2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

Now back to the free dining offer watching. Also where are all of you thinking of staying and where have you stayed? Favorites and why?

Great question! I've only ever stayed at POP Century all five trips and am desperate to try something new... I am thinking Coronado Springs or Port Orleans (either one is fine). We want the Quick Service Plan so hopefully we can still get that for free if not staying Value. Otherwise I'll just have to convince DBF that one table meal a day isn't a colossal waste of valuable park time :thumbsup2

we always stay at the cabins. Love the campground, it is sooo peaceful and quiet. 2012 we are staying at POR RIverside since it will just be 3 of us. I will so miss the campground. Hopefully we will stay there for our 2013 graduation trip and I will get to bring the new granddaughter :)

Sorry everyone, my intention was not to cause a fuss. People are entitled to their own opinion with regard to pulling their kids for vacation. I know some topics can get touchy, but we shouldn't be condemning others just because we necessarily don't hold the same views. I am sure many factors are considered by families who do take their kids out of school for vacations and as such we as Disoholics :lmao: cannot truly understand their circumstances/reasons. Personally I find nothing wrong with pulling your kids out for a vacation and would do it if our principal didn't have a problem with it and our situation allowed it. This way of thinking isn't for all and I respect that, to each his own.

we'll be at the Poly - for our 4th time!! That's the only place we've stayed as a family, we just fell in love with it! I stayed at the Fort campgrounds on my first ever WDW trip when I was 8. We'll be going as a Grand Gathering. BIL, SIL and nephew - most likely will stay at BLT, if not, they may be at the Poly. Our friends and their children are looking at POR or CBR. My other BIL may come down for a few days as well, not sure where he'd stay, possibly just add him to one of our rooms for the time he's there.

This is one of the many reasons we love homeschooling. We actually count the days at Disney AS school! My kids (and my husband and I) are learning about other cultures, math, sticking to a budget, animals, history, geography....all kinds of things! It's fantastic! :yay: So parents, take heart. Even if your children aren't sitting in their classrooms at school, they are still learning at Disney.

As for where we're staying, this time we're going to stay at Coronado Springs. In the past we've stayed at All Star Movies. Ready for a change! And hoping that free dining is offered for February!

Subscribing. We've been to WDW 16 times and this past trip was the only time we were able to take advantage of free dining. I sure hope that Disney decides to offer free dining the last week of May/first week of June again in 2012.

Subcribing. 2012, we are going with my parents which is their first trip. I'm very excitted for it! I think we are still debating over Poly or YC. We'll see!

Hopefully, FD comes last week of Sept/ first week of Aug. With so many adults, we'll come ahead with FD than other discounts.

So far only stayed at Pop and we did really like it. For our upcoming family trip we are staying at ASMo since the kids will still be little and I think they will like all the HUGE movie icons. My DH and I plan to go back for our 10 year ann. and would love to stay at the Poly. However I have made myself a promise that even if I have to sell everything I own I will stay at the Beach Club some day :lovestruc

We are hoping for free dining in 2012! If we don't purchase DVC before that time. I'm thinking we might try POR. Our baby will still be only 2, so won't "count" yet- but it was pretty tight at CBR with him as an infant. He didn't want to sleep in the pack and play and it was very tight trying to squeeze all 5 of us in the 2 full sized beds. I think a trundle would help immensly. DH stays at CSR for business all the time so always likes trying other places even though they have queens.

Time for me to get in on "The Great Wait". We've been to WDW 4 times and every time was with free dining, including this past Jan. We're hoping for the same in 2012 for another Bday trip for my DS. I don't know what I would do if I actually had to pull out cash or a debit card at a restaurant on property.

P.S. My son just finished 6th grade ranked in the top 6% of all 6th graders in America. He has missed a week of school 3 times to go to WDW, including this past Jan. I think the kids that don't do so well have the harder time catching up.

Hoping as well for first 2 weeks of January 2012. We had it last year so fingers crossed.

My oldest son will turn 10 prior to our next vist and wanted to know whether or not we still would qualify for the free dining plan given he's now qualifies as an adult (assuming its offered). Any feedback on this?? Would it cost us extra or is it a greater benefit (i.e. 3 adult and one child DDP vs. 2 adult and two children)?

Thanks!!!
Keith
