Something I hadn't really thought of! I plan on using my iPhone a lot too. I have a Disney lesportsac crossbody bag that has a pocket that sits against my body, and I'll drop my phone in there. The little phone wallets are cool, and seem convenient, but it would make me nervous to have money, cards and my phone in a little wristlet! Let me know what you decide to do! Goodluck!

I think I am going to use this Lilly Bloom across the shoulder small bag I saw today at Belk. It is waterproof and has a spot for my phone and money and etc.

I do have to say after 10 days here already, this is the first bad experience we have had with the MB's! But it was also our room keys, too. And I saw 2 other couples down at the front desk that were having the same trouble. It just took multiple tries and a really long time to fix. They did tell me that they "loaded" 3 additional FP+ onto MDE for me to use sometime tonight or tomorrow in addition to the ones I already have reserved. And these supposedly you don't reserve, just use whenever on whatever you feel like it. Will try these out tonight on Soarin!

Okay, that makes me feel better!

I can't believe I'm about to admit this in public, but...at Disney, I wear a waist pouch (I can't quite bring myself to admit it's a fanny pack). It's just a small one, big enough for my iPhone, KTTW card and ID, and maybe a pair of sunglasses, and I don't even notice I'm wearing it most of the time. I've just lost purses and bags too many times to ever think of using anything that isn't semi-permanently attached to my body. That way, I can't leave it under the table or on the back of the chair at a restaurant, which seems to happen way too often to me. After the first few times, not losing your stuff becomes more important than fashion, and I freely admit the pouch is in no way even remotely fashionable. I have been eyeing those crossbody bags, though. Maybe if I could find one small enough and light enough that I don't mind wearing it all day every day at the parks...

I was searching around on the Target app, and I found this iPhone case on a lanyard! Tried to get a pic here, but that was a fail. Here's the info -

$59.99 iCat Dri Cat Neck It Waterproof Case and Lanyard for iPhone®4/4S - Green (11043CP-C107)

Would probably drive me crazy, but I feel it's safer than a wristlet! :yay:

That does look cool!

So far we are living the BC and how close it is to EPCOT! My family (in-laws so you know this is impressive) think I am a rock star for planning this whole trip!!!! After a long 2 days so far, my DH and kids are still sleeping and I am on the balcony taking in a lovely view with my coffee! MBs continue to be awesome! At check in, they could tell DDs wasn't active and took care of it. Be warned that even with online checkin, you may be at the desk a while so they can make sure all the bands are set! EPCOT got crazy last night true to Teenas warning but we were fine all day with short lines. Today is a SAB day! MK later before and after Ohana.
Oh and here is my view. I booked LV and requested full balcony and lagoon vs pool view. I saw someone else post this same view pic and was desperately hoping I would get that view and I DID!!!

Awesome Awesome view!!!:cool1:

Off to work- I am going to the Topsfield Fair to learn a couple of programs we run there for elementary school students

"Before the Tractor" and "Colonial Trades"

I'll have some fried dough for you all!

Great! I will be looking for it later today!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm in! Super excited.

We're staying March 8-15. We had booked the YC (love the full balconies) but the Visa discount wasn't available, so we switched to BC. We're doing the Deluxe dining plan again (DH's favorite part) and I just booked the Epcot Aqua Seas Tour for our "break" day. Has anyone done that recently (or ever? I'm doubting it changes much)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Good morning YC/BC friends,
I have a question. We just returned from our YC/CL stay Oct 1st. When we checked in, it seemed like I was correcting a lot of information. When we were done, I got the welcome package for another family handed to me. :scared1: I mentioned again our first names, last names, and that the name on this package isn't us. The name isn't remotely like our names at all. More corrections followed. I do remember the name of the CM who checked us in. She realized the big "oops" and went back into the computer to correct the odd merge.
Just yesterday, I received a an email from the photopass folks that was to this same family we were confused with at check in. It was sent to my email, but it's for the _____Family. Should I forward the email to someone? If so, to whom?

I have kept an extra good watch on my cc since we've returned. There have been no unusual charges or anything like that.

Many thanks for your advice. :goodvibes

That is strange!!:confused3 I think I would check up on PP+ too.

Starting to get worried, I looked up availability for YC for our dates (just curious about how busy it will be) and it shows absolutely no availability for any rooms! Yikes! I was hoping it would be a slower time of the year :(

When are your dates?:)

Great thanks a lot, now I want that bag in the chili red and then I will change my magic band to red. It's all your fault :)
The small bag in chili red is the EXACT bag I got for this trip! Love the color! I'm sure that this doesn't help much......

we stayed at YC last August (loved it!) and are seriously considering returning to either the YC or BC in August 2014 but can't remember what I read about the room renovations. I believe BC first but wondering if there was a time frame and if anyone (Teena?) thought either resort would be done by late August. Thanks!

