I would like start by saying that I love, love, love both YC and BC...and Cl at both. I am a loyal fan. I find this thread amazing and wonderful.

Just wanted to note that the poster who didn't like BC Cl (in a separate thread), well, you sort of have to understand his vibe. Not exactly the average poster. I'm cutting him some slack because I like to hear all voices, even unique ones -- perhaps especially unique ones. 'Nuf said (by me).

Teena - have a great time...and that little girl is so cute!! And the Disney themed clothes -- awesome. :thumbsup2

Vive le YC/BC!!

Vive le YC/BC!!

Lily is a sweetheart and such an easy baby although today when Jeanne dropped her off at daycare, apparently she got to experience her first "blow out". Lily and the car seat were covered with Lily Poop. I remember those days!!!! I'm trying to be sympathic to Jeanne but in the back of my head I keep thinking, "payback is a .......". Oh how I remember Jeanne's first Easter outfit, right down to the white tights and Jeanne's first blow out. It was everywhere ... down the tights, into her shoes, ... all you Moms know what I'm talking about. It's funny to think that now my little girl is cleaning up the same thing with her little girl.

Yup! After she/he trashed the BC in her first post, she continued to remember other things that also bothered her...no phone book and no robes were added later on along with some other things.

OMG..... for real? Did I miss it?..... Really.... REALLY!!!!!
Holy cow batman!
I've got some reading to do....

The thing I will never be able to understand is how they get it in their shoes..... and they are WEARING them!!!

That Lily is quite the lil Pooper, first the angry towel pooping and now the "I don't wanna go to daycare" poops! Remind me not to get on her bad side!

I love the YC & BC, but everyone has different opinions- we stayed at the Contemporary and HATED it- but that doesn't mean that someone else doesn't LOVE it.

Thats why there are so many different types of hotels-:banana::

Yes, and thanks MM, for helping me stick to my diet. :lmao:

:rotfl2: yer welcome, and if you'd like, I can post an excessively large file of that picture suitable for framing and hanging on the fridge to help some more.....

PS. I'm up to date on the BC Club Level rag fest and I just have to say that the clown slide at BWI SCARES me!
So there! Pbbbbtttttt....... :p

When are you going in December? You never know, my birthday is in December so maybe instead of a Disney cruise, we'll book the BC again.

We will be arriving on Dec 14th with DGS. Have a studio for two nights and then DD, DS and his fiancee (he finally made an offical proposal Saturday!) will be arriving on 16th and we move to a 2-BR. BCV's here we come!

Hello to the Yacht & Beach Club community!

After having stayed at the rest of the on site resorts over the decades (except for the Values, and curiously the Cont) my birthday posse and I (2 rooms, 8 folks) will be staying at the Y&BC this December (17th-23rd).

Thanks to all the great information in this thread I've already learned quite a bit but I was wondering what 'Garden View' rooms people felt were best. It looks like you can get quite close to EPCOT - but that puts you at a distance from the Lobby - but maybe that's a good thing?

Also since I would like to have the 2 rooms as close as possible - perhaps I shouldn't try for the most popular floor/section just to stand a better chance of being adjacent?

Welcome Bstanley....Both garden views are great and have their advantages. We like close to the lobby/elevators. Seem to use that more. Will get you added to December trip list.

Thank you for posting the picture IN A MUCH SMALLER VERSION again.

MM.....Can you go even smaller. Thanks.

Phew, glad to come back here with all you lovely people... :) Most of the complaints on the "thread that shall not be named" were LAME. I can't post though because I haven't stayed there yet! LOL

Teena, so glad you got your ADRs and ENJOY the trip!

I couldnt get my DD anywhere near that clown slide at the BWI! Someone showed her a scene from It (Pennywise, anyone????) and she's a bit off the clowns at the moment. :lmao:

I have to say that I would prefer CMs in CL who didn't chat with me unless I started chatting with them first. I can't be the only one???? Especially in the morning, pre coffee. :rotfl2:

Pre coffee God help even the dog if he should happen to so much as look at me.....(I just know he's mocking me for my enormous bed head and dragon breath!)

OK, a Harry Potter and Stephen King reference in the same post, along with a shared devotion to morning java! You and me would get along just fine, my friend!

Marlton Mom---You absolutely crack me up!!! :rotfl2: The "mankini" is now burned into my brain....I'll probably have nightmares tonight! I also really liked your response to the thread where the OP wanted to be sold on YC/BC! :thumbsup2

Thank you for some much needed comic relief as I finish my packing. Those nightmares will probably involve suitcases dressed in mankinis. One more shift at work tomorrow, then when DD8 gets off the school bus, we're hitting the road for our southernly sojourn! BC---here we come!! :yay:

Now it's clowns? First evil green mankinis and now CLOWNS?

You are an evil, evil woman, MM. Evil, indeed.

:rolleyes1

(although that IS the reason I've never even considered booking BWI. Seriously, I hate the clown that much!)

I wonder if they have a booking category called "Clown View"?

Dude, I wish I had come to this thread before responding to the 'sell me on yc/bc' one. I about died when I read MMim's response.

I need some experienced opinions on where would be a good place to grab breakfast on the way to the parks. We will be staying at the BC for two days in December and the YC for four days. We have previously stayed at the YC and tried the Marketplace, but it was pretty chaotic. Are there other options for a quick, grab breakfast and go?

Thanks so much!

Well some people, OK 1 person, likes Boardwalk's club level for breakfast (and Phonebooks!), but since you are not staying there that probably won't be an attractive option.

I'd try here:

The Ale and Compass is located just off the Yacht Club Lobby.
In the morning, breakfast items are available like coffee and tea, pastries, an assortment of cereal and fruit.

This and other detailed info is posted on page 1 thanks to the hard work of List Maven Dee. :thumbsup2

You could also consider schlepping over to the Boardwalk Bakery but I hear the lines can be epic and they tend not to have any phonebooks :confused3

If you are going to the parks, Magic Kingdom has that awesome bakery on main street, Hollywood Studios has Starring Rolls and Epcot has the Boulangerie Patisserie in France but it doesn't open until 11am (and still doesn't have any phone books!).

Personally speaking I don't go to Animal Kingdom so I don't know if they have anything for breakfast but I'll bet they have something like a squirrel omelet or a buffalo burrito.

BON APPETIT or as we say in the States Nom, Nom, NOM!
