You are so right. Although I have a preference and so does Bob, once you see the baby, you couldn't care less what the sex is.

It was nice telling Jeanne, "see you in about 3-1/2 weeks" when I left. It was sort of sad too on our last night together. It hit me that from now on, it's not just the two of us, it will be the three of us all the time. However, just like my Mom and I did, Jeanne and I will be taking "mom/daughter" one week summer vacations every year. Just the two of us!!! Next July we have reservations at a dude ranch in Colorado for a week. We actually had the reservation for this July (July 10th) and that went out the window when she announced Peanut was coming.

Glad you had a wonderful time. You both are very lucky to be able to see each other often. I'm sure you cannot wait until Peanut comes and LOVE the fact that you peeked. Wishing you both lots of luck and well wishes! Can't wait to meet you again in Dec. (we met very briefly in Oct '10)

Here is a meal tip: One time we hoofed it over to England for some Fish & Chips to go and brought four boxes of them back to eat in our chairs at Stormalong. It really wasn't that far of a walk. So, for something different, I would recommend doing that much in the same way many walk over to the Boardwalk area for something to eat. Someone stopped us and asked us where we got our fish. I quickly replied "England" and then had to expand on that a bit!! LOL

The BC CMs were awesome!

If anyone has any specific questions, let me know, and I'll be sure to answer!

First of all, your post has me even more over the moon excited for our upcoming trip! :woohoo: :woohoo: Also, great tip about the fish and chip stand in England! :thumbsup2 We had breakfast at the BC in February and I was amazed at how short the walk was. I remember thinking: that's it? We're here? Are you kidding me? :rotfl: So, yeah, having England has an option for CS sounds great to me!

Just got home tonight. What a crazy week. Picture this: an eight month pregnant school teacher and her old mom that has radiation poisoning and can barely move her arms ... the two of us trying to pack up and close down the classroom ... moving her desk, bookcases, all the student desks and stacking all the chairs, etc. Not pretty but we got it done. Four days into the trip and I got a sinus infection too so the good old Take Care Clinic fixed me up with antiobiotics which I needed anyway because the blistering and sores had started to get infected.

The kids were so happy to see me and we had a few really good days before school was done and the real work started. Anyway, got it all done and the best part of the whole trip was finding a great day care center. Jeanne and I were super impressed and feel Peanut will be well cared for when school starts up in late August. And she surprised me by taking me to a 3D sonogram. WOW is all I can say. She still doesn't want to know the sex but I think I know because I peeked when the tech told us not to look. I didn't tell her I peeked either.

Radiation starts up again tomorrow and I think it's only 5 or 6 more treatments and then I'm done. While away for a week, the "condition" got worse but they said that would happen. So, once I finish up with it next week, by the time Bob and I are ready to go Jeanne's on 7/10 for Peanut's scheduled C-section arrival on 7/11, according to the doctor, it should just start getting better.

I CAN'T WAIT TO BE ABLE TO GET IN THE SUN AGAIN AND GET A CRUISE SCHEDULED!!!!

I'll be back to work on Sunday and Monday. Hope to see lots of you then!!!

Welcome back Teena! My DH and I were so excited to meet you the weekend before your big trip. We really enjoyed our Disneymoon at the BCV. I'm glad we took a day just to hang around the resort this time. We hope to be back soon!

Can't wait for pictures of Peanut!

Hey Teena,

So glad you're near the end of the radiation, I know it must be rough. I'm glad you peeked, and you can get the outfit. Just remember to totally act surprised. In fact you might want to take a second outfit that is not the 'right' gender so that you can totally play off not knowing. Or get the one you really love then one gender non-specific that you like as well and call it the 'gender that you know it's not' outfit. That way she'll never know and the lucky baby will get TWO perfect outfits, because a baby can never have too many clothes:rotfl:

I love that ... great idea!

