2011 is going to be INCREDIBLE!!!

Lisa- I got my package too. Love it and thank you so much. Now not that we didnt have enough to worry about with our outfits, I need to know where you plan on wearing this? I am guessing on the top since you guys have sparkle skirts.
I don't know yet where I will wear it. I don't wear a hat, and it wouldn't work on my sparkle, so probably on my shirt, when I decide what I'm going to wear. I just ordered some new shirts from champion last night, and we'll see when they come in. I also thought if I get a spibelt or something, I may put it on there. It is cute.

Good morning Incredibles!!! Hope all who got snow survived and were safe.

I am happy with my training. I did my 10 miles on tuesday and it went much better than I expected. I did my 5 mile route twice and stopped in the house to use the bathroom, have a drink, some gummies, and stretched which took 5 min, and then went out and did the same rout again. I was thrilled to finish the whole thing with a pace of just under 16min/mile, including the break!! I think I do actually feel like I can do the full half now. I did 5 miles yesterday, more walking with a friend than running, but we still were under a 15 min pace average, so I am feeling more confident I will not be swept. I did find a new route of quiet streets so i can run more safely with all the snow.

Hope everyone is doing well, and able to get some running in.

Have a great weekend!!

VERONICA! So glad to hear the good news on your test results! :cool1: You'll be back to running in no time.

I do wear a hat so I am thinking hat or somewhere on my shirt. I just want to be sure that we get a picture of the three of us together for our teamies! :goodvibes

Good job on the 10 miles, Kathy! :cool1: I think we can walk the half if we need to which makes me feel better with 6 weeks to go! princess:

Veronica, I see that a lot of the teams are going to threads for the year. We may want to think about that for the INCREDIBLES too. :goodvibes

Lisa, that is a good idea! I can change the title and we will have one big party thread for 2011!!

I am getting back on the treadmill tomorrow, weather here is just TERRIBLE!!! We are expecting ice and sleet tomorrow. Then back to the bitter cold on the weekend.

To my Princess INCREDIBLES-you are almost there! I am so excited for all of you!

Kathy- great job on the 10 miles! I know how much better it feels to have done the distance in a kicka$$ time and feel so much mote confident about the race.
Veronica- good for you getting right back into it. I am so happy for you about your results.

Last week was pretty ugly at my house. DS ended up with strep throat and an ear infection. DD came down with stomach virus that spread to the rest of the family. My one attempt to run left me with tight flutes and was ugly. So now we seem to be restored and I am easing into workouts a little more. Did 1 hour at the gym on machines yesterday and am back today doing machines and some abs. I think I will head out for a little 5k this afternoon, but not too fast. I am running a 5K on Saturday with my brother so I do need to run between now and then:$.
BTW, I love the idea of one thread for the year.
Hope you all are having an INCREDIBLE day!

I ran a 5k this morning and ended up running a fantastic race. I was hoping to run 24:30-24:45 and ended up running 24:01!! Very happy. I am now sure that I will make my goal of sub-24 and hopefully win a pie at the annual Race for the Pies this June:).

Beth, I got a kick out how you were talking about running a little 5K last weeK and then -- pow! you get a PR! :yay: 2011 has been a great year so far for you -- you get a PR every time you race! :woohoo:

Did you ditch your watch again? I was reading about holistic running and running without a watch is a sign that you are in tune with your body and spirit. :hippie: Sadly, my body and spirit still do quite a bit of squabbling on my runs. :sad2::rotfl2:

I was INCREDIBLE and did my 8 miles yesterday. Not as INCREDIBLE as Kathy and Lindsay who did their long runs outside yesterday -- but I was training at FL temps! ;) :sunny: And that was 8 miles on an indoor walking track -- ::yes:: 88 laps! :rotfl2: (I started my count over at each mile or I would have lost track).

Have a great week-end INCREDIBLE!

Beth-You go girl!! PR Queen you are!!:thumbsup2:cool1::banana:

Lisa-bless you running 8 miles on an indoor track! I would go bonkers I think, not quite as bad as the treadmill, but still:rolleyes1

I have been slacking this week, I just can't get motivated to get on the treadmill. I may try doing some of the Exercise on Demand videos this week to do something different. Weight isn't going down, but its not going up either, which is okay I guess.

