i agree....some seriously yummy stuff:thumbsup2

We also got the German Chocolate version of the bar and it was soooo good.

We wanted to try the apple, but they are so big. I saw that they would cut it into pieces for you. But still a lot of apple for 2 people

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the double post, but I wasn't sure which thread to post this in.......

We are booked in a Water view at BC for July 23-30 for 2 adults and 3 kids. We are trying to change our room to a CL room and all that's left is Lagoon View CL. Which is fine with us, but we were just told that none of those rooms will accommodate 5 people. We asked if we can just pay for the Club access and get a regular room which will accommodate 5 and the CM said No. He can't book 5 people into a Lagoon View CL room. :confused3

Is this true? or should I just try to call back and get another CM? Is there anyone I could call to ask about this? We don't really care about the actual room....just want club access for food.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Unfortunately, this is true. There was some discussion awhile back that this may be changed but when we went in May as a family of 5, it was still the case.

I know nothing about 5 in BC Club Level rooms but I did check Disney website and this is quoted as available at YC Club Water View:

Bedding combinations vary, and can be any one of the following: one queen-size bed and a day bed, 2 queen-size beds, 2 queen-size beds and a day bed, or one king-size bed

Now if the two queens and daybed are available this late I don't know.... but thought it might afford you an option.

Lucky for us, we are really a family of four. We added my niece on to our room in case she wanted to spend a few nights with my daughter since they are the same age. I didn't want to not put her on the room and "get caught" with an extra person in our room. I guess I will just have her parents add her back on to their room since they are at BC as well, and we can book the upgrade to Club.

Thanks for letting me know.

That's what I saw too, which is why I was confused and didn't believe the CM at first. :confused3 He told us that the 5th floor (lagoon view) only had 2 queens, or a king and a daybed. He also said he couldn't even manually book the Lagoon View CL with we had 5 people listed. Luckily, it's not a big deal for us since the 5th person is my niece who's parents are staying at BC too. I just thought it was a strange policy, specially since we are willing to pay the extra money, and just stay in a regular category room!

Thank you!

I am too excited about this vacation. Nobody else except you guys can get it!!!

I know this has been answered, but can anyone take a second and help me with these questions?

1. We have booked CL GV at the BC. Can someone confirm that these are all full balcony?

2. Are any of these rooms Epcot facing?

3. If yes, how do I add a request for my room to be Epcot facing to my reservation? Call in?

Thanks so much!!!!

1. According to my notes, yes! Looks like all nine CL GV rooms have full balconies. (The stats on the daybeds, however, are less promising!)

2. Not sure - sorry!

3. I've read several posts about the best way to make room requests when staying CL. The only thing we usually request is "full balcony," but I wanted to ask for a daybed (again, rare for CL GV) at BC and "away from ESPN club" at BWI after reading BWI reviews. I wasn't sure whether to call Disney reservations or contact IPO with our requests for our upcoming stays. We found BC and BWI IPO so helpful that we made our requests through them via e-mail. They seemed to be most knowledgeable about and familiar with the requests. (For example, when I've called Disney reservations in the past to request "full balcony," the CM was not going to add that because technically, all BC rooms have balconies or patios.) I would think either way would work, but thought it was very convenient to e-mail IPO.

Sounds like you now have a plan, but yes it is true BC CL LV only will book for a party of 4 or fewer. Due to the slant in the roof, the BC CL LV rooms do not have a daybed. Although, truely a wonderful view!!! Enjoy!

Hello all BC-ers -

quick question on taxis -

do you find them out front at BC easily and are there the van types that hold 6+ readily available?

or should I plan on calling ahead and reserving one each time?

I guess I am just wondering if there is an active taxi stand.

We tried this both ways in February (and we were a party of seven at the time, so we needed the van type, too.) Either way worked well, but a CL CM suggested that we not call ahead because we might be charged if the cab needs to wait. That didn't actually happen to us, but we thought it was just as easy to show up when we were ready. The CMs in front of the resort were able to get a cab for us within minutes. The earliest we needed a cab was 7am and the latest was 10:30pm on our way back from CR to BC. I'm not sure how it would work if you need a cab earlier or later.

The cabs are lurking somewhere close by and we never waited more than 4 minutes for a cab. You just go to the bell desk right at the front outside entrance and let the employees know you want a cab. Using their magical powers, they summon one and it arrives quickly.

I'm pretty sure the most passengers a van type taxi can take is 7.

We rented a car on our recent stay and I always saw some taxi vans waiting in the parking lot in the designated taxi spots.

Hi! We've officially changed our dates from Labor Day to Columbus Day. Our new dates are Oct 6 - 10 (can we please be updated in the roll call?). I see multiple DISers will be there at that time. :yay:  We had such a good pin code for September (sad we could not apply it to entire Oct stay), but we decided we really missed F&W last year when we went in September and we did not want to miss it again. This will be our shortest Disney trip yet (4 nights), so we'll have to pack into it as much as possible. Seize the day! Live large! I've never seen Illuminations, and this will be the year to do it. Yeah! I'm also determined to make it to the campfire. And we will not miss the pool games in the afternoon (my DS loved those in 2009, I hope the still do them. I have an awesome picture of him trying to do "YMCA" - he was 4 at that time). And, we plan to hit F&W the minute we get into WDW and snack our way through the booths. :woohoo:

I LOVE the F&W festival. What a perfect time to stay at the BC! :goodvibes

We stayed seven nights and never managed to make it to the campfire or movie. We usually were around the pool for the afternoon activities, but the kids didn't always participate. I did see the YMCA done once or twice, along with lots of other dances. They were a lot of fun to watch!

Dee - look forward to your report on that other place!

BC does have that something special, can totally understand you missing it!

There are at least four rooms that face EPCOT. We could see the EPCOT fireworks from our balcony. You could not see any of the buildings. We were the fourth room on that wing on that side of the building. According to the old floor plan diagrams, those rooms would be 5630, 5632, 5634, 5636 - we were in 5636.

Email IPO - that's great advice! Thanks! :)

A daybed would be awesome but not essential. I would rather have an Epcot view if possible... Anyone know if there are any GV CL rooms with Epcot view? Otherwise I will make my one and only request a daybed!

I'm posting today about a serious problem I encountered in my room at the Beach Club and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem....

Housekeeping during our stay provided an exceptional level of service, so I'm not talking about them. It seems that we had an infestation in our room. I have some pictures and maybe some of the sharper knives in our little Beach Club/Yacht Club drawer can identify what it was....

These things were popping up all over the room. In this picture it's a little hard to see but see if you can spot it.

Later on that same day we found one in the bathroom:

And then another in of all places....

Then we went to turn on the lamp and low and behold!!!

Well we didn't want to risk any bites so we tried to use a different lamp...

....but that didn't work either!

Finally we decided to call guest services and see if they could help but we ran into a little problem next to the phone!

Finally we found out that if you smother these critters in syrup or jam, they just disappear! So our problem was solved!!

Now if you should encounter an infestation of these pesty carbohydrates, you'll know what to do!
