Hi I've been lurking on the Disboards for months now and figured it was time to join. I'm pretty sure we're doing our May 2012 VR @ Disney. We're leaning towards the Swan/dolphin for the ceremony and GF for the cocktail hour/dinner. I just talked to the wedding consultant today and she says we can't book until Jan/Feb at the earliest.

I'm pretty excited. We didn't get to have a wedding the first time, just a quick ceremony on the beach. We were planning a whole wedding but decided to postpone when I got pregnant with our son. Then our son surprised us with a heart defect and we gave up the wedding plans completely so we could focus on him. Now, 5 yrs later our son is doing really well and we still feel sad that we didn't have a ceremony with family and friends. So here we are planning a VR!

I just wanted to add my date to the list. We have chosen March 13 2012. I am very excited we have a hold on are locations. The wedding pavilion and Whitehall room and patio. The date is very important to us because it will be are 10 year anniversary. We are High School sweet heart

I'm kind of glad I didn't know because I would have been even more of a nervous wreck. Anyways, it will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2:30 pm in the Wedding Pavilion with a reception at the Living Seas Salon from 3:30 to 8:30. Woohoo! I hope GreenDisneyBride got her date set too!!!

We got our date and time too!! I called this morning at 8:03 and talked to bills assistant and he told me I had called so early none of the other actual consultants were in yet and he would call me later. Well he did and our sites are being held for us and we will talk to bill next week about the next step! We have the wedding pavilion at 5:00pm followed by a reception at the american adventure rotunda!

When does everyone plan on starting dress shopping? I'm dying to go but it is still so far away. I think I'm going to try to wait until we're a year out to start.

My wedding is exactly 16 months away and I actually already bought my dress back in oct. I was originally going to wait until this spring but I found it and I knew it was the one. Its never to early to start.

Wow that is great that you knew right away that it was the one. I'm worried it will take me a while to find the perfect one. I think I'll wait until after the holidays and start looking. I already have a whole bunch of favorites saved.

I went dress shopping just to get an idea of what shapes/styles looked best on me a couple of months ago. I am waiting until the year mark to really start looking in earnest. I didn't want to do it so early that I ended up changing my mind, but its never too early to look, lol!