Keep up the good work ladies, you are all INCREDIBLE!

Lisa- thanks! The race was super fun and I seem to keep underestimating what I can do. Makes for happy finish lines, that's for sure;). I did run with my watch this race, but I liked the races better without it so I think I will leave it behind for at least the 15k in March. I may wear it for the half I am running with my BFF since she is after a sub-2 and I want to make sure we don't go out too fast and bonk. I do run at least one day a week without a watch and try to really enjoy the run. Try it sometime, you might surprise yourself. BTW, you are a hero for running 8 miles on any type of track, let alone an indoor!
Veronica- thank you! I do feel like the PR Queen lately. Really only hoping for one more this year. We have a race in June called The Race for the Pies and women have to run sub-24:00 to get a pie. That is my goal. So I need to drop 3 seconds;). I hear you on the motivation. I have to have a race to help me with that. DH actually made me make some commitments 2 weeks before Disney so I would get right back into it and not drive him crazy! Ha! I do like having time to do more XT now.
Nothing exciting here this week. DH has a big company-wide thing Friday so he is crazy busy all week. I am getting back into my normal schedule from Disney and then sickness, so that is nice. We are running the tax program this week to see what the refund will be and then working on budget fir this year. Actually looking forward to that since we are trying to go to AK for my cousin's wedding in July. Keeping fingers crossed that we have the $. It will definitely be tight. If we go I am planning on running a half up at Edmonton AFB just outside of Anchorage. It is tiny (300 runners) but should be a neat experience. Plus if I decide to formally announce half-fanatics I have that state out of the way.
Hope you all had an INCREDIBLE weekend and enjoy your week!

great race beth. You are one speedy woman.

I was INCREDIBLE and did my 8 miles yesterday. Not as INCREDIBLE as Kathy and Lindsay who did their long runs outside yesterday

Oh dont under estimate yourself lisa. What you did is not only incredible but amazing. 88 laps and 8 miles later....you should be totally proud of yourself.

Hi Team!!!

as Lisa said I was the incredible nut who ran 8 miles outside in 15 degree weather yesterday.:lmao: I dont think the weather was as much of an issue as what I put into my body the night prior. I had a bachlorette party I attended and had a few beers and shots. I didnt have a good night sleep either. So by the end I was happy to be done and hoping that I will feel better when I run my 10 miles in 2wks. Today my body is really feeling the soreness from jumping over the piles of snow and running in a few inches of snow. People really need to shovel thier sidewalks and make sure they shovel the handicap slope that leads to the street. Their were so many times I got to the end of a sidewalk and had no way of crossing the street except to jump over and sometimes in the snow.:headache: I think I may have strained my buttocks muscle in the process. I hope it feels better in the next day or two.

Keep on being incredible ladies!!!!!

Good Sunday morning INCREDIBLES!

Found us on page 2! We are all so busy training that we don't have time to post! princess:

Hey Incredibles! Had a yucky 10 mile run yesterday. First double digit run since marathon weekend and I guess I took too long. Felt stiff and rusty:(. Also expecting AF any minute so bloat and cramps didn't help the situation. Oh, well. It is done and I can move on now.
One of my running buddies needed a runner for her marathon relay team for the National Marathon to Beat Breast Cancer (or "the Donna" as we affectionately call it here in JAX) so I am running leg 2 of that. Pretty excited since I haven't been on a relay team before.
Starting to plan what most likely will be our last trip to WDW for several years in April (season passes expire May 4 and we are planning on going to other vacation locations until 2013 or 2014). Doing Flower and Garden Festival with my parents. Should be fun! Should we pop over to MK to ride Dumbo in it's classic state one more time?
Hope everyone had a good weekend and that the Princess runners are feeling good about their last few long runs before taper time.

Hey INCREDIBLES!! How is everyone? Life here in the frozen snowy tundra is just *peachy*. I am SOOO tired of snow. It is so bad I got a snow day from work today. Took me 2 hours to get to work yesterday, for ONE patient to come in. At least the boss got smart (finally) and cancelled today because everything is closed, including some of the city offices. Most places are only having essential personnel come in.

