Natebenma:

Thanks so much fo the offer to help. Please send me an email address in PM and I'll send them right over.

I think they will be helpful so everyone can see what the room looks like with the daybed folded out.

thanks again.

Thanks for sending the photos!!!

Here are a couple of great pictures showing the daybed made up as a bed courtesy of sgtgoofy119

If you don't have any objections, I will post these two the front page- I have daybed pictures (as daybeds) in a couple of places- in the Beach Club info and Yacht Club info sections

NOW, the only picture I am missing is the rollaway cot.

Anyone have a picture of that???

Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Not sure how I'm going to do 3 days ... the radiation is taking so much out of me and it's been hard to push through the 2 days a week.

Ah, Teena, please make sure you get the rest you need. Radiation is brutally exhausting. I fell asleep at the dinner table of an expensive Manhattan restaurant one night during mine-- I had been looking forward to that dinner for MONTHS.

Take care.

You're absolutely right. Coming home from radiation one morning last week, I just missed this one traffic light ... it's so long. So, I put the car in park and rested my head against the door and the next thing I knew the cars behind me were honking ... I fell right asleep. When I'm driving, I'm real careful ... I put my Disney CDs on full blast and sing loudly the whole time I'm driving ... no resting of the eyes!

natebenma: The view that I posted earlier was from rooms 5177 and 5179. That view is not zoomed in at all.

Also, just to let you guys know, we did the Wild Africa Trek too and if anyone is considering doing this it is absolutely worth it!!! We loved the special tour and really felt like it put us right in the middle of the safari ride on such a personal level. Definitely a one of a kind tour.:woohoo:

Oh my! That is scary. Please take care of yourself, I'm sending positive thoughts your way.

I also wanted to thank you for the heads-up about SWA December bookings being out there already. I was just on their website and I need to decide about our December dates so we can book our flight to New Orleans.

Room 4057, Y/C is me Dee. Great view right on the elbow of the Y/C right next to the turn in the walk-way around the boat rental docks. Small room but probably the greatest view one could ever hope for (everything from the boardwalk at night to the fireworks in Epcot). It was small (in perception only I suppose) due to the slope in the ceiling and the balcony being "enclosed" by a portion of the roof that sort of had you looking out a large cut out circle.

Katesdad

Now I remember!!! Thanks. Actually, when you sent me the pictures, that was when I decided to start my collection!

BTW- I have just started a new collection, of Amazing Private Dining Cakes, inspired by YCFAN's posting.

:woohoo:Hi everyone I've been lurking here for quite a wee while now and just wanted to say congratulations to Teena on receiving her Presidential Award (for helping at Jeanne's school). You looked so chuffed in the photos I saw. Well done Teena and congratulations -you deserve it!:woohoo:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Did I miss the photos? Someone who was there when Teena received the award posted (yesterday?) that they would post them.

Sadly, although EPCOT is my favorite park, we don't spend enough time there for my liking, even when staying at the BC. We always plan our schedule around the early EMH park, and the last two years we stayed, there was only one at EP each week. But we do make a lot of very quick trips in throughout our stay

Here are a few really great things about the location:

if you want to come back from MK via the monorail, you can hit a few attractions in EP or grab a FP for later on your way back to the resort

if you want a quick, yummy CS meal for lunch, you have a world of choices just a few steps away

it could not be any easier to view Illuminations and be back in your room before 9:30

We avoid the DTD return bus to the BC by using a bus from one of the DTD resort buses to EPCOT (see page 1, Transportation for more details)

YCFan---I am in AWE of everything you did for this trip. If you ever want to extend the family, we are in! I know your kids must be so thankful for it all.

Teena--Good luck this coming week. Take care of yourself and congrats!!!

Everyone--Happy Memorial Day!!!

Question---Does Private Dining do custom cakes for Cape May or only the Yachtsman Steakhouse?

I guess because of the age of our children we were at MK more even though we were close to EPCOT. We were there for 5 out of the 7 days for pretty big blocks of time.

Wow! YC fan, what a great trip you gave your family!! :goodvibes

One question : was the Pirate Dessert Party at Epcot a grand gathering celebration you signed up for? Or something like the Wishes Dessert Party that anyone can book? And how did you go about booking it?

Thanks for the info!

Disney Momx7:

Not sure where you got the info that Room 5637 is a standard view room. Our view was definitely not one with any rooftops or parking lot. The view from 5637 overlooks the main pathway/garden that leads to Stormalong Bay. We could even see parts of the pool from our balcony. We paid for and reserved a GL room and that is what we got.

Also for those who want to see how much room there is with the daybed opened up, I want to attach a few photos that shows the size of the daybed. My 19 yo son had no problem on it. But I cannot figure out how to attach or paste in a photo. Help anyone?

The information came from a room assigner. She was telling me how crazy it was - some sv rooms had just as nice a view as a gv room while some where definitely parking lot or roofs.

I double checked and 5637 is still technically listed as a sv cl room, just one of the nicest ones!

YCFAN - WOW!

Now why couldn't you have saved this for July when we could have crashed your party?????

My hat is off to you - what a fabulous celebration.

Can't wait to see your Grand 1 pictures.

Now you have to do this all over again when Andrew graduates!
Hmmmm - I think I remember my youngest ds being exactly the same
age as Andrew. We'll have to plan a joint celebration when they
graduate from college - 12 years from now!

Congratulation to your ds - what a wonderful celebration and memory!!!

I am starting to try to pack :cheer2:, and I wasn't sure if I should pack beach towels. Are towels provided for the pool area? Thanks! :thumbsup2

No need to pack extra towels, they are provided at Stormalong Bay.

Hmmm- does anyone know if there are towels provided at the quiet pools? There are no lifeguards- are there any CMs stationed there?
