Garden view is our favorite because most garden view rooms face the wooded area between BC and Epcot. They also tend to be closer to Epcot because of the exit doors on that side of the resort. I enjoy having that quiet area for our room location after all the craziness inside the parks. :)

This is very good to know. ;)

Can you tell me about the deluxe CL rooms at the BC? We were booked in a standard view CL room for the princess half in February, but it wasn't available when I called today to get the RO discount. Instead we went with the deluxe room. I was told that it is on a different floor than the CL lounge. Is that going to be a pain? How is the view? Is the room larger? We have never stayed at BC, or any Epcot area resort for that matter, and the only other CL we have stayed at is Poly, but we are so excited for BC, and to have gotten a discount too!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for January.

:woohoo:

I haven't stayed in a BC Deluxe Room, but there is a thread with details and some pictures. There are several rooms in this category on different floors and we have tried to put as much description as we can.

Yes, they are bigger rooms than the standard club level rooms.

Beach Club Deluxe, Suites, VP and Presidential Rooms

There is also a post on the first page of this thread (Post #12) that has general info about BC and YC Club Level.

Thank YOU for the the novel-length post. We're headed for the world in Nov and staying at the BC for the first time. We've only ever stayed at POR. I love hearing about others trips and sometimes, I can't dedicate enough computer time to read a full out trip report. This was PERFECT! Glad you had such a great time! :goodvibes

FYI- I have a post on Page 2 with links to trip reports of various lengths. Some are the full-blown, multi-page type, but most are just short review.

:thumbsup2

I finally figured out BOG lunch & now have a time for 12:10-12:40p on Oct 30th!!! I'm so happy :cool1:! If youre still getting the error message like I was every time you log in, try using a different email. I read somewhere on the board that changing emails would work, so I used DHs email with our reservation # & lo & behold it worked!!! The funny thing is as soon as I logged in with his email the system it knew it was us with our reservation # & our names popped up. DH wasn't crazy about picking his meal now, but I'm getting the exact same thing I got on my trip with my aunt. :)

That is awesome! Thanks for posting the info about how you got it to work.

:)

In other news NM is busy preparing for her October trip. There is much planning and arguing over Food and Whine strategies and Halloween costumes. The boys are up for our Brazilian tour group costumes but no one wants to cart the flag along all night so it looks like a game of "hot Potato" is on with the flag being passed off on unsuspecting members of our touring party. This weekend we are gluing together the seventy teen billion fast passes the boys collected to use as a prop for our costumes. Next up I have to Google some Portuguese chants and sharpen my elbows for making my way through the crowds. The best thing about this costume is that our group will be able to go directly to the front of any line, all while repeating the phrase "No English" as we push past other line members. Now that they've taken away our faux Guest Assistance Card scam we have to work the system SOMEHOW! (BTW ;) ;) ;) this is ALL IN JEST so unbunch your panties and move along if you are wrapped too tight and are not getting the jokes) PSS. Missy and Franklin you are NOT allowed to steal my idea! :sad2:

Celebrating Hubby's 50th birthday and first time to Disney for both of us !

:welcome:

Will do!

Please let us know if you have any questions as you plan for your first trip to Disney!

:woohoo:

DH and I are booked at the BC for February. It's our third stay there, but our first trip to Disney alone without a child, children, grandchildren, or as was the case in January, all of the above including my parents! This time we booked a garden view. Any special requests I should put in? Happy to be back on this thread :-).

Hi

We are torn between the beach club and yacht club for next summer. There will be 3 adults and a 6 year old for 15 nights. Beach club would be a water view and yacht club would be garden view but club level. We will also have ddp as its free just now with UK bookings.

Which would you chose?

Stayed at the poly last year and loved it but the DVC building has put me off and it would be nice to be near Epcot and I love storm along bay.

Thanks for any advice.

Here's an official :welcome:

If you would like me to add you to the Be Our Guest list, please let me know your dates when you have booked.

:cool1:

So far we are living the BC and how close it is to EPCOT! My family (in-laws so you know this is impressive) think I am a rock star for planning this whole trip!!!! After a long 2 days so far, my DH and kids are still sleeping and I am on the balcony taking in a lovely view with my coffee! MBs continue to be awesome! At check in, they could tell DDs wasn't active and took care of it. Be warned that even with online checkin, you may be at the desk a while so they can make sure all the bands are set! EPCOT got crazy last night true to Teenas warning but we were fine all day with short lines. Today is a SAB day! MK later before and after Ohana.
Oh and here is my view. I booked LV and requested full balcony and lagoon vs pool view. I saw someone else post this same view pic and was desperately hoping I would get that view and I DID!!!

LOVE that view. My favorites are the ones where you can see ToT!

:goodvibes

Would you PM me what company you use please. Or you can post and see if they block it...

We used Ed Korgan travel in July for our trip from MCO to Hard Rock Universal and then from Hard Rock to the Beach Club.

:)

Did you not get KTTW cards in addition to MB's??

Most reports on this board indicate the resorts where they are "testing" MBs/FP+ are given cards as a "backup" in case of MB failure. That was not the case for you?

Not sure if I have given you a welcome here, so

:welcome:

Do you have an upcoming trip, or are you just hanging out here cuz its the cool place to be?

:goodvibes

I have on hold a YC SV CL room for next May..there are 5 of us so we can't fit in a LV. for $479 more we can do a BC deluxe room...what are the advantages to that room besides it being larger? Do i get a better view? Also, i am looking to be eligible for future discounts..are the deluxe rooms usually discounted?

thank you!

See my response a few posts back with the link to the BC Deluxe and Suite thread.

:thumbsup2

I'm in! Super excited.

We're staying March 8-15. We had booked the YC (love the full balconies) but the Visa discount wasn't available, so we switched to BC. We're doing the Deluxe dining plan again (DH's favorite part) and I just booked the Epcot Aqua Seas Tour for our "break" day. Has anyone done that recently (or ever? I'm doubting it changes much)

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

Bumping up your question about the Epcot Aqua Seas Tour

Good morning YC/BC friends,
I have a question. We just returned from our YC/CL stay Oct 1st. When we checked in, it seemed like I was correcting a lot of information. When we were done, I got the welcome package for another family handed to me. :scared1: I mentioned again our first names, last names, and that the name on this package isn't us. The name isn't remotely like our names at all. More corrections followed. I do remember the name of the CM who checked us in. She realized the big "oops" and went back into the computer to correct the odd merge.
Just yesterday, I received a an email from the photopass folks that was to this same family we were confused with at check in. It was sent to my email, but it's for the _____Family. Should I forward the email to someone? If so, to whom?

I have kept an extra good watch on my cc since we've returned. There have been no unusual charges or anything like that.

Many thanks for your advice. :goodvibes

YIKES!!!

:sad2:

Starting to get worried, I looked up availability for YC for our dates (just curious about how busy it will be) and it shows absolutely no availability for any rooms! Yikes! I was hoping it would be a slower time of the year :(

The EPCOT resorts tend to be booked pretty full during the Food & Wine Festival times.

The resort was pretty close to booked solid during my stay in mid-July. Never felt cramped. I was able to find at least 1 chair during each of my visits to SAB (it was only me)

Hopefully you won't find it noticeably :crowded:

we stayed at YC last August (loved it!) and are seriously considering returning to either the YC or BC in August 2014 but can't remember what I read about the room renovations. I believe BC first but wondering if there was a time frame and if anyone (Teena?) thought either resort would be done by late August. Thanks!

:welcome: to the DIS and to this thread!

Let us know if you do end up booking.

I have not seen any firm dates announced yet. That leads me to believe that the work will start later rather than sooner.

:goodvibes

Dee, please remove us from the BOG list. Unfortunately, I lost my job and had to downgrade the resort my family is staying at in February. But at least we'll be at Disney!

So sorry to hear about your job. Hope everything works out for you! I'll make the change.

Wishing you a wonderful winter trip!