I am so excited my husband tried to talk the kids in to picking Poly. We generally have early breakfast dinning at Mk area and they would not budge Beach Club here we come. If only the time would go faster, we are not going until Sept 2012. With that being said please tell me I will not have a hard time getting to Magic Kingdom and Contemporary for Chef Mickey and CP we gen try to get 8:30 Res. Thanks in advance

If you don't mind my asking, how did you book so far in advance? I was told for example that August 2012 does not open up for booking until August 2011. And the website shows nothing after December 2011. thanks

Tomorrow is the kids' last day of school and then we can totally get into the Disney mood.

I'm starting to make "Disney piles" - you know the shout wipes, mosquito wipes, first aid kits etc. Believe it or not I'm still doing Tinkerbell gifts! I started that years ago and now I can't figure how to get out of it. Of course the "gifts" have gotten way more expensive than when they were little! I just put a bag of them away in the back of the closet.

I can't believe that I switched our first two days to the GF this close to our trip. I thought I had stopped doing that years ago!

I am sooooo ready to be sitting by SAB - with a sunken treasure in my hand. I also can't wait for our traditional first day at BC - lunch at Beaches and Cream. In all our years at Disney I'm ashamed to say that we still haven't tried the kitchen sink. I say every year that THIS WILL BE THE YEAR!

Hope everyone who is there or is close to going has a magical trip!!!!

Teena-welcome back!!! :goodvibes I hope you're feeling better by now w/ the meds for your sinus infection. Thinking good thoughts and healing vibes for you as your finish up your radiation!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Any chance we'll be seeing you when we're visiting the BC 7/21-7/27? Hope so!! We can't wait to see you again!:flower3:

I got my Magical Express tags yesterday :cool1:

Only 20 more days to go!!! I am almost packed!!!

Mine came yesterday too... however, I still have 36 more days :rotfl: :rotfl:

Too funny you should say that as that's the same situation with us! :rotfl: DH and I Disneymooned @ the BC in 1994 and we've not stayed anywhere else but the YC/BC since then (we've got to be up to at least 7 pre-kid trips and this will be our 8th post-kid trip-so 15th BC stay since '94) My 8 year old DD has been asking for years to get one but I'm just so repulsed by all the different stuff on the sundae:rolleyes1 esp. when I've got a thing for the No Way Jose :rotfl: I think this year we may have to cave just so we can say we did it :thumbsup2

Thanks - you are absolute right, I just looked! Anyone know what is the difference between the YC Deluxe Club Level and the YC Standard Club Level rooms? the website says the Deluxe overlooks "one of 3 lagoons" and the Standard overlooks Storm along bay. That to me is very confusing!!! Cuz there's only one lagoon, which is Crescent lake, right? Oh, and I forgot to mention, the price difference is a shocking $100 per nite!!!!! That is, during Value season in August, the Std club level is about $580 and the Deluxe club level is $680! Wow!

Hi, guys. I'm back. We got in at 8pm last night and I had to work today. Friday I should be able to get some pictures and a review of the Beach Club up.

I saw Teena in the lobby Monday afternoon, but we were late for our Captain's Grille reservations and had to book it over to the Yacht Club.

Excuse this brief commercial.

I emailed in our reservation request to our travel agent today. So I HAD to stop by and show off my brand new ticker!!!

I have a question that I hope someone here can answer. I have to make my final payment on June 20th for BC Garden View. I really want to try club level but am being a little cautious with my finances since my employer just layed off 100 people and I am not sure about the future of the company. I am currently interviewing for another company and if that pans out, I would like to switch to club level. My question: Is it possible to change reservations after the final payment is made, providing there is availiability? :confused3

Thanks

Yes, as long as there's availability and what you're changing costs more, then you can do it without any kind of penalty. Good luck!

Hi - sorry if this question has already been asked.............

What would be the best (or good) section to ask for a "garden view" room at the BC? We've done standard and water view in the past but this is a new "view" for us. Thanks!

Can't catch up on the thread tonight.... just finished packing, and we're leaving early tomorrow. Glad to see that Teena arrived home & had a good trip. See you on Sunday! Must get a few hours rest....:goodvibes

Thanks for all of the info on the Yacht Club Resort. We have stopped by to go to Beaches N Cream. This is the first year we are going to stay there, since we usually end up at Epcot for dinners. Plus it really looks great.

We are going Dec 1 - 5. Can't wait.
