Have a great trip Teena!! It was wonderful meeting up with you during our trip. We have missed you!!

Looking forward to some pictures of you, Jeanne and Princess Lily! Wishing everyone else on their way to the world (and those already there!) a magical time. I sure had one...it was tough leaving WDW!

Awww... Ok you have my full name and the reservation number so just go at that time and take that slot it's for 2 anyway. Shouldn't be a problem.. I've never had anyone say can I see ID to make sure it's your reservation. I would fear you wouldn't get a spot if I cancel all it takes is a split second to make a reservation at the same time. I'm fine with the credit card hold being under my name. I did not receive a pm from you though... I would love to meet up for a drink. Try the pm again or just text me or call you should have my cell number.

Let me know if you want to just take the reservation under my name. I don't need to make a reservation to dine at Bongos I'll just walk up so that's fine with me.

Hi everyone!
Just checking in from what my husband now falls the "most magical place on earth".....the Beach Club. Lol. We really are having the best time. We were able to spend some more time with Teena yesterday which was wonderful. She introduced the kids to pin trading and that has been so much fun for them. Teena have a wonderful beach trip with Lily and Jeanne. So great meeting you!!!
We spent the morning yesterday at the SAB and it was fantastic. Not crowded at all. DH and I actually floated around the lazy river and pretended we were on a date for a while. Lol. We have really used the offerings in the lounge and that has worked out so well for us. They are all so wonderful!!
We headed off to MK about 1pm and we were the only ones on the bus. MK was definitely crowded but this FP thing was a lifesaver. My family was in shock as we walked past tons and tons of people in line to go right on all the rides. This was really nice at BOG lunch. Again score one for the DIS and über planning. Lol
We did the fireworks party last night and that was lovely and then came back to crash. My kids are still sleeping now and in a while we are heading to AK and then back to Epcot for La Hacienda(looked so good on Dee's trip report) and Boys to Men tonight.
Thanks for letting me share! So excited for all of you coming soon. There is absolutely nothing that I do not like about this place. So fun!
Have a great day! :-). Off to another day without my cell phone attached to my side. Whoop!!!!!!

Wowser sounds as though you are having a fab time :cool1:

Teena, have a fantastic time with your girls. I'm looking forward to seeing how much Lilly has grown.

Can you see Epcot(countries or Spaceship Earth) from the Beach Club? If so, What room cat. would you book for the view if available?

Here's the fantastic view vettegirl posted in her review (page 132)- This was a CL Standard View room. There are probably only a few rooms that have peeks of EPCOT- these would be either Standard View or some Garden View.

:)

EEEkkkkkkkk Oh my gosh!!!! My trip is getting close! We will be staying at the BC for the 1st time! I am sooooo excited I might bust! We are spending our 1st night at the POP, we arrive at 1130 pm, we are then moving to the BC!!! My kids thi they are staying at POP for 3 nights they will be excited! I can't believe I kept it a secret! :yay: I have also made a small order from the Garden Grocer, treats and things. This will be a surprise as well! :yay:

All I can say is WOW!!!! Can't wait to see the BC!!!!!:dance3:

Let us know how the surprise goes!

:goodvibes

Me too. I actually teach an AP Psych course and I laugh when we get to the chapter that talks briefly about OCD. I tell my students to just observe my daily routine, as it never changes or it would freak me out...

I can totally relate! I put the "Dee" in OCD!!!

:rotfl2:

Hi,

I will be going to Disney in December for a short trip. My son is in the Mitey Mite Bowl and we will be staying at the POP for 3 nights:sad::sad: as required and then we are transferring the the Beach Club CL (thank god) for the remaining two nights. I've never been in December so was wondering if there is something we shouldn't miss while we are there.

Also, is is swimming weather in December?

Jill

Hey stranger!

:welcome: back!!!

I am so happy to be adding you onto the Be Our Guest list for December.

:woohoo:

Here is the post we have in the FAQ section about winter swimming- mostly a repeat of the replies others have posted:

My trip is in December (November/January/February). Will it be warm enough to swim in SAB?

That depends. Where are you from?

The weather and temperature in Florida can vary greatly in the winter months. One day you are bundled up in coat and wool hat. The next you are in shorts. You can have extreme conditions in the same week.

The pools at Disney are all heated. The problem is usually not when you are in the pool, but it is the air temperature when you get out. Make sure you have a towel close by.

There is certainly a chance that one or more days of your vacation will be warm enough for swimming. As Scar so eloquently sings in the Lion King "Be Prepared!"

Pack your swimsuit and hope for the best!

Wanted to take a minute to say hello. We checked in on Sunday and we have been having the best time. We booked a GV room and have a great view of the Villas..not too far from elevators too. Wasn't sure how i felt about FP+ but have to admit it's been a huge timesaver :). We have been going to the parks but are not running around like we do when we have the kids with us. Really enjoying time at SAB everyday and am surprised by how easy it's been to find chairs this time around. Loving the poolside drinks too (while I like the sunken treasure, I'm REALLY liking their frozen "Orange Blast"...lol). This trip has been extremely relaxing and now DH is insisting we do an adults only trip down here every year :rotfl2:.

On another note...sadly we will be checking out on Thursday and thanks to another couple who generously left us a small styrofoam cooler to use by the pool, we'd now like to pay it forward by giving it to someone else. If anyone is interested in taking the cooler on Thursday, send me a PM and we can
arrange a meet and we'll be happy to pass it on. Our thinking is to do this sometime early afternoon on Thursday.

