Okay! I AM IN LOVE WITH THE BEACH CLUB!!!!! And so is DH. He cannot even believe the service here. Incredible! And Emily in the CL lounge....Can she move home with us? Lol. She is great. They are all so accommodating.

Of course the best part of the day was meeting the Lovely Mrs. Teena and getting to spend some time with her. She is fantastic and my DD is sleeping with the pin she traded her beside her pillow. We did take some photos but I never did take the time to learn how to upload them (baaaaa) so I will post them when I back if I figure it out. :-().

Our flight was a mess this morning but once we arrived here at BC everything has been just perfect. We spent a good chunk of the afternoon at SAB. That pool might actually be a problem because my kids do not want to leave it!!! Lol.

I was also able to turn in my PP+ voucher right in the lobby. It was quick and easy. As Dee has mentioned they are open 5-9pm.

Tonight we headed to Epcot and I didn't think the crowds were to bad at all. This MB thing with the FP+ has been AWESOME!!! It has really worked out great all day. Rode Soarin, Mission Space and Test Track with no wait because of our FP+.

Well, I think I will turn in since last night I was too excited to sleep. Let me know if anyone needs me to look for anything.

Also thank you all for the well wishes and sweet comments you have made the past few days! I love this thread and will now just have to plan another trip. Lol. Good night all.

Yay! I am so glad you love BC as much as I do! It really is my favorite place in the whole wide world! Our kids have the same problem at SAB. They refuse to get out! My son didn't even want to get it to eat dinner. Of course, when he finally decided he was ready to eat, HH had already closed! That volleyball net sucks him in every time!

Glad you got to meet Teena. Isn't she a gem?

Making an edit to my post saw my question already answered (Thanks Dee!) about BCCL rehab dates... silly me! still reeling over needing to make changes to add another to our party! we are still set for summer CL celebration extravaganza but now we are up to a party of 8... with my father! who NEVER travels ANYWHERE! such an awesome surprise! i'm still in shock... excited, but in shock

Hi All!


I'm sorry that it's been a while since I've posted! The start of the school year always overwhelms me, but I think I'm swimming with the current instead of against it at this point! We are only 44 days out! I'm so excited!

I've only done massages at the GF but DH did a sports massage at BC, before the Tower of Terror Run in 2008 and he thought they did a great job!

Also, the Dolphin does great work..I've had massages there twice.

Quick check in! DH was confused when we went to 5th floor. When I told him CL was a surprise, still somewhat confused. When he was handed a beer, no longer confused!! He just said
"You made a big mistake Al, this club level thing, you shouldn't have done! We'll always have to stay CL now!!"
I've created a Disney monster!!

It is indeed a curse! We paid for a SV at the GF the first time we went there, heck the first time I had stayed deluxe without my parents paying for it! We were upgraded to RPC (Main Building) with a stunning view of the lagoon, wedding pavilion and the Polynesian. Since then, we've paid to stay CL at BW, BC, and AKL....clearly we're now addicted!

Candlelight Processional!!! Also, don't miss the holiday decorations at the BC, YC, Boardwalk, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge.

Starting in mid November and going to the end of March, you should be prepared for cold, cool, warm and hot temps. In December we've had days with a high of 45 and the same day a year later it hit 90. So packing isn't always easy.

Most people think it is hot all the time in Florida and arrive with just shorts and tees. Their wallet is very light when they go home and their suitcases much heavier. We sell lots of sweatshirts, hats, scarfs, gloves and we see people wrapped in beach towels walking around the parks. I'd bring your swimsuits, shorts, tees for sure but I'd also pack a pair of long jeans and two sweatshirts. You might not use the swimsuit or the sweatshirts but it's better than buying them at Disney prices.

We have our CP meal plan all ready to go and can't WAIT! My hesitation is that on our MK/MVMCP day, they are supposedly taping the ABC Christmas Parade, and/or the performances in front of the castle for the broadcast. I assume we're just going to be in for a crazy busy day!
As for swimming, we're going in. Yes, it'll be the first 2 weeks of Dec, but we're at the YC and by George, even if for 10 min...we're going in!

I am finally all packed. Checked in online this morning for Southwest in between 2 of our 3 games and parade practice. Whew! Such a relief. We leave in the morn at 9am.
As many of you know my mom has Alzheimer's and she lives at a local facility. I am her person though and I spend about 4 hours a day working with her situation. I have brothers but they are conveniently unavailable. Well I just turned in my paperwork to the assisted living to let them know I will be unavailable and unreachable for the next 9 days. I am so excited!!!! They can call my brothers. Ha! I love my mother dearly but it is exhausting with the 3 kids.
That makes this trip all the more exciting. A true break!!!! I can't wait to be at the BC!!!!!
Thanks so much for all the fun these past few months. Of course I am too addicted to not stay around and plan my next trip in 2015!

I seen mentioned bath and body works scents that smells like the bc, can someone tell me what they are, I can't find the post. Thanks!

I find that RainKissed at B&BW comes the closest. It's not on the racks all the time, but usually comes back during their 2 semi-annual sales, and when it does, it's usually $3/bottle. I stocked up last time. The scent is very similar to that in the lobby of BC/YC and CR.

Hi Scott!! I was thinking about you last night when I customized my magic bands... You should be able to customize your bands now as well!! Just log onto your MDE and go to your profile and it should give you the option to customize.

Ale & Compass, a lounge in the YC lobby, in the morning hours only. The location serves real coffee and a continental breakfast in the morning, and last I knew you could refill your mugs there.

Has anyone used the new rapid-fill mugs there?

I think in the afternoon your only choices are to walk over to the Beach Club Marketplace (inside) or Hurricane Hanna's outside and maybe the Beaches & Cream take out window.

There really should be another place inside at the YC!

Yes! Just as of today actually. We ordered our annual passes online last week and they should be arriving sometime this week. I'm assuming that's why we can't make fast pass reservations yet. I also assume that since our third number hasn't bought her ticket yet, we would not be able to include her in any fast pass reservations, am I right?

Hmmm. I may have to re-evaluate purchasing one. Though since its only myself, the cost isn't so bad I guess. I might break even. I'm a huge soda drinker, but I don't see myself walking over to Beach Club for a few ounces of soda.

I believe you are correct. No FP+ reservations until you add a valid park ticket.

AKL is also one of my favorite resort. We were actually going to stay at AKL at the end of our stay but decided to go over to Portofino Bay to spend a few days at Universal. Enjoy your stay at AKL and Elin, see you at BC!

Funny you should ask ... I just asked that question to one of the "MDE experts" working at our resort and was told you get a new one for every resort visit. I asked that if they were good for two years, why new ones for every resort reservation. She said she did not know but that was what was going on. I suspect if this is true then it means for local annual passholders, maybe they will be able to use their magic bands for two years and then the "thing" in there that makes it work will wear out.

Remember, everything is still being tested ... so answers you are given this month could change next month.

Five years ago. Next one is 2015. Beach Club will be 2014. As soon as BC is done, they will start YC.
