We're back from our wonderful stay at the Beach Club. I did get to meet Teena on our arrival day (Congrats on your new granddaughter!)

We had a garden view room and I had requested a full balcony facing Epcot and that's exactly what we got. It was perfect because it was halfway between the lobby and Epcot. I loved sitting out on the balcony at night listening to the music of Illuminations and watching the high-level fireworks. I did online check in and our room was ready upon our arrival at 11:00am.

We spent a lot of time at SAB and even when it was crowded, it never felt that way. There were always some chairs available, especially on the YC side. We also used the quiet pool a couple of times and that was nice. I actually preferred the hot tub at the quiet pool over the ones at SAB.

The construction was not too bad. There was some going on near our room, but it did not disturb us at all, except for the morning when we were leaving and they were right outside our room. You can also see some scaffolding at the top of the BC facing SAB.

The only negative was that housekeeping did not come one day. They came in the afternoon when we were in the room and we said that we would be leaving soon if they could come back later. The housekeeper wrote something down, but when we returned to our room later that night, it had not been cleaned. After that, I called to have them come in the morning when we were usually at the parks.

Overall, we loved the BC and would stay there again.

Glad you had a nice trip. We booked a GV room too, and have requested a full balcony. Really hope we get one. Your room sounds perfect!

We are really looking forward to SAB. Good to hear you didn't have a problem with chairs.

And lucky to have met with Teena, fun!

Love the photos! Whetting my appetite for our Aug visit. Nice GV well, at least you got the full balcony!
But where's the pics of our seceret closet/suite? With the stollen, er- borrowed CL drinks & snacks? Hope you hid some for me
Pics of what to look for with laundry room very helpful. Going to try to do laundry our last day at POR by quiet pool- after 7 days I think I'll need too but may have to do more at BC for last 5 days. Esp if I didn't get to it at POR. You know- best laid plans & all that.

What an amazing stay @ Beach Club Resort Had a difficult time getting the children out of the pool, best pool in our opinion. Love the scent in the lobby

Thank you so much for providing the photos I asked for. In the very near future, I will be adding these to the front page.

First, I need to review my trip photos. I have just uploaded my pictures from memory cards to my computer. I have 2181 raw photos for a 5 day trip. Many are throwaways- I snap the picture and ask questions later! I don't do any postprocessing- I gets what I get.

I love digital!!!

Hi Everyone! Just booked August 3-10 at the YC Garden View. Never stayed in the EPCOT area before. Booked a Garden View and not sure what to request except high floor, no elevators, not near a smoking area.

We are so excited. DH, me DD19 (celebrating her going off to college--Aurora University in IL) and DS16--the ultimate Disney lover (after me). The kids can't wait. It's like they are 12 again. I guess Disney still is the ultimate family escape!

Would love your thoughts, pics and pros and cons on rooms.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. Love the thread!

Do they have a safe at the YC CL desk/check in area for valuables that won't fit in the room safe or is that only available at the front desk?

I've always taken an old laptop that I wasn't overly concerned about if something were to happen to it, but I will be taking a new one this trip.

Thought I would ask this again to see if anyone returning recently would know.

Finally we found out that if you smother these critters in syrup or jam, they just disappear! So our problem was solved!!

Now if you should encounter an infestation of these pesty carbohydrates, you'll know what to do!

Sorry to inform you but you can't eat your way out of these little suckers. They keep coming back over and over and over....... You may have to look a lttle but they are there!

YC CL lounge question...Do they serve the same basic morning and evening fare every day??? For example at the GF there are always bagels and oatmeal...but different breakfast buns and muffins each day...

Thanks so much for the information on the rooms and views! I will definitely be requesting an Epcot facing view from the IPO. Too bad no giant golf ball possibility, but seeing high fireworks would be awesome.

Happy Saturday! My DS and DH are off at a family member's cabin riding quads with the same family that we are vacationing with. The boys are sharing and doing well and I want to make sure they spend enough time together that they will be excited for the vacation together in the spring. The boys are the same age (their DD is younger, ours is older, but our DD is great with her). Hoping that our kids will all agree to a night at the kids' club some can have an adult night...

DH says we can only do CL with a discount so I'm still hoping and praying that something comes through!!!

Hi there, we will be there at the same time celebrating DD's graduation (off to NYU) along with the rest of the family. Hope to see you by the pool--look for the noodles!
