LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!
Hey Paul! We need an update about Pastina!!! Spill it brother!
It wasn't Paul!

It was TEENA at her especially reserved VIP table at the Feature Pool area. Pastina was sacrificed to rid the world once and for all of those pesky continuously amorously attached bugs.

Poor poor Pastina. Some of her best friends were Love Bugs! :rotfl:

I am a runner/waddler. The last three years I have done the half-the full and the half at WDW. Me, DW and 2 sisters and BIL's do it to together. Really enjoy spending time with them.

Guess the fractures just built up over time and then I stepped on it wrong. We were at a high school football game and when I got up to walk it felt like someone stabbed a knife through my foot. Gotta wear the cast for at least three weeks but at least the pain is minimal now. We are all registered for marathon weekend in January (doing a relay) so just need to heal up and go.

Mike, so sorry to hear about your injury! Take it easy and take care of yourself, my friend! Hope you are back in running/waddling form soon.

Dee

Wow! You guys have done a great job!! Thanks for the info, it'll be our first time at this resort and I'm thinking it won't be our last!!:thumbsup2

Would you like to be added to our Guest List on Page 1? What are your checkin/checkout dates? Which resort?

...... Take it easy and take care of yourself, my friend!
Dee

:goodvibes Can't do it. Taking a bus load of 'senior' church ladies to the Asheville NC farmers market today. Just gotta take my 'boot' off when I drive!:drive:. Livin Life and Lovin It!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

You just had me :rotfl2: I hope that it heals fast for you and you can still run in January. My youngest (Nathan 7) is just starting to take up running. He ran in a fun run a couple of weeks ago that was a 1/4 of a mile. This weekend he is in a kid's marathon that I believe is 1 mile. His oldest brother will run with him to keep me sane because it is in an area new to him and I don't want him getting lost! I am so excited for him. All 3 of our boys love baseball. In fact Nathan's team is in the championship game tonight!! But there is just something about watching them run that gets to me. I think that it is so individual. I am so happy that Nathan is taking it up too. Now if I could just learn to run more than a sprint it would be that much better. Walk/ sprint/walk/walk/walk. That's me.;)

Miabug,
We had issues with buses at the GF last year. Mostly to do with DTD and AK. We have stayed at POR many times. People complain about their buses. We had no complaints. To be honest I think they were worse at the GF. Maybe it is because we were comparing to the speed of the monorail. That may be what people do at BC. Compare to the 5 to minute walk to Epcot. Then get frustrated when they have to take the bus to MK or AK. But no resort is free of buses to somewhere. I am so looking forward to our first trip to BC and I bet you will have a great trip too! Besides BC has Teena!! Hopefully we both will get to meet her.:)

Here is our plan for our upcoming trip. Do you mind looking it over and giving any input. Saturday and Sunday are a bonus for us since we are now flying in a day early with an earlier flight than we would of had on Sunday. The benefit is fitting in AK and DTD without affecting any of our other day.

Destination: Beach Club resort
Start date: Saturday Feb. 4th
Traveling companions: Nate, Dad and Mom
Goal of trip: extra days for extra fun

Day 1
Saturday
arrive on the 11:50am flight. Checkin to BC at around 1pm. After checkin take bus to DTD. Will give time to eat and go to Lego store for Nate’s Birthday and any other store we choose. Also, would allow for time at the Disney Quest indoor amusement park. Do Lego store first so we do not have to carry packages around Disney Quest. Find something to eat at DTD. Get back to
Resort after dinner time to relax and prepare for
Sunday morning at AKL for Nathan’s birthday!!

Day 2
Sunday
.Go to Animal Kingdom after a to go breakfast. Spend day there. Go on the Dinosaur ride for sure! Then be back in time for Dinner reservation at 5:30pm at the Cape May Café.. Then Superbowl in room or Epcot at night. Maybe have a special cake delivered to room or Dinner for Nate.

Day 3
Monday
morning is Epcot. Dinner is at the Garden Grill. A family-style character meal by Soaring. We can take a break during day if needed.

Day 4
Tues
. Go to Hollywood Studios. Lunch at Sci Fi where you
Eat in a car and watch old sci fi movies. Try and get a piece of grapefruit cake at Starring Rolls. Chuck wants to try this.

Day 5
Wed
. would be spend at Magic Kingdom. Lunch at Liberty Tree at 12:20pm.
Do not need to stay for fireworks. Plan to see them on Friday night. But can if we want and then get to Epcot earlier on Friday night.

Day 6
Thursday
is the Builder’s Show for Chuck. Nate and I will explore Boardwalk and the other resorts nearby.
Maybe go to Hollywood Studios for a couple of shows missed on the earlier trip.
Go to Epcot at night for the interactive buildings and activities there. No Dinner reservations.
Eat at the World Showcase somewhere.. Or Beaches and Cream.

Day 7
Friday
will be day to go to all of the headliner’s that we want to hit again.
Concentrating on Epcot. Dinner is at the Kona in the Poly resort at 5:45pm.
Stay at resort until fireworks show. Watch the fireworks from the Poly Beach.
Maybe even stay to watch the electrical Magic parade. Then monorail to Epcot.
Epcot is open till midnight this night. Stay as long as we like.
We will be able to sleep in the next morning.