:)

Good morning everyone! Sitting out on the balcony here at the YC. This SV has worked out great for us! We are 4th floor and overlooking the valet/ front of the resort. It is not a bad view and very quiet. I have not regretted downgrading us from LV/WV at all. I thought I would be upset we were not ground floor, but not at all! We have spent a lot of time at SAB and walking back and forth to Epcot and HS and over to BW gives us lots of time to look at that beautiful lagoon. I really am enjoying this view and will most definitely request it again! We spent the day yesterday at DD and had a great lunch at Earl of Sandwich. Then, headed to Epcot for some F&W and enjoyed a fantastic show by Sugar Ray. It rained pretty fierce for a bit, and the concert was temporarily postponed. But, thankfully, the rain moved out and the concert was GREAT! The weather felt great and we then decided to head to MK. It was PACKED! But that did not affect us as I had 3 FP+'s PLUS we still had the extra 3 ones apiece that they had put on MDE at check in when we had so much trouble with our MBs. We watched Wishes, ate at Pecos Bill, and then tackeled the rides. Headed back to YC around midnight. It was another Great day!

Thanks for your reports!

:thumbsup2

:welcome: back!

Congrats on your couple only trip!!!

Glad to have you back. I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for February.

Just a few more days and we will be WDW bound!!! Finishing up our packing tomorrow, except for the few things that have to be packed day-of.....like phone chargers and hair brushes. Been watching the forecast too....looks like mid 80's and very little chance of rain woo hoo!

Hi! Thanks so much for your live reports! DH and I get there tomorrow morning and cannot wait! We are hoping to get to DTD one day for Earl of Sandwich too. We planned on trying to see Sugar Ray tomorrow night and your post has made it a must do! I may need a nap (I am not a nap person though) to stay awake given the time I have to get up tomorrow to get to the airport! I think today I will get out my Illuminations CD...it always gives me the chills (okay call me corny haha) when I hear the booms before the start of the music! I just love that show and being a short walk away.

Wishing you another magical day!

Have a fantastic trip Kerry!:cool1::cool1:

Just booked my first trip to the Beach Club! I am a Polynesian Die Hard, but while it's under construction we are going to try elsewhere! I am really taken by the beauty of this resort and am eager to stay there!

Woohoo!:woohoo::woohoo:

Thanks Dee! I appreciate it. There's a chance I'll be called back to work if business picks up but it won't be for at least another 6 months. Hopefully, one day, we'll be able to stay at the Beach Club.

Is there really that much difference between the standard view at Beach Club compared to the garden view? Just curious!

I would always if available take the garden view over the parking lot view. We like to spend our mornings on the balcony sipping coffee and in the evening an adult beverage so the garden view is nice to have:thumbsup2

Lol :lmao::lmao: yes that is true Mike! I'm always looking to book, but with my impending move to Dallas coming very very fast, sadly December with Buzzy will be my last Disney trip until late October/November 2014 once I'm in Dallas. I will book that trip hopefully on one of my upcoming trips IF the bounce back is there. DH (Disney's newest fan!!) wants to go for 2014 F&W and stay at YC, so no DVC trip planned which is good more points for me to use!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

~N

So glad your DH is a convert. I know it was a relief for me when I converted DH :rotfl:
You HAVE to go see Sugar Ray! Mark McGrath is such an awesome performer, he goes out in the crowds while singing and makes sure just about everyone gets a chance to be up close and take pics, etc. You can tell that his fans and how they react to his show really mean a lot to him. We have been at SAB all morning, it is not crowded at all. I just ate a fantastic lobster/shrimp/scallop roll for lunch at Hurricane Hannah's. It is a very large portion! But while you are eating out there, watch out for the birds!!! They are crazy out there!!

Sounds like you are having a great trip. Thanks for the updates

Kerry - Have a wonderful trip!

I'm corny too - only its my SpectroMagic CD that makes me cry. How I miss that parade!

Thanks for the advice on the deluxe rooms. I think we will stick with the YC since the deluxe rooms tend to not be discounted too much.

Next Monday I will be sitting at BC relaxing. Can't wait!! I really need this short vacation & so many of my family are joining me. First time ever!! Might even try a sunken treasure!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if there is a Yacht Club map that shows where the different room views are located. I've seen a WL map like that. Hoping one exists for the YC.

Thanks Robyn. Yes that was a great parade!

I'm hoping to be sipping a Sunken Treasure sometime tomorrow! If I remember correctly we can credit you for 'bringing it back'!
