It's much smaller than a lazy river at a water park and you're right....no rafts given out. Do they really do that at the WDW water parks? It's been years since I've been but I remember inner tubes. Anyway, some in my family just float around it while others do use noodles. Some people use the inner tubes which can be rented. If the noodle swap is full, the Marketplace sells noodles these days and I think they are also sold at the pool. Happy SAB dreaming.:cloud9:

Quite honestly, I don't remember if they do that as the Disney water parks... it was more of my experiences at places like Wild World (ok..ok.... Six Flags) and Kings Dominion / Bush Gardens, etc.

Thanks for the clarification! :thumbsup2

I wish it was September already......:rolleyes1

They do have tubes in the WDW water parks just floating along the lazy river. You just grab a non-occupied one and go. They stay in the lazy river.

Hi. Glad you're joining in the fun. :grouphug: You are going to love BCV. What a peaceful choice for a honeymoon. :cloud9:

Helooooo and welcome! :welcome:

How very exciting to have a Disneymoon! Make sure you get some "Just Married" gear and/or pins.. might get some extra pixit dust!:wizard:
Thank you for the welcome! We will be getting married at the Boardwalk so it should be quite festive! Not sure how "peaceful" it will be with 50 of our closest friends and family there as well but, we did not include BC in the room block... so at least we'll know we will have some peace. We are very much looking forward to sharing our favorite place with all our guests, just not our hotel. ;)

Time to muscle through this thread! :surfweb:

Just had to share with peeps who would appreciate...booked YC for Sept. 19!! Whooo hooo!! Our favorite resort in the World!!!

:thumbsup2

I have not made it through this enormous thread yet but, just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone! DF and I will be staying at BCV in a studio next February for our disneymoon and I am over the moon excited to finally be staying here!

Welcome to the Y&BC family! If you want we can add your dates to our 'Trip List'. Just let us know. (And FloridaDreaming will be the first Feb Diser!)

First February Diser!? Heck yeah! Add me to that list! 2/21/12-2/27/12 :woohoo:
Ah, I feel at home already. Just wish I could smell the lobby... :cloud9:

I'm here at relaxing at SAB! It's been a great trip so far! Beach Club is amazing! In 2 days, we've been to all 4 parks and managed to swim 3 times already- weather is extremely hot and humid! (to be expected, I know!) We've had some great food at Biergarten, Yak & Yeti, and Mama Melrose's! Tonight is Cape May and I can hardly wait to eat all that delicious seafood! I couldhardly believe how close the walk is to Epcot! Wonderful! A perfect excuse to eat a caramel from Germany every day. I did try the chocolate croissant from the marketPlace and it was delicious. The crowds are pretty bad, but taking advantage of FP has helped! Just thought I'd let you guys know! I loved hearing live reports! Also, we had a standard view and we face SAB with a roof view- not too bad! Construction us barely noticeable! As far as I can tell, they are working in tiny little sections- not anything to worry about!

Exactly!!!! Please eat a caramel pecan bar for me before you leave! (My story about transporting a Karamell Kuche pecan bar home and my run-in with FAA rules later . . .)

Thanks for posting "live from BC"" Hope you continue to have a wonderful trip! :)

Maybe this has been answered already but I couldn't find it. Has the movie schedule for august been posted yet?

Thanks

:lovestruc I love live reports!!

We're back from our wonderful stay at the Beach Club. I did get to meet Teena on our arrival day :) (Congrats on your new granddaughter!)

We had a garden view room and I had requested a full balcony facing Epcot and that's exactly what we got. :goodvibes It was perfect because it was halfway between the lobby and Epcot. I loved sitting out on the balcony at night listening to the music of Illuminations and watching the high-level fireworks. I did online check in and our room was ready upon our arrival at 11:00am.

We spent a lot of time at SAB and even when it was crowded, it never felt that way. There were always some chairs available, especially on the YC side. We also used the quiet pool a couple of times and that was nice. I actually preferred the hot tub at the quiet pool over the ones at SAB.

The construction was not too bad. There was some going on near our room, but it did not disturb us at all, except for the morning when we were leaving and they were right outside our room. You can also see some scaffolding at the top of the BC facing SAB.

The only negative was that housekeeping did not come one day. They came in the afternoon when we were in the room and we said that we would be leaving soon if they could come back later. The housekeeper wrote something down, but when we returned to our room later that night, it had not been cleaned. After that, I called to have them come in the morning when we were usually at the parks.

Overall, we loved the BC and would stay there again. :thumbsup2

Hello! We usually get our movie schedules from buildabettermousetrip.com, and they are typically pretty accurate. They usually post schedules for each month around the 1st or 2nd of that month, and then Dee posts the schedule right here on the BC/YC thread. So if you check buildabettermousetrip.com and the first page of this thread at the beginning of August, it should be there!

September 2011 :teacher: (MickeyT)
Vinotinto Sept 2- Sept 7 YC

Hi! We've officially changed our dates from Labor Day to Columbus Day. Our new dates are Oct 6 - 10 (can we please be updated in the roll call?). I see multiple DISers will be there at that time. :yay:  We had such a good pin code for September (sad we could not apply it to entire Oct stay), but we decided we really missed F&W last year when we went in September and we did not want to miss it again. This will be our shortest Disney trip yet (4 nights), so we'll have to pack into it as much as possible. Seize the day! Live large! I've never seen Illuminations, and this will be the year to do it. Yeah! I'm also determined to make it to the campfire. And we will not miss the pool games in the afternoon (my DS loved those in 2009, I hope the still do them. I have an awesome picture of him trying to do "YMCA" - he was 4 at that time). And, we plan to hit F&W the minute we get into WDW and snack our way through the booths. :woohoo:

Ya know how Homer Simpson gets that far away look in his eye and the drool runs out the corner of his mouth and he goes "ummm Donuts..."

THAT!!!!

It is in EPCOT in the Germany area, with a door opening right out on the main walkway. and they are the most incredible things! Melt in your mouth good!
