Have a great trip and visit with your girls.

Send me any pictures you want posted.

Safe travels!

Just popping in to do a little happy dance with you all... Tomorrow we fly from home (in Australia) to New York for a week, then to Disney (and BCV) after that!

So, so excited!! (And a little bit nervous about taking our 7 month old baby boy on the plane, but I'm sure he'll do fine!)

:) :) :)

23 days for us, we just got our Magic Bands last week, and continue to flip flop our ADR and Fastpass +!!!

Our first trip to BC, so super excited, thanks for all the great info in this thread.

Does anyone know if a dessert from Yachtsman Steakhouse can be ordered next door at Crew's Cup Lounge? I have been wanting to try the peanut butter pretzel cake but don't want to eat at the Yachtsmans itself.

Ok... bags were nearly completely packed by Sunday night (phew!). Last field ride finished yesterday. Parent-teacher conferences completed early morning yesterday. Last minute dental surgery completed for for DD9 (yes, really, poor kid).

And yes, it was a very very full day yesterday!

But today is the day!! :) We won't get to Disney until tomorrow, but after work and school, we'll pack our last few things and hopefully be on the road by 5 to drop our sweet pup off at the Pet Palace :) and the fishies off at Grandma's, then off to Chicago for the night. Flight's at 6:00am tomorrow morning, and then we land at MCO at 9:38am.

Can't wait!!!! :)

Have a wonderful trip! :dance3: We still have 8 days!

Good morning! :sunny:

So many of our group are headed to the World in the next few days. And Teena is off to visit her favorite princess of all. What could be better than that?

I hope everyone has a terrific time, no matter their destination. :)

:cheer2: That is so exciting. I hope you have a great trip. :goodvibes You'll have to update when you are there. :)

BTW, We took a 6am flight out of Chicago when we went to WDW in February. It was such a nice flight especially since there weren't any travel delays or crowds at that time of the morning. :)

We will be 10 hours behind you!
Hope to get to BC by 8pm after a 3 hour trip to the airport then a 10 hour flight, immigration then DME . Will be a loooong Day but well worth it!

What time are guests able to get into the International Gateway? I remember hearing about now being able to get breakfast in France. And then...if we are going to go to MK (park hoppers, of course), at what time are we able to walk past UK to the front of the park without getting stopped to get the monorail? Not until official Epcot park opening time? It would seem silly to walk from BC to France and back to BC to get a bus.

I don't think I have given you a welcome greeting yet, so

:welcome:

Please let us know if you end up booking a trip to the Beach Club so I can add you to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

:cool1:

Teena gave you some good advice on your question. You can only enter through the International Gateway when EPCOT is open (or if you have an early Princess breakfast in Norway). Still makes sense (timing-wise) to go back and forth from BC to France for a bus instead of taking the monorail.

:thumbsup2

Thank you for the great info. I'm going to call and book my room tomorrow morning -- I'm going during Easter so I need a AAA discount and cannot book that online (that I know of...).

Let us know if you booked!

:goodvibes

Woo hoo! We finalized our dates for the Catho72 Family 2014 Summer Vacation! Dee, please add us to the BOG list for June 7-16, BC CL. When my husband and I were discussing resort options, I asked him where we should stay. I was suggesting BW, Poly or POR but he gave me a pained look and said, "Uh......Beach Club and it better be Club Level!" Who am I to argue?

I can't wait for 2014! I'm running the Princess Half Marathon in February, I might possibly be chaperoning our daughter's band trip to NYC in March, we're going back to my very favorite place in the world in June and then my husband and I are going to Cancun in July with 13 of our closest friends!

Teena, I'm sorry to hear about your heel pain. I'm experiencing the same thing right now...my plantar fasciitis is acting up from my running. I am on super-duper strength anti-inflammatories, going to Physical Therapy twice a week and wearing a boot when I sleep. It's helping immensely! I can run pain-free but when I was working Sunday all day, I was ready to amputate my foot it hurt so bad. I can feel your pain....literally! :) I hope you and the doctor can find a solution for you that resolves the pain.

Sounds like 2014 will be a fantastic year of travel for you!!!

I'll add you to the list!

PS- You are one of the topics of my latest trip report chapter "We Got Moused!"

I FINALLY finished a trip report (of sorts) of our August 2013 Beach Club trip and posted it to our family blog. I intended on duplicating it for a DISBoards trip report, but its too much. I have linked it below for those who might be interested!

http://asikainens.blogspot.com/2013/10/2013-disney-world-vacation-mega-blog.html

:surfweb:

Thanks so much for the awesome review. Would it be ok if I put this link in the Beach Club/Yacht Club trip report section on this thread? (Page 2)

:)

Wow. I've just drained the battery on my phone this morning reading the entire thread. There's a lot of great information in here!

I'm so excited to bring my family to Disney next year for our second trip, and it sounds like I've picked the best resort for us. We're two parents who love food, which is why Epcot is so important to us, and two little girls who will be celebrating their golden birthday at Disney at a resort with a mini water park!

I've been lurking here for a while, but felt compelled to post because of this awesome little community you have all created. I've seen your posts, shared your memories, read into your deeply personal triumphs and tragedies, and although I know none of you, I feel somewhat connected to all of you.

This past year has been trying for my family, with our only bright spot being a week at AKL - Jambo House back in May. There has been a lot of loss in our lives this year, and I'm hoping to move forward with a trip to Beach Club next May. Maybe I'll see one of you at Hurricane Hanna's sipping a Sunken Treasure.

:welcome:

I'm sorry for the rough year you have had. This thread is a great place to come for friendship, laughter and healing!

Shall I add you to the Be Our Guest list for May?

:woohoo:

My daughter is a mermaid. My 2 sons, husband & I are pirates. We are going to MNSSHP on 10/20.

:welcome: to the thread!!!

:)

If anyone is at Beachclub, would there be a way to confirm they still sell umbrella strollers at marketplace and what the price tag looks like. We have a DD with petite legs that wear out quickly. The goal is to hit the parks this year without a stroller, but wondered if the marketplace was a good backup plan for our DD's needs.

Thanks for the help
Mike

Hi Mike!

:welcome:

When is your trip? Which resort?

:yay:

In addition to the info provided below, a couple of other possible options are to do a daily rental of a Disney stroller, when needed or to contact one of the stroller rental companies if you find you need one. A few people have used Apple rental and I believe I have the contact number in the Other Useful Info post on this thread. (Post 14)

The CL purchased two umbrella strollers for us in mid September at the marketplace. The total for two was $117, so that makes each one a little less than $60.00

Thanks for the info!

Hi everyone!
Just checking in from what my husband now falls the "most magical place on earth".....the Beach Club. Lol. We really are having the best time. We were able to spend some more time with Teena yesterday which was wonderful. She introduced the kids to pin trading and that has been so much fun for them. Teena have a wonderful beach trip with Lily and Jeanne. So great meeting you!!!
We spent the morning yesterday at the SAB and it was fantastic. Not crowded at all. DH and I actually floated around the lazy river and pretended we were on a date for a while. Lol. We have really used the offerings in the lounge and that has worked out so well for us. They are all so wonderful!!
We headed off to MK about 1pm and we were the only ones on the bus. MK was definitely crowded but this FP thing was a lifesaver. My family was in shock as we walked past tons and tons of people in line to go right on all the rides. This was really nice at BOG lunch. Again score one for the DIS and über planning. Lol
We did the fireworks party last night and that was lovely and then came back to crash. My kids are still sleeping now and in a while we are heading to AK and then back to Epcot for La Hacienda(looked so good on Dee's trip report) and Boys to Men tonight.
Thanks for letting me share! So excited for all of you coming soon. There is absolutely nothing that I do not like about this place. So fun!
Have a great day! :-). Off to another day without my cell phone attached to my side. Whoop!!!!!!

Yay!! I have to say that I am SO happy for you that you're getting this break. I'm also a wee bit envious... my cell will, unfortunately, be strapped to my side, but hopefully will not be receiving any calls or texts from work. I have to have it, though, just in case. :/

Question - when does SAB open in the morning? I thought it wasn't until around 11:00am...? On our last day there, we'd planned on heading back into Epcot until we have to leave around noon, only because we didn't think SAB would be open to enjoy. Those plans may change if I find out otherwise... ;)

Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for us tomorrow morning. We're supposed to get rain, mixed with SNOW :scared1: tonight in northwest Indiana and Chicago, and I'm just hoping for good driving weather this evening and NO delays tomorrow morning. :wizard:

What an awesome post!!!

So jealous that you are eating at La Hacienda tonight. WE LOVED IT!!! My husband wants to go back just to eat there! Enjoy!

10 am, I think. Anyone have a different answer?

Sending warm thoughts to your neck of the woods for tomorrow.

No problem just let me know and I'll give you the reservation number to call and change it to your name or however that is done... never did it before so no idea! I'm at EPCOT all day on Wednesday far into the night so maybe we can figure out a time then and if that doesn't work for you we'll figure out something else!

~N

I called and they no longer transfer reservation to another name :(
Maybe if you are willing we can arrange a time to cancel yours and then I could immediately add it. We could do that online if we can set up a time. DH definitely wants that 7:45 time slot if you are still not using it. Just let me know :goodvibes Thanks again...

I sent you a PM with my cell # if you want to meet up for a drink or snack or just to say hi

Thank you so much. I'm packed and will be heading to airport around 2 PM. My flight is at 5. Jeanne's in school so she can't pick me up until after 6. My flight arrives at 8 PM her time, 11 PM my time. Can't wait to get to baggage claim and see that Princess running to me!!!!!

I'll try real hard to check the thread while out there. Friday and Saturday we will be in California so no computer. Jeanne and I will be sending pics to Dee and I'm sure she'll post as she gets them.

I hope everybody has a wonderful trip to WDW!!! Can't wait to hear all about the adventures!