I have been spending time with the treadmill. I am dong a 12 week treadmill workout that I got from Active. It is all walking, but has speed and incline workouts, along with some strength moves. It is supposed to be a fat burning workout, hopefully it works! Of course that would depend on my eating:rolleyes1

Not starting training until mid April, so this 12 week plan will take me until then. Once the 17 feet of snow melts, I may be able to get out to run again.

For my Princesses, its almost time! I am soo excited for all of you, I can't wait to hear all about it.

Keep being INCREDIBLE ladies!

Sorry about the sucky run, Beth. Why is it that the memory of the bad run overshadows the memory of all the good runs? :confused3 And you've had such a great 2011 with all those PRs! :flower3:

Flower and Garden should be a lot of fun. DH and I are hoping to do that next year when I do the Princess again. You should definately do Dumbo one more time as it is! :thumbsup2

Sounds like the TM workout is a nice change, Veronica! :goodvibes Active.com has some good info in their emails.

I'm getting ready for my 10 mile run on Saturday -- my longest run ever! princess: I'm feeling pretty strong and ready for the Princess in three short weeks. I will do the rest of my runs on the indoor track. There is a big difference to me a novice runner in actually propelling my body vs. using the TM. It helps my confidence, too, because I cannot stay on a Princess pace with the TM. :cool2:

Kathy, Lindsay and I are planning on meeting up at the Expo and will get an INCREDIBLES picture to share.

Have a great week-end and stay warm! :sunny:

Sorry for the bad run beth. We all have this happen to us. Im sure your next run will be awesome. I was so upset that the princess was moved back a week this year. I was really hoping to see F & G. I guess that gives me an excuse to make another trip in the future.;)

Hey INCREDIBLES!! How is everyone? Life here in the frozen snowy tundra is just *peachy*. I am SOOO tired of snow.

I am tired of it to. I cant wait until it is warmer...I will take mid to upper 60's and I also cant wait until it stays lighter outside longer. I wonder if mother nature will take my order???:lmao:

I am so proud of you Lisa. You are doing so great with your training. I cant wait to meet you in person. Only 3 more weeks.:woohoo:

I too am preparing for my 10 mile run. I am doing it on sunday since sat is bringing us more bad weather. I hope people get out and clean their sidewalks off or else I may be ice skating 10 miles vs. running.:rotfl2: This will be my longest run to date and although I am feeling strong, I am also freaking out a bit. I did the same thing when I had to do 8 so I guess its just me. I just hope I can relax and enjoy my days in disney prior to the race without stressing and worrying too much.

Lisa also was so kind to send Kathy and I incredibles patches so we will be wearing those as well. We are going to be incredible princessess!!!!!

Good morning Incredibles!!!!!

Thanks Lindsay for just posting and bumping this thread to the top of my list. I think of everyone here, but don't get over and post as much as I'd like.

Princess training is going good. Going to try for 12 this weekend, but will do at least 10. I'm on the fence as to where. I'm going to call a gym for a trial visit with a track, but am hoping sunday afternoon I will get outside. Depends on tomorrow's storm. It's supposed to be 38 here sunday, so that would be nice, but all the side roads are still snow covered, and I just don't want to slip.

Beth- are you going to be ok without disney for a few years? It seems like before every wdw trip I take, I start thinking I'll take a break and go elsewhere, but when we get home, I can't wait to start planning the next trip. I thnk a visit to Dumbo is in order for sure. Sorry about the bummer run, but like lisa said you have had an amazing year. When 13.1 seems tough during the princess, make that if it feels tough, I'll be thinking of you doing 26.2 the next day, and get my butt moving.