Day8
Saturday

Use our last day to relax and hit anything that we missed during trip
Or favorites that we want to hit one last time. No meals scheduled.
Able to eat at Epcot World Showcase counter service if we so choose.
Maybe try different things from different parts of the world.

Day9
Sunday

Fly home

Note: Hope to take midday breaks pool and relaxing if the weather allows. This is our first trip staying this long. We usually only have 4 park days. Hoping that this will allow for a more relaxed trip. Epcot is our favorite resort now and on other trips we were only able to enjoy the rides and not all of the interactive things that I know that Nate will enjoy. We also have never done Disney Quest. We are not dying to do it but getting there a day early gives us the opportunity to see if we would want to spend more time there one future trips.

Thanks for any input that you can provide!!

Your plan looks fantastic! I wish I could come ;)

As far as disneyquest goes we went once and it was enough for us. We enjoyed our time there I think we stayed about an hour to an hour and a half. But keep in mind we did not have children with us. So maybe someone with kids will have a better opinion on it then me. we had the water park and more option so the admission to disneyquest was included.

Excellent! Adding you to December

Mike can you update your list, too (when you are back from your bus trip)

Got back wed night from a great stay at YC CL. Yesterday was laundry and back to the real world - yuck - so just now sitting down to post.

Check in (sat am) was a breeze and we even made it to DHS am emh before rope drop . It was pouring down rain but we made the best of it.

We were in connecting rooms 5170 and 5172. Very close to lounge (the 2nd and 3rd rooms down). Our view was of a tree and the parking lot. We were just to the side of the main entrance (toward the bus stop). When I get a chance , I will download my pics to photo bucket and upload here. If I can figure out how to do it, I am going to add Ryan Reynolds to my trees (marlton mom - can you help me out ?) 5170 didn't have a daybed but 5172 did.

We didn't ever stay in the lounge long as our rooms were so close . Side note - the area that the cast members used to restock etc was right across from our room. It didn't bother us but it may if you have small children who nap or if you are a light sleeper. We turned the ceiling fan on for "white noise" and wasn't bothered by that or the buses .

Every cast member we encountered was polite and helpful (if needed).

Finally got to meet the amazing Teena! She is a wonderfully sweet woman and we had nice chat about our families. So glad I had a chance to meet her.

Oh, nd we had both a Bible and a phone book.

I'll try to get the pics up this weekend but not promising anything. Leaving today for Chattanooga for a tennis tournament for my ds13.

Despite rain sat and part of sunday we had a great time. MK til 2 am Sun night/mon morning, monday mnsshp, blizzard beach (i now have a bruised butt from the summit plummit!), food and wine, - you get the picture (even though i haven't posted any ;))

My husband showed me this on facebook, it is on the Mousemiser page. Maybe Teena can confirm? I hope it is true it would be nice to check email and anything we need to do while we are there this Christmas...

I do not know if this is true or not but I was told last weekend by someone that it would also be available for free in the lobby. If someone is in the lobby and tests it while I'm working Sunday and Monday, I'll report back.

Just had to share... my magical express tickets came today!!! I will be getting more mickey mail in a few days because of the way I booked the package. This is fine with me because I LOVE the mickey mail!!!

YAAAAA HOOOO! Free WiFi! I don't even care about the free part, that's just a perk!

So excited...

Got an email from IPO today. I'm kind of rethinking CL as I know at least two mornings I want to do character breakfasts... I'm so torn! It's a LOT of money... I only booked CL because our cousins that are going too said they were booking it, and then they changed their minds and booked a one bedroom suite at BCV. What do you guys think? We are planning on spending lots of time at the resort since we are there 10 days.

Once for DisneyQuest was enough for us too. We have gone to WDW as a family 3 times and always with the Water Parks and more Park Hoppers, but we never tried DisneyQuest until our last trip.

Our son was 13 so it should have been the perfect age for it. He was old enough to wander around in the place by himself and young enough to be interested in the games. My son is very quiet and patient which didn't work out so well there. He spent most of his time patiently waiting to try the games that others were taking way too long at. When he did get on to a game he didn't find them that great, compared to his video games at home.

My son has no interest in returning.

Overall it wasn't a bad place, but once was enough for us.

With our next trip to the YC we didn't bother with the Water Park tickets since we figure we will enjoy SAB and don't need DisneyQuest.

I would keep it. You still have 7-8 other mornings to take advantage of breakfast. (Don't forget to grab a cup coffee to go on your way out to the character breakfasts!) Plus, it is convenient to grab a drink and light snack to bring to the pool. Not sure when/where your dinner ADR's are, but we always have our appetizers/wine in the lounge and then our entrees out (with some more wine of course! ;). Plus, most nights we try to grab a quick bite of dessert before the lounge closes for the night.

Also, I forgot to hit multiquote but we feel the same way about Disney Quest as most PPs have said. It was a great day to spend a rainy day last year, but definitely not a must do for us. Plus, there are height requirements for some of the activities there (the Buzz Bumper Cars come to mind). DS is tall for his age and wasn't tall enough at 7 for a lot of that stuff.
