Quick hurricane question: if the hurricane does indeed hit Disney, will BC have activities going on for the kids in the Solarium? I have read that during hurricanes, other posters have been confined to their rooms for 24 hours. Is this true for deluxe hotels, or do they alllow guests to roam the lobby, etc? We fly in tomorrow, so I'm just trying to be on the safe side if Isaac does come through!

Just guessing here.

But the solarium has an awful lot of windows. I would imagine it would be closed if a hurricane hit Orlando straight on, or even if the tropical storm force winds were severe enough.

If you're worried about it, stock up on cold cuts and bread, bottled water, and muchies. It would be a short time, maybe a day that we're talking about.

We were at the WL during Hurricane Jeanne. We were "locked" in our rooms for large chunks of time. We were allowed out at certain times, based on the storms trajectory, and there were activities for the kids available.

I'm almost certain they gave us food to eat in the rooms but I'm not 100% sure that it was complimentary...

Invasion of the pod people- I mean machines. The in-room coffee makers are no longer the Mr. Coffee type, they are the Cuisinart pods. This will be a huge adjustment for me!

We had a fantastic day with only 15 minutes of rain during our photoshoot around the resorts.

The only downside of the day was our meal tonight at Yachtsman Steakhouse. First they did not know it was our Wedding Meal (hmm strange as I can see it quite clearly on my side of the booking). I was in a seat at the window and was getting no cooling from the AC and started to overheat, I ended up sitting outside the restaurant and the manager brought me a cold cloth. I had left my filet after two bites and when I went back was asked if I would like it re-heating. I said yes and the server brought it back out to me in a takeout box not really a lot of use! We had dessert and left soon after with our undrunk bottle of wine. The service and food at Captain's Grille was far nicer last night.
