2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

I found the same add here and we are about 2 hours away from Canada . Every time I click on it I still get the same rate I have now. I am going to call I can't take the wait and the dates fall on when we are going.

I called nothing and cm acted like I was nuts . She tried to tell me it was not a real Disney web site. I explained to her it was but it did not have a code on it . I asked if it could be a Canadian site she said the dates did not match the they ran for Canada . So I am hoping they are getting ready to drop a new rate or special for us .

has had me holding my breath for the past 3 weeks. The OP says she got free dining from HOME (not a bounceback) for late Aug-Sept while living here in the US. The last poster acknowledges that it is within the bounceback period from the flyer in front of her at OKW. The action made me think FD was imminent but still nothing until that little web blurb posted by HockeyMom.

Those dates are not free dining dates... and the link isn't a free dining rate. Those are just the "value" season dates, where you can book packages are value rates. It's full rack rate, but they are just trying to demonstrate "how cheap" it can be --- when it's value season, and you break it down per person, etc.

This......... Why is everyone ignoring this post? This is the truth.

I have heard this more than I have heard negative things about AAA but once I get burned like that I never forget. I am glad that not all AAA agents are like the one I used. It would be horrible if they were. And I doubt Disney would allow them to continue to be an authorized Disney planner company. And it would figure that the one single time I let someone else do the planning this would happen. I only went with AAA because they claimed to be giving "perks" that Disney doesn't along with the ones Disney gives out. It turned out that the "perks" were just the vouchers that Disney gives. :( And the discount from AAA was only $160. NOT worth it for me.

That's awesome! Have a great trip! I know the little one will!:cool1:

wow, that stinks that you had a bad experience with AAA. Our AAA office is great. I had someone cancel out on us the day we were leaving for disney and my girl got me both tickets refunded. We were driving so i think we were within the 48 hours of arrival. This year we did save 400.00 going with AAA. I am one who hates to have anyone handle things for me too, but her I do trust. We have used the same girl now since 2006. only 332 days to go!!!

Why so late, from what I read, this is around the time they would announce it.

Not sure where you've read that but statistically they have announced the late Summer FD promo (Aug/Sept) around May 2nd. Then if, if, they extend it into the winter they'll announce that one around late July or early August.

I have every faith that the discount for August and September will get announced around the beginning of May. They may end up canceling the usual early winter discount (Sept thru Dec) but I hope not. :sad2:

Hmm maybe I misread something. I thought I had read somewhere this was about the time they announced free dining for the following year. Must have been mistaken! Thanks for letting me know :) I am very impatient though so I don't know if I Like that wait. :rotfl:

I'd believe Mousesavers before Mouseplanet. And I could not find the info on that mess of a page at Mouseplanet.

From Mousesavers:
Check in dates:....Discount:................................................ Book by:
8/24/08-9/20/08 - package deal ("free dining") for general public - 4/10/08, exp 6/22/08
8/16/09-10/3/09 - package deal ("free dining") for general public - 3/30/09, exp 6/21/09
8/15/10-10/2/10 - package deal ("free dining") for general public - 5/3/10, exp 8/14/10
8/28/11-9/24/11 - package deal ("free dining") for general public - 5/2/11, exp 8/27/11

In August of 2010 they did do an extension for 2011 but that was a one time thing they did. It will be between Early April and Early May next year before they announce it being extended (if they even do it) through September. Sorry. Some people see something happen one time and they run with it and get upset if it doesn't happen every time at the same time. Don't pay any attention to other sites if they say that the offer was extended every year around this time because it wasn't.

The problem with the past Spring offer was that it was chained to buying the $90 Photopass package...still some saving but not exactly a top bargain.

If you were just 2 people saying in a value resort for 4 nights..... That photopass book really ate into the savings.

If you were a family of 4 Disney adults, staying at a mod for 10 days.... The $90 really wasn't a noticeable difference.

how about for a couple (2 adults) staying in a mod for 6 nights/7days?

Very roughly... Free dinng would be worth approximately $600. A bit less if you aren't fully using it. Minus to potential $90 for the photo book.

my mom is there this week. she got a fall free dining offer last year i think it was good thru oct 2011. your trip had to be booked by december 2010. fingers crossed more than ever this year for free dining. prices have gone up and DH had to take a job with a huge pay cut in March since his unemployment ran out :( i still havent booked for aug 2012, going this week :)

We just scored the free dining promo - checking in on the VERY last day it was available (march 29th)... making my niece miss a day of school for it :) but it's worth the $$ we're saving!
very excited!
