Has anyone ever order chocolate covered strawberries and had them delivered to your room at BC? If you have, how much does it cost?

Continuing on the wristbands...just curious, do they issue different ones (different color) every day?

Yep they do.. my daughters wrist/arm looked like a rainbow! It was the week of wristbands from all over!!

Too funny!

My dd (13) does this too. We're there for two weeks so I make her start taking some of them off. She saves them for the whole trip though!

Teena - I didn't know you were a "star"!!!!

I don't know how long ago that was but you still look the same!
Hope you are feeling better.

Things are no better/no worse with my Mom.

We'll be at the BC June 4-10!

DD is turning 2 while we're on the trip, will she get her own room key to let her into SAB? I worry the wristband will bug her, does she get one or since she's so little will they let her off the hook?

TIA!

Children under 3 don't get a room key. I don't think my 2 year old got a wrist band last summer but I honestly don't remember!

I have a couple of questions as I am counting down the days to our stay....

1. Can children wear life jackets and still go down the slides at SAB?

2. How deep is the pool the the slide dumps into?

3. Do all the bottom floor rooms have patios with table and chairs?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

My kids were allowed to wear life jackets on the big slide last summer. It seems that it might be life guard dependent because I had read on the DIS that it might not be allowed.
I don't know the answers to the other questions. Sorry.

Just wanted to send along my prayers for everyone who is ill or worrying about ill family members/friends. Or anyone having a rough day/week. And I hope those with upcoming trips have super magical trips to Disney!
I'm super busy at work (and home) right now but I'm thinking of all the wonderful people here even when I don't have time to check in!

The depth of the pool at the bottom of the slide is 4 feet. Here is a picture of the sign with the slide rules (math pun not intended) :teacher:

Don't miss the kiddie slide in back of the big slide. I didn't even know it was there until after I returned from my second stay at the BC. There are a couple of great pictures taken by others on page 1 of this thread (SAB section)

I don't know the answer about whether all rooms on the first floor have patios with a table and chairs. Anyone?

From the great information on here I already know that we get the wristbands when entering Stormalong Bay. Well I was wondering are they easy to take off and put back on, because what if we decided to swim in the morning and go back later that day. Personally I don't feel the need to wear the wristband all day when I won't be there, so has anyone done that before or will we be given a new set of wristbands?
It's not that easy to get on and off. Just bring your room key and get new wrist bands!

I know the ones at YC do!

My son was issued a wrist band when he was 2. We needed to show our room key. Wristbands bug us too, so I had them put it around our ankles.

Those wonderful IPO CMs emailed me early this morning (way earlier than I thought they actally start working :confused3) with all my ADRs, they got everything for me at the exact times I asked for.

They've never let me down in all the years I've been dealing with them :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Now my ADRs are made it seems more 'real', just waiting for the F&W festival info to be released, really looking forward to staying at the BC for the first time.

They are the best!! I used them last year for our F&W trip and I to was amazed at the time that they emailed my reservations on the 180 day mark!! They did the same when the time came to book the F&W stuff.

My 180 mark is May 23rd for my big trip with all the tours, dinning, golf lessons and spa days... I sent in the plan Monday and heard back right away that it was all entered into my portfolio and they would be emailing me when it was booked. I asked that all the times be as exact as possible because tours and dinning along with a daily golf lesson and the possibility of overlap and they told me not to worry they won't let things overlap. I'll report back once its all booked!!

So happy you got everything you wanted and the times you wanted

Nervous about trip ...

I am going to book the BC for the last week in Aug . This has been a huge decision and my travel agent is away this week till Friday . I am going to go with the BC but am nervous ... I am going away with three teenaged girls !:scared1: We are going for my DD who just turned sweet 16 this Aprils birthday . this is the only time we can all go so with the free dining offer I am all set to book . My thing is will kids this age like the BC ? Is it too young for them ? they dont want to do Universal as they all have been at least once since HP opened and they want to do WDW . I picked BC for the pool and convience of Epcot !

Also never did free dining or stayed at the BC we always stay at the family suite at the ASM or at the PORS . Is there a quick cafe type place for breakfast ?

I feel like I spend hours doing this :surfweb: to get ready to book this !! LOL .. I want it to go well for her ! She is super excited about it :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I think I am almost ready with my ADR choices as long as we can get into some of these places . Wish me luck !!

The whole Boardwalk area is great for teens! And you're close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. They'll love it!

Hi,

The wristbands are the kind with the sticky tape and are waterproof. If you pull on it you can get it off with no problem. When you go back to the pool you'll need to go through the process all over again to get into SAB.

When we were there in October, DD26 kept all the bands on for the entire stay... sometimes I think she forgets she's an attorney and 26.. but it is Disney so we all revert back to children to some extent when we're there I guess!!

Hope this helps!

~Nannette

 that's funny! I hope they are easier to get off then the old EMH bands, I could never get them off, and had to go to gift shop and ask for a scissor!

Your big trip sounds amazing Nannette, I'm sure you'll get everything you want :)

I'm not patient really lol - I'm climbing the walls because until the F&W schedule is out in the open I'm not sure whether I'll have to rearrange things.

Tenna,
I happen to be looking at videos on YouTube of the Beach Club and found one with you in it, so just wondering have you seen this before?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGStEDsUgXI&feature=related

Thanks for posting the video! Nice to have a face to put to the name for those of us who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Teena. And sadly, looks like I won't this next trip late Aug, as Teena plans to go visit her daughter!

I think that bloomer outfit Marlton Mom designed would look cute on you Teena :laughing:
