Thanks for the wonderful tour Pixarmom. Makes me glad we requested close to lobby.... Sure hope we're as lucky as you!! ::yes::

Thanks Pixarmom! Keep them coming! This will be our first trip to the BC and I need to know all of the secrets and get my wayfinding down.

Hi again! I'll start working on the BC Marketplace updates, Flat Ben's adventures and SAB photos soon, but I also posted a mini-review of MNSSHP in case it's helpful to anyone visiting soon: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=46418710#post46418710

Great pictures Pixarmom!

Thanks for the tour. :thumbsup2

Hi JanetMom! Glad you enjoyed them! Makes me happy to share them!

Pixarmom-beautiful room, great location. Did you have fun sitting on the balcony watching the activity outside your room?

Hi jwwi! Yes, we really did! It was perfect for everyone - I was out there early in the morning (cheers with my morning coffee to fellow BC early bird, Dee!) and in the late evening. It was especially nice in the evening because each of the boys would step out individually to chat with me for a while. (OK, they were supposed to be sleeping, but I'm a pushover for a good conversation with my boys.) Great to have that individual time during a busy family trip! During the day, it was really fun for all of us to be right in the middle of the action!

Wow pixarmom....Great pictures and great location. I've always wondered what it would be like and glad one of our 'family' got to experience!

Coming from MickeyT, that's a big compliment! I wish I could do better with the settings on my very simple Nikon Coolpix S8000. When the kids are grown, a photography class and new camera is first on my to-do list! What are your resort plans for January? I know you and your wife often do split stays. Although the problem with trying all those other resorts is that each member of our family of five develops their own opinions and preferences - making it harder to return to my favorite BC!

Thanks for the wonderful tour Pixarmom. Makes me glad we requested close to lobby.... Sure hope we're as lucky as you!! ::yes::

Thanks, Clarabel! Hoping for a great location and lots of pixie dust for you!

Thanks Pixarmom! Keep them coming! This will be our first trip to the BC and I need to know all of the secrets and get my wayfinding down.

Hi 1971DBday! So glad they were helpful - makes me happy to see, post and share them! As I mentioned above, we try and return to many different resorts, but BC will always be my favorite. Hope you love it as much as we do!

Great pics pixarmom! Looks like a wonderful room.

If you look across your balcony, on the 5th floor, the last room that has the outside light on is one of our favorite rooms! We had it in 2010 and 2011 and had the room next to it this summer.

Hope you are having a magical trip!

:rolleyes1 :tiptoe:

As much as I love the BC, I'm cheating on her this January. I'm going on a date with her more mature and mysterious sister, YC. Please don't snitch on me. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::lmao:

What's in it for us if we don't snitch? pirate:

If I were you, I'd put a boatload of Oreo Bon Bon's in a rather large brown paper bag and label it " 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 3- August, September and October 2012 thread".

That just might ensure our silence.... at least until we are hungry again! ;)

Hello BC/YC fans! SNIP There are many things I loved about this second floor room: 1) full balcony; 2) so close to BC Marketplace, it was unbelievable; SNIP but we REALLY loved just hopping down the stairs to the lobby.

Was it so close that you could....say, tie a rope around your refillable mugs and lower them down from your balcony for a refill??

The good thing about using the rope method is that in the morning the CM's can loop bagels and donuts through the holes and onto the rope for a really quick breakfast! ;)

Thanks for the great report! It really put a wag in my tail! :ccat:

Update: Mom is getting near the end and we all have been spending quality time with her. She is at peace with everything and we are just keeping her comfortable. My Mom is the type of person who is the ultimate caregiver, so she was feeling a little awkward being on the receiving end of all that care. We were able to get her to accept the fact that, just like she got all that satisfaction from taking care of us, we are getting SO MUCH satisfaction from helping her! :thumbsup2 It's all good and the family has really come together over this. Thanks to everybody who has been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

I have been thinking about you and your family. Thank you for the update :grouphug:

Awesome pics pixarmom!!!! Is it possible to be close to the lobby and close to the Epcot side??? (If that makes sense)....that's what I would like to request. :goodvibes

!

