Well, at least the boys will still stay at the CR. Is the BC their favorite because of SAB or because of Epcot?

In response to your question about the boys, all three boys (ages pre-school to pre-teen) say that BC is their favorite in part because of SAB. It's just amazing and they love so many different areas of SAB - our pre-teens still hang out in the kiddie areas with their little brother quite a bit!

They also love DHS, so the ability to walk there for rope drop in the morning makes them feel like we're ahead of the pack - and we usually are!

They are huge Illuminations fans and we have lots of dinner ADRs in Epcot. BC makes that easy, and the quick walk home means more time at the pool for them in the evening!

They also like the theming - our boys and I love the beach, so that's a factor.

And it's the only resort where we've stayed CL - so I'm quite positive their enthusiasm for the breakfast, snacks and dessert in the club lounge is another factor! The CL CMs at BC are wonderful and the lounge is very kid-friendly. They really enjoyed the taffy outside the lounge, so Neil sent them home with a small bag of taffy - they literally rationed the taffy from Neil when we got home. That was a big hit, and the first thing our oldest asked about BWI CL (we're staying there before BC in August) was whether they have the taffy! Also, our oldest son was in the lounge when he discovered he lost his knight's shield from MK (it fell off our youngest son's stroller.) A BC CL CM said not to worry, they would replace it. A few hours later when we returned from dinner, there was a replacement shield lined up against the wall in our room with his brothers' swords and shields.

Finally, everyone loves Teena! We met her in person about a year ago during our quick summer trip, and then when we arrived in February, Teena had already talked with my mom and it was like a big reunion in the lobby! Teena is a factor for even our pre-teen boys because she definitely knows how to talk with kids about Disney! The boys remember her fondly because she really engages them in conversation - not all CMs know how to do that so well with pre-teens. It makes them feel even more welcome!

BTW, the number for BC private dining on page 1 has a typo , it is 407-934-8000, not 974. Just for anyone looking to call.

It is going to turn out perfectly. What a great surprise to come back from a birthday at the park to a cake in the room! Try and catch his face when he sees it!

The CL CMs at BC are wonderful and the lounge is very kid-friendly. I love this community y'all have, and can't wait for our BC vacation. Based on your advice, we made the upgrade to a Garden View, and requested ground floor. Wish me luck! October 29 is so far away!

I did have a question a few pages back that I think has gotten lost in the shuffle. For anyone going soon ... Can you check Marketplace shop prices on a few grocery items for me? I know prices might change by the fall, but at least I'll know ballpark what to expect. I'd be EVER so grateful!

Thank you! I'm trying to decide whether to order a few things from Garden Grocer. After their delivery fee and new fuel surcharge, I think we might as well just pay the Disney prices for our few in-room essentials. I know we can use DDP Snacks for a couple of these things, but we'd like to save those for the F&W booths!

Finally AP rates came out, and pretty dissapointing We had booked BC with the GP rate earlier in the year, and added DDP. So basically the AP just let us take off the 2 one day park tickets. Not the great AP rates of last year.

I can live with it, at least I won't be stuck with 1 day park tickets, but def. not the 42% AP rates of the past.

And BCV has no AP rate.

If you don't mind my asking, what % did you get taken off for the BC???

Ya know..... I've been hearing about the "Tag Fairy" for years and I have yet to see anybody get plastered. Sure, the Tag Fairy was around years ago but I think the Tag Fairy is DEAD!

And that Fart quote... Between the dog, my 12 year old son and my husband I am surrounded by proficient and prodigious farters. What is it with MAN and Beast and the farting???

None of the 3 have any shame about the farting either and they never have any second thoughts about sharing them with Mom. 50% of my yelling at them is because they dropped a bomb on me without having the DECENCY to move away.

The best is that just about every time you tell the dog to sit, you can hear him squeeze one out as his 'buns' hit the ground. WTH!!!!

OK, so here comes the Beach Club content. It got so bad in the hotel room that I had to insist that my son go OUT on the BALCONY and fart. Then he had to fan his shorts..... because if he didn't, he would drag the leftover fart back inside the room!!!

How's that for a visual?

Another reason to request a full balcony at the Beach Club!

Perhaps you can 'word' your request like this: "Family of farters making Mom Miserable, Must have Balcony for respiratory relief!!!"





So there ya go! Another life or death issue solved by the Superheroes here on the BC/YC thread!

Not sure- It wasn't listed with the usual % off Value, Mod & Deluxe. They don't say what the % is, so I'd have to do the math- not my strong point
But I beleive I booked GP at 35% off in March. Had the MYW & Dining pkg, then switched to AP + Dining pkg and only saved $144, less then the cost of 2 one day park tickets, which was what I had to add on to the MYW pkg to get dining, then was able to remove with AP pkg. so? Maybe it was 30% ???

Orig. res was for 5 nights MYW + DDP $1905 incl. 2 one day park tix
AP + DDP pkg was $144 less.

Yes, better then the full price. Guess I was expecting a better then GP rate. AP rates generally were in the past. This is the lowest AP rate I've seen for August. Usually it's 42% off deluxe. But as you say, better then rack rate for sure!

Hey, I'll be there (August 2-5) for vacation so I'll see you at SAB!!!! I'll be working August 1st and then checking in myself on August 2nd for 3 nights.

My ex husband from years ago..we were toghether from 95-2008...Well today is his new wedding day. I feel a little lost. I dont hold a torch for him...I just feel blah. He cheated on me (we have a dd and she is amazing). I take her to dis every year since she was 4 she is now 9. I just needed to chat. No love ther anymore just "what did I do wrong" type scenario...even tho he cheated on me. Ugh ick...I need to be in DISNEY now with pixie dust to not worrry or feel anything.

Certainly understandable that today would bring up some intense emotions, even if you have put the past behind you. Do something to treat yourself today. Without guilt. Buy something nice for your upcoming trip. Or enjoy a hot fudge sundae with whipped cream and an EXTRA cherry. And know that some long-distance pixie dust is being sent your way.

Think of it this way - before the recession hit we were lucky to get $100 a night off a deluxe - no % just a standard $ amount, sometimes it was only $80! It wasn't bad if you were staying at AKL or WL, but BC, GF, Poly the AP rate wasn't nearly as good as it's been in the last few years!

Understandable to have strong feeling today but no need for the "what did I do wrong" feelings!!!!!! You did nothing wrong! You should treat yourself today get a mani/pedi buy a nice bag or cute shoes, just don't sit around and think (sometimes we can be our own worst enemy).