Veronica-Good luck with the new treadmill workout. I bow down to you and all who can do the treadmill. I used one for 6.5 miles, and wanted to cry. I hated it. I'd rather be outside, and lately my short runs I've been running inside my house, just through the kitchen/playroom and living room. I'm right there with you on all this freaking snow. DONE WITH IT!!!!! Praying to that early spring from Lindsays neighbor Puxatawny Phil.:rotfl2:

Lindsay and Lisa- 3 weeks from right now we'll be heading to the expo!!!! Yay us!!! I'm getting so excited. It will be such an Incredible time and I'm so excited to meet you guys in person. This is it, our last long run before the taper! Good luck Princesses!!princess: WE ARE GOING TO ROCK THE PRINCESS!!princess:

Keep on being Incredible ladies!!

Good morning INCREDIBLES!

I'm so excited to get my bib number for the Princess today -- it's 10209! :cool1: It is a nice little boost for my long run today. :yay:

Aww, thanks, Lindsay. I so cannot believe that I am really doing this! princess: It's going to be so fun to see you soon! :flower3:

::yes:: We are going to rock the Princess soon! princess:

Veronica, hope the new TM workout is going well for you! :goodvibes

Beth, hope you are recovered from your bad run -- anyone who can do a Goofy is a winner in my book! :worship:

Have a great week-end! Hope everyone stays warm, has great runs and your team wins the Superbowl! :cheer2:

Thanks for all the nice words ladies:lovestruc. I AM so proud of my accomplishments over the past year. It has been a stellar year for my running and I am feeling so over the moon still about everything I have improved in:banana::banana:. It is nice to have a sounding board though;). My bad run did turn into a bad week, both running and in general. I am glad for it to be over and ready to start anew! I did have a great thing happen this week though, DD is potty training and is doing so good!! She has been dry for several days now with only one accident and she was on her way to the bathroom when that happened. She is even waking up dry!! So proud of her:love:. My parents took the kids last night so DH and I are having a lazy morning. We are planning on biking down to the farmer's market in a bit and then picking up the kids. We will most likely do an easy 4-5 miles this afternoon and then just hang out with the kids for the rest of the day. Sounds like heaven:cloud9:. Tomorrow we are moving our vegetable garden and will probably order our seeds. Fun!

Lisa - :yay: Congrats on your bib #!! It is so close now. You are going to ROCK IT!!

Kathy - GL on your long run. Stay safe on those icy roads:scared1:

Lindsay - You will be fine, I remember going to 10 for the first time, I was terrified!! Stay safe and GL!

Veronica - Sounds like a great change of routine with the TM workout. I am trying to get some toning in too since weights went out the window when my runs got to be so long around the Holidays.

Have a great weekend INCREDIBLES.

Hi ladies!

Wow I didn't realize it had been so long since I had been over here. The last week has been a blur for me. A close childhood friend passed away on Sunday and the week has been spent in preperation for the service for her and getting everyone together. The service was yesterday, it was lovely. We cried quite a bit, but laughed a lot too. Our gang of girls hasn't been all together in about 3 years, and we were saddened that it took the passing of one of us to make it happen. We have vowed to not let so long go by before getting together again. Its hard though when we cover a few states and all have families and jobs etc.

I have been sticking to my treadmill plan, but still off with my eating. Hoping to get back on track with that this week.

Princess is coming soon; I know you all are getting nervous and excited. I am nervous and excited for you all!! I can't wait to hear all about it. Enjoy your taper, it is a great time to do more mental preparation than physical.

I will have an inspirational quote for you closer to the race.

Veronica- I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. Glad you and your friends were all able to share the laughs as well as the tears.

Good morning Incredibles!! I haven't been here in ages, and still need to decide where to wear my incredible patch. I'm thinking I may make it into a pin, and wear it on my shirt for the race by my bib, and then I will have it for future disney races, and I can wear it at the expo too. Can't believe it's in 2 weeks from today!!!!
Actually I think we'll be at the finish line about now!!!!!

My training's going good. I did my 12 last weekend, and was just over a 15min pace, so thinking that gives me 13 extra minutes to pee.:lmao:
I'll do my 8 miles tomorrow when I get out of work at 2, and it's going to be 45 degrees here so I'm excited for that!!! The end of the week will be in the 50s, but I'm working long days thur and fri, so I won't get to enjoy that.

Hope everyone's doing well!!!!

Have a great week!!!
