About the doors..

They are not magnetic so the magnet thing won't work. I did not see any doors decorated so I don't really know if this is the thing to do at BC....

Good luck.

~Marlton Mom

PS. Thanks Dee for catching that noodle update necessity.... I missed it!

Teena, I'm so glad to hear your good news!! I am arriving at the BC early Tues morning, and was wondering if you are working then. I am looking forward to finally meeting you. I will be there from the 11th to the 19th. See you next week!! Debbie

Amanda, I hope your son is ok. It is really hard on parents when their child is ill. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I normally only work on Sundays and Mondays. Have a safe trip to the BC and I'll see you soon!

Hi all! We are down here now. Flight left on time and we arrived half an hour early! Magical Express line was for Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk and Port Orleans Riverside-no one for YC, so drop off order was PORS, BW, BC. It took about an hour from the time we got on the bus to the time we got to the hotel. We were greeted with a big “Welcome Home” the instant we stepped off the bus. I did online check in, but our room was not ready (at 10am), no big deal. We left our bags with Bell Services and went to Marketplace. Looked around for a bit and bought two refillable mugs.

We knew we wanted Beaches & Cream for lunch so at around 10:30 we walked over there (got a little lost on the way, but a nice CM by the pool redirected us). Since we were ready and waiting promptly at 11, we were the ones to open the restaurant for the day! Lots of clapping and cheers! The food was delicious and the service outstanding-thanks Dolores!

After lunch I wanted to go swimming, so we went to get our suits from Bell Services and pick up the noodles. The noodles were there, no problem-I was not expecting so many of them plus the extra buckets and things! It seems they are catching on to us, but was not a problem.

Of course, immediately after we leave the luggage room it starts pouring. It stopped, I changed, thunder comes in. Pool closes. We waited for about 25 minutes, then headed to check out the villas building. Mom took a nap in the Breezeway. Beautiful room! I waited a bit then went back to the pool with the purple voluptuous noodle. It was opened, so I explored several different areas, went down the slide, and then relaxed in a lounge chair on the beach for a while. When I came back around 2:15, I had a text from Mom that we were in villa 321 (a studio connected to a one bedroom).

We are on the third floor (obviously) and overlook the walkway between the Solarium and the BCV entrance. The room is very nice, spacious, and less gaudy than online pictures make it look. My favorite aspect so far is that the couch is one unit and the blankets and pillows are stored in the couch! Our suitcase from ME was waiting and after a call to Bell Services, our other luggage arrived not long after. I’m currently sitting on the balcony uploading pics. We have dinner at Cape May Café at 5:30, then plan to explore the Boardwalk and the Yacht Club.

Sounds like a great start to your stay. Sorry that your room wasn't ready earlier though.

Oh, since I know a lot of you are curious: Renovations are currently at the YACHT CLUB. There is scaffolding up on the first section of rooms next to Beaches and Cream on the SAB side of the building. There also appears to be some work going on around Hurricane Hanna's (at least, that's what the walls say between the "Deep Section" of the "Lazy River" and the building. There also seems to be a bit of work going on in front of the Beach Club, there is a piece of equipment near the ME drop off area, and the area between that stop and the Port Cochere is blocked off.

How many noodles are we talking about and who is catching on to us?? What did they say about the noodles? If it's getting to be too large of a pile we may have to thin the herd...

Thanks for the great report. Have a wonderful vacation!

Teena, so glad to hear the good news.:banana: I will stop by to say hello to you next month. It will be nice to finally meet you. We are staying at the Poly for our entire vacation this time because we couldn't get a discount at BC.

When will you be there? Bob and I are making up for all the lost time this year that we couldn't travel and are heading to LA for a Disney Wonder cruise in early November.

Trying to update the Page 1 Guest List and Noodle Swap info.

I'll add you to 2012 Noodle Club, with hopes that it is not just random bits of colored foam you are signing up for by then. :goodvibes

Everyone else, please take a moment to look at the Page 1 Guest List to see if you are listed correctly (or even at all)! I fear that I once again may have missed one or two of our new posters in the last week or so. Thread has moved wicked fast lately!

Hi Nat!

Our reservation has been confirmed for next the villas next September. We will be there 9/2-9/9. Woohoo!!!

If you don't mind, please add us to the noodle list.

Actually, the phone list wouldn't be bad idea either. :rotfl2: First, Teena steals all the phone books from CL. I'm sure she'll be heading to the villas next! :scared1:

I definitely will need a phonebook while we are there!

I also pm'd you in case you can't keep up with this crazy thread!

Thanks Nat!

There are six noodles, three "voluptuous" ones and three "skinny" ones. There is also a bag attached with sand buckets and shovels and things in it. I said I needed one of my bags and "Also anything that has the name Noodle on it, which I don't have a tag for." The CM helping me was clearly confused, but another CM said, "Oh they're over there, a big stack of them."

There's the stack in our room (disregarding the shoes :rotfl:).

Oh no! We fly out on 11/5 and don't return until 11/14. I normally only work Sundays and Mondays so it looks like I'll miss you.

That's too bad - we missed you last year too. Maybe there will be a really good bounceback offer in the room and we can come back in the spring. Enjoy your trip - you really deserve it after this year.

Hi all. I'm in total shock, because I've been planning a solo trip to WDW for Marathon Weekend since this past April and already booked a room at POR. I was talking to my mother about it tonight, and she let on that she had no idea I was doing this (even though I told her about it months ago :lmao:) and she wants to join me! This is HUGE because she hasn't been since 2004 and I'm so excited to share this with her.

We spent a few hours in front of a computer, and our resort choices are between the Yacht Club and the Poly. We're leaning toward YC :woohoo: and I was curious about the different view categories. My mother likes the look of the Boardwalk, and it would be really special to see it from our balcony. Unfortunately, there doesn't see to be any guarantee of a lagoon view. Should I just go with Garden View and save the money?

Ummm- Where's Pastina???

I see a skinny red noodle in the photo. Has all that yoga been paying off?

Or did she find the secret fantasy closet and is taking a much needed mommy timeout?

All set. Added you to the Guest List too, if that's ok.

LOL That's pretty much what my mom said. I quote, "Wait, wasn't there a Mom, Dad, and two kids? Weren't they all the same size? Why are only three of them one size now?"

The skinny noodles are red, orange, and yellow, and the thicker ones are green, blue, and purple. :confused3