Yes please. I promise we will show :) thanks again

Assuming this is for me... No worries if you don't show I will see a $20 charge and NEVER trust again!! J/K :) Enjoy it's a great meal and the view is amazing! Call or text me on Wednesday so we can have a drink somewhere!

Looking forward to meeting!

Thank you so much. I'm packed and will be heading to airport around 2 PM. My flight is at 5. Jeanne's in school so she can't pick me up until after 6. My flight arrives at 8 PM her time, 11 PM my time. Can't wait to get to baggage claim and see that Princess running to me!!!!!

I'll try real hard to check the thread while out there. Friday and Saturday we will be in California so no computer. Jeanne and I will be sending pics to Dee and I'm sure she'll post as she gets them.

I hope everybody has a wonderful trip to WDW!!! Can't wait to hear all about the adventures!

pixiedust: safe travels!

Posting Live (dead tired though!!) from Pop Century, 80's building.
It's really late so forgive my usual lack of clarity....

Now for The weather: HOT and HUMID! Not face of the sun hot like in high summer but still really toasty and oppressive. I'd give this weather front two showers a day with a change of clothes accompanying that shower. We are talking sticky city so pack accordingly.

The weather forecast calls for rain and it did spit on us tonight at MNSSHP. Don't freak out about the rain because what they say is coming doesn't and then you get a little rain surprise somewhere else. Just go with the flow and not worry about any forecasts. It's not like you can do anything about it in the first place. It never does what it says

The Halloween party was good. I really enjoyed it but I like the Xmas party better. Not sure why.

Had lunch at Be Our Guest. The roast pork WAS TO DIE FOR!! Nuff said!

Crowd levels: Nothing to get your undies in a bunch although we have yet to experience Food and wine (Will do that this weekend). I shall keep a running count of how many drunks I trip over and give them Nannette's phone number so they can drunk dial her.

I did a drive by at the Beach Club and gave Teena a hug. She is still like "Charmin" and squeezably soft! It was great to see an old friend and have her tell me "Lily tales".

I Met Missy and Franklin briefly at MNSSHP. I will be having breakfast with them later on in the week but I just wanted to let everybody know how nice the two of them are and how happy they look! There is nothing like being freshly married, it puts a wag in your tail and you could definitely see it in this happy couple.

I have been running into Buzzy on this trip. He tried to get in our room by pretending to deliver a Pizza but we never ordered one so HA Buzzy! Please hang up and don't try again!

Alright I have to sleep. This party all day and party all night life style is not for the faint of heart!

Night night all...

~NM

Were on our way!
Not had a very good start. DD2 had been sick all over herself and the car seat, not long after we left. Banana sick too and the car stinks now! So we had to pull over on a busy road in the pouring rain (we are now soaking wet) to clean everything up and she is now wearing her spare plane clothes so lets hope she keeps them clean otherwise she will be arriving at the Beach Club naked!
Traffic has been a nightmare and were now running 45 mins behind.
Just keep thinking of the end result!
See you soon.

Officially joining the fun. I've been sitting on duel reservations, YC and Swan, and I finally cancelled my Swan ressie this morning. Lots to learn about YC!

Hi everyone,

After finding out about the 35% discount on rooms during spring break (last week of March) I just switched our ressies from the Dolphin to the Yacht Club. :cool1:

I am very excited but also nervous. We stayed at the Swan last spring break and had an amazing vacation (other than two really cold days ). We walked by the YC/BC and thought the pool and buildings were beautiful so we told ourselves we would stay there. We determined that after savings from the dining plan, we will be paying about $500 more for the Yacht Club (a lagoon view). Did we make the right choice? I know some don't like the Swan/Dolphin because it is not Disney themed, but we did. It have a very FUN vibe (lots of people and excitement), beautiful surroundings, and a great pool area. Is the YC fun too? Our boys will be 15 and 12 at the time of the trip. The boys picked the YC theme over the BC one (they said it reminded them of the Titanic :)) plus they like the balconies.

I know we can't go wrong either way, but we did really like the Swan so now I am second guessing myself. BTW our favorite resorts have been Wilderness Lodge (when kids were smaller) and Swan/Dolphin. Oh and now I guess we are guaranteed magic bands and FP+.

TIA!

:woohoo:

My boys were 15 and 12 when we stayed at the Beach Club in July. They love the resort! Stormalong Bay is amazing, especially if you have boys who are confident swimmers.

You will be super-close to EPCOT and close to all of the fun at the Boardwalk. You will have a balcony with a spectacular view!

That is awesome that they preferred the "Titanic" theming. My younger son loves everything Titanic!

And as you mentioned, Magic Bands!

IMHO, you absolutely made the right choice (although I have no experience with the Swan/Dolphin)

If you can afford it, I would try the YC. It is a beautiful resort. Many families love the pool area, and being so close to 2 parks.

For my DS15, it was the only bribe I could offer if we stayed at Disney. He says there isn't enough thrill rides for him at WDW, so he'd rather be at USO. However, I'd like to do WDW, so the BC or YC will be the hotel if we stay at Disney some of the time during our summer vacation.

Try it once, at least you can say you stayed there, and then can decide if it will be one of the hotels you'd return to.

I like the YC more than the BC too.