My camera was a to do list thing. I kept waiting and waiting to buy one and a dear friend asked me to think of the shots I was letting get away because I was waiting. Grandson loves all sports and we love WDW so what two better subjects to photograph. Had it a year now and still feel like I'm just beginning to learn.

You have our resort strategy down to a T. Marathon Week in January has us trying a 1BR at BLT for four nights, justthe DW and me. Sunday-Wednesday. Then Thursday-Sunday over to a 2BR at BCV. Sisters and Husbands all joining us again. 5th annual. Can't wait.

And then we are doing the West Coast repositioning cruise on the Wonder next May. Then on to Alaska leg the next week. I will have to pm you some questions (ask for tips) as the trip gets closer.

And thanks for all your menu/resort pictures. No telling how many guest you have helped in their planning.

Thank you pixarmom for the MNSSHP report. I am going to check it out since we'll be attending our first in jusult under 3 weeks.

Thinking of your family and said a prayer for your family.

We did this split in May and really enjoyed it. We felt like it was the best of both worlds.

WOW! All these pics are getting me so excited:cool1::cool1::cool1:
Thanks everyone for sharing:thumbsup2

NINJA MOM - you are in our thoughts and prayers

Pixarmom: :worship: Those are simply lovely pics. We were on that exact same side in September. My only complaint was hearing those little Disney cleaning mice with leafblowers at 7:30 in the morning out by the back doors. :lmao:

NM: Sorry about what you've been going through, NM... my best wishes and thoughts to you and your family.

I am enjoying all the pictures! Keep them coming.....

To all who aren't feeling and/or having a bad week, I hope better times are coming soon.

NM, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

To all at BC/YC, Have a wonderful vacation!

Pixarmom: Wow! I love your pictures! Your room location is absolutely phenomenal! Pixie Dust is alive and well at BC.

NM: I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please know that I am praying for you, your mom and your family during this time. I'm sure your wonderful sense of humor is bringing a smile to your mom's face just as you bring a smile to all here on this thread. :grouphug:

Ninja Mom- I am so sorry for all your mom and your family are going through. It is heartwarming to know that the final moments have been comforting to everyone. Wishing you peace and sending love.

pixarmom- fantastic tour around the Beach Club. That IS a great room!!! We had a similar room on our first stay at the BC, overlooking the courtyard. Mark LOVED the people-watching from there.

Teena, are you getting sick of Flat Ben yet? How would one put that on a resume?

"I am repeatedly asked to hold up cardboard pictures of a boy who is not related to the people who brought him and I manage to conjure a magical smile":

Flat Ben is headed back to BC for an afternoon swim break. But first, a visit with Teena!

But according to the rumor mill, you may be spending some more quality time with Flat Ben soon!

What is going on with the negative reviews of BC? I saw one on a thread that sounded so outrageous, wasn't sure if it could be true! Not worried after seeing Pixarmoms beautiful pics but was just curious if housekeeping on a daily basis was difficult. We will be there in Dec.
I have to say, I love this thread. I read it almost everyday. Don't contribute much but I enjoy reading everyone's posts.:)

NM - please know your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad that you are able to be there for your mom - I'm certain that it is a comfort for both you and her.

Good Morning Y&BC peeps!

Let's do a virtual wake up and look out our balcony moment.

2011BeachandYachtClubTrip103.jpg

Which park are we gonna do today? We need to get going if we're gonna make rope drop! You got the camera. C'mon. Let's go.

I'm loving the virtual trip to YC/BC. You guys rock!! What a great way to wake up this morning. :)

NM: {{hugs}} You and your family are in my prayers. I'm glad the family is coming together through it all. That is so important. More {{hugs}}