YUM!!

On a side note for the first time EVER I received a PIN CODE! Good for 35% off deluxe resorts (AKA YC), but it isn't for the time period I'm looking to book next year :( BUT at least I can say I received one right?!?!

:wave2: Lucky you! Hey at least you got one!

It does say on the disney website that water view is of crescent lake or quiet pool.

I just made a reservation for YC lagoon/pool view and put in a request for a lagoon view.

We had a quiet pool view the last time we stayed at YC (maybe we were upgraded for our anniversary) but didn't pay extra for it. It is a nice view but don't think it's worth paying the extra money.

This is the case for the BC water view rooms, however, the YC water view rooms do not include view of the quiet pool. The YC water view rooms have a view of Crescent Lake and / or SAB. Love that view:thumbsup2

I am pretty sure that the website showed very little availability for our dates this past week, but the resort never felt crowded. We never had problems finding chairs at SAB either, but we don't sunbathe so we weren't picky about where we sat. We loved it and it is my new favorite resort.

:wave2: Rebecca! That's exactly what I said!

I also love that view... had it a couple years ago now and well it was amazing straight on SAB and Lighthouse!

The lagoon view at YC is one of the main reasons I pick YC over BC, that and the full balconies.

Per Teena a while back, BC gets reno in January 2014 then YC in 2015 then BCV...Hope that stays on track...

BC is first and I can absolutely guarantee you that the BC will NOT be done by August 2014 and the YC will probably not even be started in 2014. In fact, we do not have a firm start date ... just sometime in 2014.

Still has a cough but acts 100% fine Jeanne says. Fever and other symptoms gone. Thanks so much for thinking about her!!

So glad Lily is doing better. Only thing worse than a sick grandchild is a sick grandchild far away. I know you were going crazy with worry. Bet you can't wait for the next two weeks to fly by!

I guess they need to fix the website.

Glad to hear this because I'm looking forward to a lagoon view.

Now this is interesting....:smooth:....What time of year are you NOT looking to book?

I used this board quite a bit in planning our trip and we just returned from a wonderful stay at BC. We surprised the kiddos (5 & 7 who turned 8 during our trip) and they had a blast. The BC was the absolute perfect place for us. We loved everything about it (especially those beds!). We booked a regular standard view and ended up overlooking the valet area at the front of the resort. It was a location which was great for us. The elevator was close enough to get refills downstairs but far enough away that we did not wake to the noise of people going in and out of them. We did Cape May for breakfast on my daughter's birthday and Minnie actually delivered the small, custom cake I had ordered beforehand. Seriously, the best trip ever and I know I would not have felt as prepared and confident if this board was not around. Thanks SO MUCH to everyone. I really appreciate it.
We did the Halloween party as well and the only sole bummer of the trip was that the parade music for Halloween was really addictive. It is still playing in my head. I could not find a CD of it while I was at Disney and have since learned the CD is not really sold online. Big sad face. I am still looking but not sure I can justify a giant $45 markup on it on Amazon by a 3rd party seller.
We had the magic bands (FANTASTIC!) and I had booked our Fastpasses in advance. Everything was super easy and we had no problems at all with the bands.
The swimming pool was awesome. I know some people were worried about young kids and the pool area being so big, but honestly, our kids kind of stayed put in one area at a time. They did the big slide too (eventually) and were so proud of themselves afterwards.
I will say that we left Disney to go to Universal for a couple days. We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort there and ... wow.... I didn't expect better than Disney (or worse)... but I think I thought it would be comparable to our BC stay. Wow. I can't say we had a bad stay at Royal Pacific but BC is SO SO much better by comparison for our family that I definitely will appreciate future BC stays even more.
Anyhow, thanks again for all your advice and hopefully we will make it back in a couple years.
:)

If you choose BC you are closer to the Marketplace for the quick serve and other foods options. You are also closer to Epcot. And you would have a good view, although there is no guarantee that you will have a balcony to sit on so you can enjoy the view.

If you choose YC CL then it doesn't really matter that you are farther away from the Marketplace, since you have the lounge to get your drinks and breakfast items at. The walk to Epcot is just a little longer, but the walk to the boat dock and to Boardwalk is much shorter.

The rooms are just about identical between the YC and BC with just a little bit different theme. So that, in my opinion, isn't really a factor. You can't go wrong with either one. :)

Thanks for this. I think we may just go for the yacht club then.
Does anyone know if all club level rooms have a full balcony and what sort of view you would get from a garden view room, ( it's only offering me standard view and garden view and for the cost I don't really want to be looking at a car park).
