hi comicguy, i was wondering if you could tell me where you sell your comics? not sure if you are allowed to, but if you can, i would really appreciate it! are they specially packaged or rated? thanks for any help you can give!

pm sent with some information

Posted an item for sale on Amazon yesterday morning and it sold in the afternoon! YEAH!!!

DH is off today, due to the snow storm, and I'm gonna try to get some kids clothing sorted while he's playing with the kiddo's.

Appointments tomorrow, so nothing will be accomplished, but hoping to make up for it over the weekend!

Sold two more books overnight:cool1: It is awesome to see things leaving the house on a semi regular basis:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Ugh. I so need to do this and stick with it! I did a lot last summer when I was home on materinty leave, but since going back to work, I feel like I get nothing done. I thought trying to get rid of 1 bag a day was reasonable, but have only been managing to do this on the weekends. I have a few tubs to go to the kid consignment sale in March, and can't wait for the weather to break so we can do a HUGE yard sale.
I did notice a big dent in DS toys upstairs, so I guess we are making some progress. I have to tackle the spare room...its a huge junk collector and I want it to be functional!

Does anyone know how long you need to keep paperwork for? I think I am probably hanging on to things that can get shredded.

I got 3 grocery bags of clothes dropped off at the thrift store today, finally. They've been sitting in my room ready to go for over a week so I'm glad they're out of the way. I still have two piles of boys' clothes to get rid of, I'm hoping they'll sell on craigslist, but I haven't had any interest so far.

I got rid of a mess of cables today. A whole bunch of composite and VGA video cables and some ancient computer cables. I should probably sell them for their copper content, but I'll probably CL them for free.

Another bag of clothes ready to donate today to add to the four I'd already put together last week. Based on another thread, I've started keeping a list and taking photos / documenting what I'm donating so I can enter it into it's deductible and deduct on my taxes next year.

I also dug out the ole beanie babies and am looking for an organization to donate them to.

Not much to report lately but I got rid of the following:

2 old textbooks
2 novels that I have finished reading
6 more comicbooks
2 comic TPB's
6 magazines that I finally finished reading

Went through my now defunct home business inventory - put together 2 boxes of stuff to donate to a day care & firehouse auction, and am looking for homes for the rest of it. That condenses 2 rubbermaid-type tubs down to 1! Woo Hoo! :cool1:

OK, so here we are on 2/12...I haven't started yet, because I took on a crazy project for a few friends. I hold a very successful children's sale 2x a year in our town. We sell everything for infant to age 8, so clothes, toys, bikes, baby gear, etc. so it's a great motivator for me to really purge every 6 months. I agreed to take on 2 people's mountains of clothes (literally...it was like 8 garbage bags each!!) to first try ebay and then sell at the children's sale... What a project!!! I have enough to stick to my own next time! Usually our sellers do their own work, they tag their items and then help at the sale. We only pay the cost for renting the room, event insurance and advertising, so everyone keeps 100% of the money from the items that sell. The good thing is that I am getting deeper and deeper into my stashes to sell more this time than ever before. I am not sure where it all comes from!! I am being MUCH more careful thanks to this thread about buying unnecessary items. I definitely do NOT need to buy another kids' birthday gift for probably the next 12-16 months!

I am off to clean out the hall linen closet...I figured if I post it, I am then accountable to actually go do it! Hoping to find a few more things to sell...we are also planning a spring regular tag sale so anything I find is going straight into the tag sale tub!

decided that my goal is to try to check in with this board once a week to try to keep me motivated. Looks like there hasn't been much activity lately though :confused3

So this weekend I found a few more places to donate some of my inventory towards, put together a small bag for the Salvation Army and have a big box and bag for the trash. <-- Unfortunately it's too windy to put them outside until trash day so they are in my front room/office.

I think today we are going to tag team on the kitchen and get the kitchen table cleared and the cabinets organized. <-- I hope. Not too motivated today.

I spent all of yesterday going through the kid's summer clothes from last year, sorting what could still be worn and what was outgrown. I have a huge bin to take to consignment. I'm so glad to get it out of our house! Now I have to find some replacement items. :upsidedow

I also have two large bags of clothes to donate. And I went through the kid's school papers. I have bags and bags of recycle to take as well.

I still have more to go through to weed out old summer things. But not nearly as much. Overall, a very productive weekend. I'm glad to have made progress.

This weekend I have been cleaning out our storage closet. I am about 2/3 done and have three boxes to donate to goodwill and four trashbags ready to go to the curb. I hope to get the rest finished by tomorrow afternoon.

My MIL is remodeling her bathroom and gave us two big wooden medicine cabinets. We rent and have no use for these at all :confused3 Dh swears that I told MIL that I wanted them, but I can't even imagine why I would have done that and can't recall a conversation where I did. I think maybe she had that conversation with someone else and thought it was me. So I got one listed on craigslist today. The other has a mirrored door and I like it so I'm going to hold onto it and see if I can find a purpose for it before I let it go.

On the bright side they did give me a shredder that I DO remember saying I wanted because we didn't have one :thumbsup2.

I'm also going to get a humidifier that I don't like listed on craigslist today.

Dropped off a bag of old sheets at the humane society on the way to church this morning, and 2 bags at Goodwill on the way home- books and clothes. Not feeling very energetic this afternoon but going to clear off my desk and reorganize the top two drawers in the bathroom vanity. Chances are once I get that far I will keep going but I'm just starting with a bite size goal for the afternoon so I don't get discouraged!

Who wants to give me tips on how to get rid of some stuff? Sometimes I feel like a mini-hoarder LOL. Not really, but a lot of the time I feel attached for some reason to almost everything I own and have a hard time getting rid of it :confused3

I have been working on the yard because I am trying to get done before because season. I have a huge yard that is cover with leaves left and right.

I have done a few things declutter but not much.

I bagged up another 3 bags over the weekend to donate. My mom commented that she wished we could hold a massive garage sale with some of this stuff. The probably being we'd just end up storing all of this junk until we had the time to hold the garage sale.

I want this stuff GONE now....

my destashing is in HIGH GEAR right now. I'm in major nesting mode getting ready for my baby. Problem is, I have pulled out almost every closet in the house at the same time! it's a mess around here! But I am making pretty good progress and am determined to have this done before baby comes. So many projects are getting done around the house that I think I should have a baby every year to keep the house nice....ok maybe not that...but still, it is a wonder what preparing for a baby can do for your house!
