2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

My fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon in September of 2012

I have several questions since this will only be my second time going and will be my fiances first!
1. If I was to book the package now, with the Dining plan included, and then the free dining offer was placed later, would I still be rewarded with the free dining and get a discounted price? We want to stay at Coronado Springs and get the DDP, but would probably upgrade to the Deluxe if we could get the free plan.

2. With the DDP, an entree, desert, and drink are included. What would happen if we possibly wanted to order and appetizer as well? Could we get the free meal and just pay for an app? I am still new to all this so any info is helpful.

3. Anyone know of any places that make a great sangria in Disney World? They are my favorite! :cool2:
1. See post #175 of this thread.

2. Yes, you would simply pay out-of-pocket for the appetizer.

3. No idea. I do know that Magic Kingdom is dry and they do not serve alcoholic beverages there. You can get alcohol and/or mixed drinks pretty much anywhere else on property.

Thanks for the quick response! Brand new to the boards so just getting used to everything and reading threads.

I think I saw sangria on Via Napoli's menu earlier

And I am going to read your dining review now! I will also be a twenty something going to disney for my first time in a few years and my fiance has never been either, so I must read!

Time for me to get in on "The Great Wait". We've been to WDW 4 times and every time was with free dining, including this past Jan. We're hoping for the same in 2012 for another Bday trip for my DS. I don't know what I would do if I actually had to pull out cash or a debit card at a restaurant on property.

P.S. My son just finished 6th grade ranked in the top 6% of all 6th graders in America. He has missed a week of school 3 times to go to WDW, including this past Jan. I think the kids that don't do so well have the harder time catching up.

I was just reading this thread and I came across you're post and I just wanted to say Congrats to your son! That is an amazing accomplishment!!
He is defiantly going places!

We got alot of crap for going to Disney too. But we just aren't lay on the beach type of people. It wasn't the most "romantic" because we were so exhausted and tired by the end of the day, but we look back and have so many great memories from it. Plus I got a dis husband out of it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if he said that Disney wasn't his cup of tea; :thumbsup2

DH told me last night that he is pricing and considering a trip to WDW for the week of February 26 - March 3. Now.........let's see if free dining will be released for those dates.
We went in January of this year with free dining. I did not pay attention for February. Did the free dining offer extend into February for this year?
I am just wondering if we have a chance for February 2012. :rolleyes1

Hey guys,

Check this link out....looks like free 2012 dates are starting to roll out.:confused3

http://www.virginholidays.co.uk/special_offers/disney_diningplan/

those outside the United Kingdom shouldn't consider these offers a reflection of what the US/Canada offers might be. They're always very different. UK is sometimes offered room discounts in conjunction with free dining - US never has been. Also, no free dining at value resorts if you book at UK offer; QS free at moderates, regular dining free at deluxe resorts. The dates also differ - there are fewer blackout dates for UK visitors.

I plan on booking my vacation through AAA for sept. of next year. Any have advice on which choice is better?

1. Book the vacation without the dining included, which will give me the AAA room discount, and wait to see if the free dining comes up, then add the free dining which would cancel out the AAA discount. If it isn't offered, add dining on after.

or

2. Book with the dining plan already included in the package, still putting in place the AAA discount on the room, then take advantage of the free dining if it becomes available.

Didn't know if it made any difference if the dining was already on the package or not,

Us in the uk would love free dining at value resorts!

We got this year 42% off sir and okw for certain dates as well as free dining

They have been out for next year for a few months now

I went ahead and booked our 2012 vacation last week so my fingers are crossed for free dining.
We just returned on the 12th and we had free dining for the first time ever and it was very nice to say the least!!! :thumbsup2

Did you book your package with or without the dining plan already included? I am trying to figure out if I should book with the dining, and then swtich it to free dining later, or do it without and add it on if it becomes free, and if not just add it on anyway.

Julie, I went ahead and booked the dining when I booked my package. You can always get the free dining if/when it comes out for your dates- all you have to do is call!

If you're going to use the dining regardless, I say just go ahead and book it!
