I would wait until we book. We are looking at May 8-17, or May 15-24.
New cards are super fast and easy to get through the lines.
We just came back from a great week at the Beach Club. I absolutely love the scent when walking into the Beach Club Main Lobby. Does anyone know what that might be and get you get it anywhere.
I've stayed at BCV four times. I've stayed at the YC and the Boardwalk (more than once) and wandered over to the Beach Club on those trips. So I've been in the Beach Club Main Lobby many times.
I have allergies, so I am very sensitive to scents and I have never noticed a scent in the Beach Club Main Lobby.
Everybody talks about it. I don't know how I managed to miss it.
Somebody asked this:
"Also, does anybody know what the rack rate was for May this year? Just trying to get an idea in my head of figures."
This might be helpful:
go to disneyworld.com
try to guess which night is least likely to be booked
put in the dates for just that one night, at the resort you want
If there are rooms available, the price will appear for the different views.
If the view you want has a dollar amount showing, you can click on VIEW PRICE PER NIGHT under the dollar amount.
A new window will pop up.
Now click on VIEW SEASONAL PRICING.
It doesn't let you go back in time, but it does let you go forward as far as they're booking online.
For example, if I chose September 13, and a Lagoon/Pool view room was available for that night, I could then check the prices back to today and forward to December 31 for Lagoon/Pool view. But if Standard View was unavailable for that night, I'd have to guess another night when it might be available. As soon as I found any night with a Standard View available, I could check the prices back to today and forward to December 31 for that view.
You get the idea.
So for the rest of May at the Beach Club, I was able to see Lagoon or Pool View:
May 25: $615
May 26-30: $560
May 31: $547
I'd keep searching for another view, for you but the disboards gets mad at me when I take too long to compose a post, and it boots me off.
EDITED TO ADD:
After all that, it dawned on me that Mousesavers.com probably has rack rates listed. They do:
Hi Kerry! Great to see you! :)
Have you done a Disney run before? This is my first, and I will be with 2 of my co-workers, also their first.
It's also our first Disney run! My husband and I are running the 10K with our soon-to-be 13- and 14-year-olds, and then our youngest will run the kids' run. Have you seen the medal yet? Very excited about the Alice in Wonderland theme, since our two older boys are in a local production of it this summer, and we were Alice in Wonderland characters for MNSSHP last year! We plan to run the WDW half in 2015 when our older boys are 14 and 15 - but we'll see what they think of the 10K first!
